During your stay, a duplicate charge occurred due to a VRBO payment not registering properly in our system. Our manager immediately began investigating the matter, and when the call became increasingly unproductive due to hostility, it was politely ended with assurance the issue would continue to be resolved. That same evening, the duplicate charge was fully identified, refunded, and a confirmation email was sent from our office. VRBO’s only involvement was a brief call to confirm we were already aware of the issue; they did not process the refund. Prior to your stay, the washing machine was damaged by a power surge during a recent storm. Despite our best efforts, it could not be repaired before your check-in. Rather than waiting for parts, the owner replaced both the washer and dryer with brand-new machines during your visit. To compensate for the inconvenience, we provided two complimentary days of pontoon use (valued at $470) and personally delivered fresh towels while collecting used ones. While you requested an additional free night, we felt the measures already provided more than fairly addressed the situation. Dart tips were replaced the same day, and although one oven was not functioning, you assured us the second oven met your needs, and a service request was unnecessary. Landscaping and ant concerns were never reported during your stay, and we have not observed any ants in the house since. We also have prior communications from you expressing appreciation for our efforts and praising our service. Your review is therefore directly contradictory and paints a very misleading picture of your stay. Throughout your visit, our team remained attentive and responsive, consistently striving to resolve concerns quickly and professionally.
