'Artist Cottage' is located in the Village of Bar Harbor near the Town Pier, Town Beach, historic Shore Path walk, and the Museum in the Streets self guided walking tour. Built in 1948 the cottage has been lovingly rehabilitated and features the perfect blend of nostalgia with modern amenities. The cottage has private off street parking and is walkable to boating, shopping, dining and cultural activities. Bar Harbor is named for the 'bar' to Bar Island which forms the harbor. Bar Island, portrayed by David Maitland Armstrong in his late 1800's painting, 'The Bar, Bar Harbor', is a short walk from the cottage.
The wrap around porch with panoramic views is a vacationer's delight. The king bedroom has a large attached full bath.
There is a spacious modern eat-in kitchen with Maine granite countertops. There is everything you need from wine glasses to garlic press! Relax after a day of hiking in leather recliners. The second full bath is just off the living room. The "kids' room" has twin beds.
What could be better after a day of boating and hiking, followed by a gourmet dinner, than a walk home to your own cottage in the heart of Bar Harbor?
