Property is on the Olon stretch of beach, has a fully equipped house for rent, with direct private access to the beach, jacuzzi, laundry service, Beach Palapa, barbecue grill, hamacas, Beach tent with beach chairs and tables. Sits directly on the ocean front, near the town of La Entrada, has its own parking place, its 2 and a half hours from Guayaquil Airport and 40 minutes away from Salinas Airport, Direct access from the main road, its 10 kilometers north of the turist town of Montañita but in a quiet stretch of Beach, Free Internet and Wifi. Care takers living directly inside property can provide assistance. Cleaning and other services as airport transfers or taxis can be provided as required.

Perfect Getaway

This is the second time we’ve stayed here and we love it. It’s perfect for a group vacation where you just want to relax. Kitchen is always well-stocked with the basics. We were also able to have surfboards delivered from Olón to be able to surf right outside the house!

The location is very nice but the property need maintenance

The house is very nice. You can enjoy a beautiful view of the sea and be fascinated by the sunset. The bad thing is that they don't maintain it. One of the bathrooms didn't have hot water, there were no extra sheets for the sofa beds, it didn't look clean. The bedspreads looked like they hadn't been washed in a long time. The kitchen utensils already look old. The jacuzzi and the pool were very dirty and sandy.

Not clean, black mold, lack of maintenance

Exterior of property is nice, as is the town and beach area, and that's about it. The interior pictures do not match the current state (June 2022). The master bathroom had black mold with faint attempts to clean but only smeared it, clear neglect in cleaning is evident as a simple wipe of a napkin cleans some of the mold off, shower heads were full of slime and mold. The house had many visible scuffs and signs of wear. Master bath sheets were stained (blood?). Kitchen was in neglect, there was a burnt piece of bread left in oven, the fridge smelled pretty bad like it had not been plugged in for a long time. hot tub water was cloudy and did not look appealing. The linens in the house were in poor condition. Although the property owner was very flexible with check-in due to road block protests at the time, ultimately he lacked professionalism in his handling of this situation. he justified the property is in a rain forest and hard to keep mold away, but that is an unacceptable excuse to deviate from advertised pictures. We agreed that I would only stay (and pay) 1 of the 3 nights and would be refunded the rest, I also refused to pay the cleaning fee since we pretty much cleaned the property to a better state than we found it. The property owner did not refund any of the agreed to funds. VRBO said it was up to me and the owner to decide refunds and payment settlement washing their hands off the transaction. I reported to my credit card fraud dept as a material non-compliance, and only paid the credit card the agreed to amount of one night. The property has potential, and I'm sure it was nice at one point as the pictures show. It was unfortunate to have my first bad experience with a VRBO and a property.

As advertised

Beautiful property right on the beach. Enjoyed the pool and barbecue area. Access to washer & dryer provided. Would recommend renting a car to access nearby towns and parks. John, the owner, provided many suggestions for restaurants and attractions. Our only issue was that the kitchen dishes were not clean and there was no dish cloth provided. Nonetheless would happily return.

Perfect for a gal's weekend!

The kitchen was very well stocked, and our group of friends had a lovely time cooking together all weekend. It felt very homey, and the space/seating areas made us spend more time together around the property than out on the town. We even saw whales from the patio in the middle of breakfast! The view/proximity to the ocean was ideal, and the beach was very quiet and private. The hot tub is in excellent condition and very clean, so this is the perfect low season choice. The caretaker was close by in case we had any questions, and John was very easy to communicate with. During the trip, we started planning for when we would like to return! Thanks for a great stay and great memories :)

Beach front Paradise

A beautiful house with ocean views from the Jacuzzi. A Fully equipped kitchen and comfortable beds made our two week stay very relaxing.

Great Oceanside retreat

We had a wonderful, relaxing time at this home right on the shore. Just right for two couples. The indoor living space would be tight with more than four but the outdoor space more than made up for it. We loved hearing the waves as we drifted off to sleep, then getting up early to warch lines of pelicans skimming the crests. Very few people on the beach, and most seemed to be locals just going about their daily routine. We enjoyed walking through La Entrada and catching a bus now and then to Olon. John was a very accommodating host who gave us some good suggestions for where to go and how to get around. The Momo restaurant in Olon served surprisingly gourmet meals and we loved sampling some of Los Dulces sweets in La Entrada. We will stay there again if we get the chance to return.

We had a great time!

A group of teachers from Guayaquil stayed a long weekend at this beach house during the off season. It was quiet, right on the beach and a super cab or bus ride to Montanita. The staff working at the houses are amazing; friendly, super helpful, and had everything clean and looking tidy the very next morning. We would love to go back during the beach season and stay here.

Location, location, location

Cannot beat the location of this Casa. Situated literally on the beach at La Entrada on Ruta Del Sol. Only 10 minutes from Olon and another 5 to Montañita. Yet quiet and private. Rooms are well-appointed and kitchen is fully equipped. Wonderful outdoor area with granite counter tops, grill, seating and hot tub. Cons- spotty internet (not accessible from back rooms), very poor and unsorted DVD collection and DirecTV is a prepaid card. On the other hand, TV was not missed.

Wonderful.

Was an excellent location. Kilometers of beach, very quiet. Loved the little village of La Entrada just a short walk away to get basics like eggs bananas and of course La Dulce de Bonito for brownies cheesecake and great cup of coffee. House was comfortable and basically equipped. A/C in all bedrooms. Resident caretakers on sight were great and their dog was amusing. John the owner was a great help and quick to respond to any issues. Love Ecuador.
