About Wendy Gaida
We purchased our dream come true after many, many years of looking. We love to share our little slice of heaven.
Wendy Gaida purchased this Condo in 2015
Why Wendy Gaida chose Old Orchard Beach
This is our dream come true! This is also the only condo building in Old Orchard Beach with a restaurant and lounge below. It also is home of the largest Patio Bar on the beach! Walk right from the sand to the bar! The huge balconies are private to each individual condo. The view is amazing! Sunrises are amazing. Steps to the beach and a couple minute walk to downtown shops and restaurants. It's just a short driving distance to mini golf, mega shopping, antiquing, homemade ice cream stands and many great eating places. Just 20 minutes to Portland. You can drive, take the bus or train. The bus and train depot is 5 minutes walking distance from our condo. We are on the third floor with elevator service! The Brunswick building has just been renovated inside and out with new carpeting, paint and siding.
What makes this Condo unique
The Patio Bar! In the summer live bands play right below the balcony at the Patio Bar during the day. Great for people watching! Live bands play inside on weekends year round. The Brunswick Restaurant and Lounge is on the 1st floor of our building. You don't have to leave the building for anything if you don't want to! We are just steps away from the Palace Playground, The Pier, Pier Fries and all the shops, restaurants and bars right downtown. Five minute walk! Enjoy fireworks from the balcony on Thursdays in the summer. Enjoy sunrises from the living room and balcony. You can view the islands in Saco Bay and also see Black Point in Scarborough. Home of artist Winslow Homer. Walking distance to Ocean Park. Walking distance to laundromats, grocery store and pharmacy.

Off-season weekend getaway
The condo was impeccably clean and the direct ocean view spectacular. The bed was comfortable, the closets were stocked with extra pillows and blankets, and the filtered water in the refrigerator was a nice touch. Instructions on how to use the TV and wifi were prominently displayed and detailed; we could have used a cheat sheet on how the baseboard heating works. It took us a day to figure out how to find the right comfort level. Even though most shops and restaurants nearby were boarded up for the winter, The 'Swick was open and in full swing indoors with bands playing 'til 1am on Friday and Saturday nights. So, if you're looking to relax and listen to the ocean waves on the weekend, the sound of the band playing 2 floors below will drown that out. That said, we decided we might as well listen to the musicians in person rather than through the walls, so we spent a few hours hanging at the bar and watching the people on the dance floor. We left before closing time, and even though I'm a light sleeper, I was able to fall asleep in spite of the thumping bass beat. There's no live music on Sundays and the bar is closed on Mondays so if you're looking for peace and quiet, those are the best nights to stay in the off-season. We spent a day walking around the Old Port (Portland), browsing shops and of course having the mandatory lobster roll for lunch. The Portland Head Light on Cape Elizabeth is a must see!
I give this condo 5 stars because it was easy to find, easy to access, comfortable, clean, ocean front, reasonably priced and near everything we wanted to visit while we were in Maine.
Wedding stay 2018
We stayed at this condo for 3 nights in November for a wedding. I picked it because of the beach view. It didn't disappoint! The beach was lit up at night so we could sit on the couch and see the sand and waves. The condo was clean and looked like the pictures. I would recommend this condo but if you have more than one vehicle you will have to find additional parking and in season it will be difficult. We didn't like that the door to the building didn't lock and it has a bar attached with a door that wasn't locked. But we didn't have any issues.
You can tell how much they care about their little slice of heaven. Clean, beautifully decorated, and a cozy place to spend a fall weekend. You really can’t beat the view either! Will definitely be looking into going again next year!!
Best view on the beach!
Clean, cozy, and a fantastic view of the sunrise over the ocean... even from the bedroom!
Slice of heaven!!
My husband and I are expecting our first child in November and decided to come here for a mini vacation. Wendy’s place was just what we were looking for!! Cozy, clean, condo right on the beach, gorgeous views, and awesome bar downstairs with great music! Only a drive away from kennebunkport and Portland where we went for dinner a lot and got to explore. We loved it so much we decided to stay an extra day! Thanks for sharing your slice of heaven with us Wendy, we can’t wait to come back!!
