Do not leave your pets in the backyard while you are away. Also, please do not leave your pet unattended in the house for more than 4 hours. • If your pets join you on the furniture, please use the pet blankets. We provide a bunch!
Please note:
To keep our minimum cleaning fee as low as possible, we charge fees for 3+ guests and pets. Please enter your total guest count and pets, if any, so VRBO will calculate your cost correctly (We don't want to surprise you with fees ever!).
We have mature trees, and the parking is pull-in/back-in only (not pull-through) so tall vehicles such as RVs cannot park in our driveway.
There are two small steps into each entry door.
Depending on the time of year, our yards have grass, flower pots, shrubs, and trees, so we do get insects, including bees, mosquitoes, and spiders. We provide citronella candles/sticks, and RAID spray in case you need to deter/remove any particularly problematic little buggers.
Two active recording security cameras, including audio and motion lights, are in the driveway and front entry/walkway. We respect your privacy, so our cameras do not include any indoor space or the backyard.
Like most homes in the southwest, we have an evaporative (swamp but runs through duct work) cooling system. This means in extended periods (more than 3 days, typically) of very high heat and/or high humidity, houses don’t cool off like they would with A/C. This house doesn’t typically get hotter than 74 degrees even in peak summer but if you are heat sensitive, please be prepared. We do provide a window unit for an additional boost in mid-summer.
There are 8 car charging stations within 1.2 miles of the house. We cannot allow EV charging on the property. Guests disregarding this rule will be subject to a $300.00 inconvenience fee plus the additional kWh used and subject to any maintenance/repair costs to the property including but not limited to electrical inspections and repairs.
Guests who cause smells or damage to the house or furnishings due to smoking or vaping inside, using the woodstove, improper use of plumbing, insufficient pet control, tampering with the camera or batteries, etc. will be subject to deep cleaning and repair fees of at least $600.
For VRBO guests who do not have any/recent reviews, we do require ID+photo for validation. It helps us keep our property safe and in good condition. Thank you.

The home is immaculate, well maintained and stocked with all the essentials plus! It is absolutely ready for your furbabies also with clean dog beds, treats, and a cat tree! It was perfect for our needs and yours!
Colleagues and I were in town for a conference week and we wanted a quiet escape to retreat to after the long days. The Adobe casa was absolutely perfect. The rooms were lovely and everything was comfortable with lots of sweet thoughtful touches. We did not bring pets but if we had they would have been just as comfortable as the humans. Our host provided so many thoughtful extra touches like a yoga mat and foam roller that really helped after a long drive. I plan to come back for a fun trip and would absolutely stay at this spot again.

I'm sorry to see your "poor" rating even though I know y'all enjoyed the house for two weeks. I suspect your rating is in response to me charging you for the small loveseat replacement. Please keep in mind that I tried to work with you. If you had been receptive to my inquiries about what substance the stain might be, it's highly likely we could have gotten the stain out instead of replacing the loveseat. As noted, when I contacted you, we do take pictures between each guest so there is no question the damage came from y'alls stay.
In addition, it's imperative that you don't ask hosts to communicate with you outside the platform - it's against the rules but more important it makes communication challenging.
May you have better stays in the future.

Hi, I'm an avid traveler and a remote worker. The dog, cat and I split most of our time between Colorado, New Mexico, and Utah. We love our Albuquerque house and hope you do too.
