The accommodations were great. Rooms were comfortable and w everything was as described. There was plenty of indoor and outdoor space. The kitchen had everything we needed for our meals. I would stay there again.

Honestly wish there was a rating level above excellent. Everything about our stay at Cosmo Retreat exceeded expectations. The welcome - to a beautiful home and with music playing in the background was an amazing start to our trip. The house is great, the surroundings are beautiful, it’s a fun area to stay in, and it’s a perfect location to explore everything from the coast to Napa Valley. It would be a little hard for people who have trouble with stairs, but other than that, I can’t imagine a better, more well-rounded place to stay in the region.

The house was as promised with lovely views. It was well furnished and in a quiet country location. All three bedrooms and both baths were downstairs with an open kitchen/living area above. Both levels had great decks. We enjoyed our stay!

The outdoor area was great and it was nice that there was a propane fire pit and grill for use. The upstairs of the house is perfect for a group setting with its open floor plan. Location is great. Easy to get to the coast and the wineries. Only downside to the house was the bathrooms. There are no bathrooms upstairs in the main area. The bathroom with a tub is tiny and hard to move around it. Beware, the tub is super slippery too. The bathroom with a shower is bigger so you can actually move a bit, but man that shower is tiny. I am by no means a big person and I could barely cram myself into the shower. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

Stressful Experience: Hidden Post-Booking Fines & Poor Management

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Exercise caution before booking this property. After locking in a non-refundable reservation, the management company sends a multi-page contract packed with heavy fines for minor infractions—none of which are disclosed anywhere in the listing policies prior to booking. The home itself is very builder-grade with thin walls, tiny rooms, bathroom and showers are slide-in and uncomfortable, non-functional curtains (huge safety issue for our group of girls) or no curtains in the kitchen area, which BTW is directly overlooking a cemetery!! 

Despite paying a full cleaning fee and a non-refundable $95 damage deposit, checkout instructions were ridiculous - including sweeping the floors with a provided undersized handheld sweeper. The management took a full 6 hours to responded to our checkout questions! We do not recommend booking here if you want a stress-free vacation.

This was especially disappointing to read, as Cosmo consistently receives very positive feedback from our guests, including recent reviews describing the home as clean, comfortable, well-appointed, and a great place to stay near the Russian River. We also want to clarify a few points for future guests. All charges are disclosed through VRBO prior to booking, and our house rules are straightforward: please let us know if something is damaged so the damage waiver can apply, take reasonable care of the home and linens, and no parties. These policies are clearly stated in our listing and rental information. We also pride ourselves on being accessible to our guests. There is a Full sized broom and vacuum in the downstairs laundry room. Our team is available every day from 9 AM until 10 PM, with after-hours emergency support available as well. If something isn't right during a stay, we genuinely want to know so we have the opportunity to help. We understand that every home will not be the right fit for every guest, and we’re sorry Cosmo wasn’t the experience you were hoping for. We stand behind the home, our team, and the many positive experiences guests continue to have there. Review from the guest before your stay, "Great experience! Relaxing Stay

The property was clean and well stocked. Everything one needs is provided. I’d recommend driving to the river/beach locations as the walk is on a main highway road. Would definitely recommend to others for a nice little getaway.

Great property - new, clean and well accomdated.

We had a great stay - the beds were small but comfortable. The stairs are a little hard to manage with small children and elderly but otherwise great - and you can access from the outside. Great kitchen, A/C, and walking distance to the amazing Hacienda beach. Perfect distance to the wine country, Thanks!

Redwood Getaway

Enjoyed everything about our stay. Warm, inviting stay in the redwoods. Nice play to rest and have some fun with friends. Quiet and away from it all. Hot tub was wonderful, and a beautiful deck to relax on. Thank You.

Great Hidden Gem in Russian River Area

The living and outdoor areas were so nice and got to enjoy them at night. The rooms and bathrooms were also comfortable and only recoemd to refresh the pillows that were a little flat. It was close to ocean and wine country!! Will book again for sure.
