Cabin is located just over the hill to the east of the Rio Grande Club. Bring those golf clubs and get ready to golf on one of the most beautiful courses in Colorado!!! Fly fishing in the area is simply fantastic....catch your dinner and then grill it on the patio!! Hiking trails are all around. Explore the backcountry by foot or rent an ATV and spend the day in the mountains surrounded by the beautiful mountains. Pagosa Springs is just over the pass and has hot springs, rafting and several restaurants. Creede is only a 30 minute drive and has a live theatre, historic mine, shopping and abundant outdoor activities to experience. Lake City is a little bit farther but is an absolutely beautiful drive with ATV and Jeep rentals and trails accessible directly from town. Stop in Cottonwood Cove for some ice cream or some horseback riding. So many choices and all so close to the cabin!! Get outside for a day of fun on the slopes at Wolf Creek Ski Area and be wowed by the view!!!

Great cabin in Rio Grande National Park!

It was a great cabin and the right size for our family of 5. It was in a perfect location for us to be able to see all sides of the Rio Grande National park.

Thank you so much for the wonderful place for our vacation!

Private, beautiful views (day and night), and VERY comfortable!

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend and felt like we had gotten away for a week! The cabin and beds are super comfortable with everything we needed. We really appreciated the location, near so many hiking trails, the Big Meadows Reservoir, and fun towns like South Fork, Del Norte and Creede. Possibly our favorite things were the privacy and quiet, the views from inside and the front porch, the gorgeous sunrise, and the millions of stars at night, including Venus and the Milky Way!

Thank you Karen for sharing your lovely cabin with us 😊

Beautiful on the outside

Decent cabin. It gets really hot without any AC so be aware of when to use the fans. Overall, it was good and I would stay there again.

Owner's Response: Thank you so much for visiting! The cabin can get warm if its a very hot summer day. Some ideas for what we plan for a warm day are something like white water rafting (that would definitely cool you off!), go swim and explore the Sand Dunes National Park or Pagosa Springs where they have the hot springs and a swimming pool with spa services, do the Alpine Loop out of Lake City which has an elevation of 12,000 feet and will be downright COLD at the peak or go hike, fish or picnic in the higher elevations where it is always cooler. Hopefully you get to visit again!
