Adventure awaits! Western NC and North GA abound with opportunities for recreation and relaxation. Set your sights on long-range views with visits to Bell Mountain in Hiawassee (20-minute drive) and Brasstown Bald (highest point in GA, 25-minute drive). Spend the day on Lake Chatuge with a boat or personal watercraft (rentals available from local marinas). Want to immerse yourself in nature in the Nantahala National Forest? Bring your mountain bikes and ride the first-class trails at Jackrabbit Mountain (also great for hiking and dog-friendly) 15 minutes from the property. The Chatuge Dam Trail (17 minutes away) offers a paved, dog-friendly path for those who want an easy stroll with sweeping views of the lake and mountains. Fires Creek Recreation Area (30-minute drive) is another Western NC local favorite for hiking with picturesque views, swimming, and trout fishing. On the GA side, take a 30-minute drive to a waterfall hike via the High Shoals Falls Trail or make the 35-minute drive to Alpine Helen, GA for a taste of Bavaria in the Blue Ridge Mountains as well as tubing and zip lining. Hungry and thirsty after a day of exploration? Visit the outstanding local restaurants, wineries, and breweries in and around downtown Hayesville and Hiawassee for not-to-be-missed tastes of local flavor.

*There are several excellent boat rental places in the area, including Lake Chatuge Marine, Young Harris Water Sports, Boundary Waters and Margarita Jacks.

* Living room, with plenty of seating Tv is streaming, and a wood burning fireplace
* Dining room has seating for 10 people. Half bath, laundry room, mud room and garage is also on the main floor
* Bedroom #1 King Master bedroom

Third floor:
* Bedroom #2 Queen bedroom with private bath
* Bedroom #3 with 2 twin beds and private bath

Terrace level:
* Kitchenette with full size refrigerator and microwave and regular drip coffee pot and keurig
* Living area with gas fireplace, TV, shuffle board, and checker board
* Bedroom #4 King bedroom with private bath
* Bedroom #5 Queen bedroom with private bath
* Hot tub on terrace

Feel free to enjoy the dock. The owners' boat may be docked at the dock during your stay. It is not part of the rental and is not available for guest use.
If you bring or rent a boat, you're welcome to use the dock. Please be mindful of the water depth when docking, as it can vary depending on lake conditions.
