Very nice house, though showing some wear. Yard & pool were beautiful. Outside spa did not work. Neighborhood was nice - very quiet. Note you will receive multiple warnings against any outside music (apparently per Palm Springs ordinance). We received communications about the stay from both VRBO and the local property company, which was confusing at times.

Great get away

This Palm Springs house exceeded all expectations! It was spacious, located in a nice, quiet neighborhood, and very clean. The kitchen was well-equipped, the beds were comfortable, and the entire home was welcoming. The pool and outdoor area were absolutely fabulous. We would definitely stay here again!

Fantastic stay in a clean property. Perfect for our family of four. Quick 5 minute drive to town and walking distance to trails. We really enjoyed our time at the property.

Nice Location, Great Space

We needed a place to work while the kids were off for break and wanted a place with a pool. We were pleasantly surprised by this location! Lots of room and everything you need. We will be back for sure.

Great property especially the outdoor space. The property managers were very responsive to our questions and were very flexible in making this a great weekend with siblings and spouses.

Lovely Home with Some Issues

OK, this is a lovely home, and we all enjoyed our stay...would stay again. BUT there were a few things the management company could do differently. This house is very thin on kitchen consumables (salt, pepper, oil, etc...). Be sure to bring EVERYTHING you'd need to cook (food wise), etc... There is nothing complimentary. First issue we had was with the ALARM. The instructions tell you to punch in the code, then "off"...there is no "off" on the alarm box, so the alarm went off, and the police came. While the alarm was going off, I closed the front door to get away from the sound, and slammed my fingers in the door. If you hold the door handle and close the door, your fingers will get smashed, because the handle is too close to the door jam. So, to start off the vacation 1) alarm/police, 2) finger smash. You also need to pay extra for heating the hot tub...and you can't leave it on, so you need to warm it up before you want to use it...every day...takes a couple hours. Other than those things, we loved it. Close to town, easy Uber rides. For the price (>$700/night)...things could have been easier/more care. This should be a 5 star rental, and I'd blame the property management for the removal of 2 stars.

The house was well laid out and large enough for a group to come together and hang out, or have some privacy. The pool and back yard area was amazing! All the amenities you could ever need.

Fun in the sun

Property was very nice but a bit run down as other reviewers have mentioned. Some paint, replace light bulbs, small things. Also had trouble with entry keypad and the manager thought I was a idiot and couldn't open it. I will have to make sure I get my money back for my higher education degree.

Great spot, quiet location.

The house was great. The layout is nice and having our own pool was fantastic. The pool and hot tub are a bit aged…but it didn’t effect the use at all. I would stay here again!

House is the perfect size, back yard is beautiful and location is the best! However, the house is a little dated. It is definitely clean but the furniture is getting old and uncomfortable. The pool, oh the pool............ ...............The pool & backyard is supposed to be our little piece of paradise. However, when it's over 100 degrees outside and the pool is 92 degrees........... not so refreshing! We called (texted) 3 times about the pool temp. We were told it was "normal" because it was so hot outside. We've been coming to PS every year for 10 years............... that is not normal!! and 2 guest in our group live in LV....... that is not normal!! Also, in the 10 years of renting vacation homes in PS, we have never received a complaint........... so beware of grouchy neighbors!

Great place to stay unless something breaks

On our first of 3 nights at this property we discovered there was no hot water. I called the property manager first thing in the morning & at first was impressed by their response. But after 3 hours with no communication from the handyman nor the property managers, I called again. After the handyman arrived he told us the hot water heater needed replacing. While this was not what we were hoping for, we also understand that things break & it’s not anyone’s fault. When the plumbers arrived they looked at the hot water heater & told us they'd be "right back" but were gone for over an hour (I presume to go buy the replacement, but it would have been nice to have been told.) After returning we weren’t told they were turning off ALL of the water before they did it, nor were we told it would take over 2 hours to fix. We cancelled dinner plans because none of us had showered in over 24 hours. I had asked what sort of reimbursement we might expect; the person I spoke to said she would have to ask her supervisor. I didn't hear from the supervisor until I called again to follow up (they apologized for not calling me yet.) I was asked what sort of reimbursement I expected, instead of the property manager having an answer to the question I had asked hours before. Since we had been inconvenienced for over 24 hours, I asked for 2 nights reimbursement. I was told I would hear back first thing the next day at the latest, but I did not, again being the one to follow up. The homeowner felt that 18 hours reimbursement was fair since the heater was fixed by 6:30 PM. I felt as if none of our inconvenience was considered & let the property manager know this would be reflected in my review. She then told me that my review should reflect how nice the property was & that contractually the homeowner wasn’t required to give me a monetary reimbursement of any sort. While this is true & they are entitled to decide what they think is fair, I am entitled to disagree. The monetary difference is not the issue; our inconvenience was not a priority, we had to put most of the effort in to be updated on what was going on & were then nickel & dimed but expected to be grateful to get anything. I consulted with owners of rental properties who said they would have either refunded 2 nights or all 3. I’ll certainly look at contracts of future rentals more carefully, I would never rent from a place managed by McLean again. But if nothing breaks, you’re in for a lovely stay.

Perfect home for little getaway

Husband and I stayed her for our babymoon with our dog and it was perfect! Everything was available that was listed and needed. House was very clean and the pool was just perfect. Only thing I would suggest is that there be a little more lighting in the backyard, like maybe uplighting to the privacy bushes in the back. The lighting available in the backyard was a little dim and made it hard to see out there and those would add such a great touch. Otherwise, the house was great! Would definitely book this place again in the future!
