We had a wonderful weekend at Jen’s cottage! It was peaceful, cozy, and perfect for a family getaway. We especially loved the fishing and had a great time using the rowboat and canoe. Jen was very welcoming and responsive. We’d happily stay here again!

We had a wonderful girls weekend at the Abide cottage. Jen was very friendly and helpful. The cottage is very cute and we fit 5 of us in the cottage nicely. We enjoyed the paddleboat, kayak, and canoe. We had a lovely stay!

Our week at the cottage was amazing. Had the opportunity for the entire family to disconnect from devices and spend time talking, fishing, and eating some great area food. Cottage was clean and well equipped with easy access to the lake where the fishing was outstanding. There are kayaks available to use and the kids loved taking them out on the lake. Couldn’t ask for a better experience.

This was our 2nd time staying here, we are looking forward to staying again.The fall colors were beautiful, and the lake view is amazing.The perfect place to unwind and relax.

Cute cabin! We are fishing folks so the dock had lots of lily pads and weeds. There is no way of getting a pontoon or a boat up to the dock. Blinds on bedroom windows would also be nice. Communication was excellent!

Thank you for the wonderful 3 nights at your cabin. Jen was very accommodating and didn’t hesitate to let us use their aluminum fishing boat, kayak, paddle boat, and canoe. Although we didn’t read close enough to see there was no WiFi or tv, it ended up being the best blessing. If you like fishing - my family caught lots of bass, bluegills, and northern pike! Extra bonus - the casino had fireworks and we could see them from the cabin! An awesome getaway, would stay here again.

We had a great time! It was a small, stocked, rustic cottage for a nice affordable getaway. It reminded me of a cabin i went to as a kid with its quirks and a slight slant! The property was beautiful and quiet. We utilized the fire pit. We do wish the windows had curtains and the beds were more comfortable but overall was good for a few days away. Also know there’s no beach on big sand lake so the closest beach was at clear lake 20 min away.

Nice, cozy cottage with lake views and access to a dock and water craft. Limited power outlets in the bedrooms made it a challenge to charge devices. I would bring extension cords if you want to charge multiple devices.

Can’t wait to come back again. Everything was better than advertised. Clean, comfortable and talk about relaxing. The perfect family weekend for us. Beautiful mornings, fun filled afternoons and relaxing evenings around the fire pit.The fishing was amazing the family memories made were priceless.Nobody wanted to leave and everyone asked to come back again!

We loved our stay. We both commented that it was perfect for us to unplug and just have quiet, sister time. We drank wine, listened to an audiobook, and put together a 1,000 piece puzzle. It was definitely relaxing. We did each say that it would have been nice to have some sheer curtains on the windows though. At least in the bedrooms and the bathroom.

Hosting allows us to share this special little corner of the Northwoods with others who are looking for the same kind of quiet escape from the busyness of everyday life.

Our hope is that every guest leaves feeling refreshed, connected, and a little more at peace than when they arrived.

One of our favorite things about this property is the privacy and natural beauty surrounding it. With 40 wooded acres to explore, abundant wildlife, calm lake mornings, and stunning sunsets, it’s the kind of place that invites you to unplug and simply enjoy being present.

Burnett County also offers the perfect balance of outdoor recreation, small-town charm, and peaceful seclusion.
