Marazul Dive Resort, Westpunt, Curacao, Townhome 2B, Sunset Retreat
Located in the small fishing village of Westpunt, enjoy a relaxing holiday in our lovely seafront townhome named Sunset Retreat. Sunset Retreat is our island home, and is located in a quiet, gated community. We have tried to anticipate our guests’ needs and provide everything they would want to have a wonderful holiday. If you enjoy a self-catered holiday, this is the place for you!
The kitchen is well stocked with dishware, cookware and cooking utensils if eating in is your style. There is ample food preparation space in our very nice, updated kitchen with quartz countertops. Small appliances in the kitchen include a microwave, toaster oven, air fryer, blender, crock pot and coffeemaker. Each unit in Marazul has a charcoal grill as well. If you would prefer to eat out, there are several good restaurants within walking distance of Marazul. There is a dining table with two chairs inside near the sliding glass door so you can have a sea view while you dine. This table can be used as a dining table or computer workspace using our personal Wi-Fi.
The living area space is furnished with comfortable seating for watching TV or just relaxing after a day in the sun. Our Smart TV offers hundreds of international channels so no problem finding your favorite show, sports or a movie in your language of choice.
Coffee on the upper terrace is a great way to start your day as your sip your coffee and watch the sea. We have comfortable patio sets on both the upper and lower terraces. On the upper terrace, there is a pergola for shade.
Some of our other amenities include air conditioners on both floors of the townhome, hot water in the kitchen sink and both showers, a small safe in the upstairs closet to store passports and other valuables, and fans on both floors for additional cooling options.
The lower bathroom is a combo dive storage room/full bath. There is plenty of room there to hang BCDs and regs and store other dive equipment. The downstairs bath also has a shelf for luggage storage.
There are stairs leading into the sea at both ends of Marazul Dive Resort. These stairs are convenient for diving, snorkeling and swimming in the sea. The house reef here is a very nice dive. There are two rinse tanks and an outside shower next to the pool for rinsing and cleaning dive or snorkeling equipment.
The swimming pool with plenty of sunbeds is just steps from our seaside door. The townhome is close to the pool, so it is convenient to refresh your drink or grab that book you wanted to read as you relax.
We provide a cooler and beach chairs for guests who don't want to rent chairs and an umbrella at one of our nearby stunning beaches. Our townhome has screens on all the doors and windows.
Our unit is constantly updated and well maintained. There is a bench by the back door that can be used for diving/snorkeling. We also have a night watchman at Marazul who comes on duty at 11 pm. You may see his flashlight as he patrols the property.
Be sure to end your wonderful day by viewing the stunning sunsets from our upper terrace or enjoy the sunset with other guests and owners by the seawall.

Hello Guests, Our names are Jeff and Wendy. We are from a small town in Pennsylvania and have been coming to the island of Curacao since 2005. From the very first visit, we fell in love with the island, its people and its culture.
We are retired now, but our vacations on Curacao have always been special to us. Since we retired, we have been able to enjoy several extended stays on the island. Our love for the island continues to grow. As soon as our plane lands at Hato Airport, we breathe a sigh of relief. We know we will be slowing down our daily pace and truly relaxing. When the opportunity presented itself to us to buy a townhome on the island, it was a dream come true.
We are happy to share our island home with you and hope you enjoy your stay and come to love the island as much as we do.
Please note: For stays longer than 8 days, mid cleanings are provided. Depending on the length of your stay, you may have one or more mid cleanings. A mid clean includes a change of bath and beach towels and a linen change for the bed. Toilets will be cleaned and the floors will be swept and mopped. The additional charge for a mid clean is $50. Depending on the length of your stay, your original quote may not include the correct cleaning fees. When you request to book, I will adjust your cleaning fees before approving the booking. Your cost may go up or down. For example, I will remove the mid cleaning (linen fee) from a one week booking but a two week stay will pay the mid cleaning fee. A full cleaning ($85) and one mid clean ($50) are included in an original quote when you request to book.

Since we are retired, we plan to make 2B our second home and to rent the townhome when we are not on the island. The home will be a comfortable place for guests to stay because it is also going to be our home for extended stays.
2B has a newly renovated kitchen with quartz countertops, along with all the cookware, dishes and utensils to make cooking in a pleasure. A dishwasher is installed to the left of the sink. There is also hot water in the kitchen sink as well as in both bathroom showers.
There is comfy furniture in the seating area and a dining table is included in the townhome as well. We have screens on all the windows and fans on both floors in addition to air conditioning units both upstairs and downstairs. There is a Smart TV and WiFi in the unit. The first level includes a washing machine and bathroom/shower/dive storage room. In this bathroom, there are hooks for hanging dive or snorkeling equipment. Chairs and a small table are outside on the lower level terrace.
Upstairs you will find an expanded master suite with a seating area and full en suite bathroom. The bed is a king size bed with a comfortable mattress topper. There is a sofa bed in the seating area. Our upper terrace includes a wooden table with 4 chairs, with cushions, for dining, playing cards or working remotely.
Marazul is a beautiful resort with lovely tropical flowers, palm trees, communal pool and ocean breezes. There is an on-site manager available from about 8 am - 12 pm Monday through Saturday. A night watchman is on duty every night. Marazul is a private and quiet gated community that sits right on the ocean and provides easy access to the water for swimming, snorkeling or diving activities.
We have recently made some improvements to 2B. We have added a privacy wall on the upper terrace, installed an electronic door lock, and placed a bench by the back door. Book your vacation with us and create lasting memories for you and your traveling companion!
