Within a few minutes, you can be relaxing on the Lake and Beaches in the surrounding areas, or checking out Lake Cruises, Golfing and other Outdoor Adventures around South Lake Tahoe.

COMFORTS OF HOME.
The well equipped eat-in kitchen has all the amenities of home, including a full-size refrigerator, stove, microwave, coffee maker, waffle maker, crock pot, toaster, plus cookware and dishes, so you can whip up your best recipes for the family. Towels and linens are provided for you, which means less things to pack for the trip!

LAPTOP READY WORKPLACE
A desk is set up for you in the upstairs family room, so you don’t miss a beat with work while away in beautiful South Lake Tahoe.

Got kids? So do we. The cabin is equipped with a booster chair, Pack 'n Play portable play pen, along with children's books and toys for the littlest of guests. The bonus upstairs family room provides plenty of space for playtime and family game night. We even have a train table with all the tracks and trains ready for hours of imaginative play.

PET FRIENDLY.
Got a pet? So do we. Very well behaved dogs less than 40 lbs are absolutely welcome, with additional deposit. (Sorry no cats... many of our guests have cat allergies). Our HUGE fully-fenced backyard is truly a puppy paradise!

Load and start the dishwasher
Strip any used beds and gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
Return furniture, board games, books, and toys to original spots
Set thermostat: 58°F in winter / 85°F in summer
Bag all trash and place it in the secure bear box by the driveway. Excessive trash, pet waste, stains, damage, or missing items may result in additional cleaning fees.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
QUIET HOURS: Keep noise down between 10 PM – 8 AM out of respect for neighbors. Parties are fine, but only registered guests may stay overnight.
BEAR AWARENESS: This is bear country! Store all trash and food in the bear box (not in cars or outside)
PLEAR REMOVE SHOES: Remove muddy/snowy shoes at the door when possible. Use mats/rack for wet gear

Great Winter Getaway

We had a great extended stay at Christina's place. The location was great, so close to Heavenly, as well as hiking trails. Christina was very responsive when we needed anything and did everything she could to make sure our family trip was as smooth as possible.

Cozy home

The house was great I really enjoyed the layout of the house. The kitchen was stocked with supplies. The beds were comfortable. The only feedback that I have is i wish there were darker curtains. It was hard to sleep in because it's so bright. The owner is super nice and responded quickly with all my questions and concerns.

Found this cabin online and booked in June for our christmas holiday getaway. It was a nice cabin with many accomodations. We had 8 people and a dog and were all happy and comfortable. Perfect location, close to everything. Kitchen had everything we needed to eat several meals in. Even had a belgium waffle iron. Beds were a little hard, but still received a good night sleep. We will definitely return to this cabin.

Great Family Friendly Location & Amenities!!

WOW! Thanks to Christina and her lovely home for helping the single moms create lifelong memories for our kids in your lovely home. We're already talking about making it an annual excursion. This home fit our families all without being on top of one another. We had 3 moms and 5 kids and it was great! Ample ammenities and provisions were available to our liking and we never felt more close yet never once felt like we were falling all over each other in this cozy home. Kid's loved the back yard and made the most of the great powder that we were fortunate enough to get during our stay! Thanks for providing us with a wonderful refuge and helping us share in the joy in our childrens faces as we cuddled up after a day in the snow watching movies eating popcorn and hot cocoa! Yes truly Norman Rockwell worthy adventures. You and your family will enjoy the memories too for sure!

Buyer Beware - Not As Shown In Listing Images

I will cut straight to the point. The images currently being used for this listing are old, outdated NOT accurate as of 03-10-23. Ask Host for current detailed pictures, AND ask about current conditions/issues. We learned the hard way that we should have done this, because significant issues exist. The images must be 5+ yrs old. DO NOT reflect the current condition. We are not trying to be mean/disrespectful. But, we feel like we were mis-led/deceived as to the current poor condition of home. Pics & description made it look clean, bright, up-to-date, remodeled, in great shape. This was sadly not the case! We drove 5 days from Florida arriving (mid-Feb'23) this hoise. We paid upfront for 34 days at: (xxx$$ not allowed to say per vrbo)VRBOs fees, cleaning fees, add. fees, sec. dep. (est. $X,xxx) We were very disappointed when we entered the property to say the least. This property has significant issues far beyond cleanliness. It has not been taken care of for a long time. → Genoa Property Issues as of 02.27.23 →🔽 ▪️ Microwave filthy inside/under: Greasy, grime, crumbs. ▪️ Oven is filthy dirty; not been cleaned in long time. Pots and pans and small appliances filthy, greasy, not cleaned. Inside refrigerator was dirty, mold on bottom of freezer inside. ▪️ Mold on ceilings of both bathrooms and behind toilet. *cleaner did come back to wipe off. Kitchen blind stained. ▪️ Refrigerator dented in many places, not as shown. Looks like someone took a golf club to it. ▪️ Kitchen ceiling light covers are cracked in many places and drooping. ▪️ Kitchen table wobbles. Shakes in all directions and seems as if it will fall over. Not table shown. ▪️ Carpets are filthy, stained, visible dirty trackways 1stfloor and 2ndfloor. Unsanitary *they were vacuumed when we arrived, but they need professionally steam-cleaned. ▪️ Walls need painted: covered with marks, smears, chips , cracks, holes, dirt, stains everywhere. ▪️ We killed many spiders/bugs. Not sprayed. ▪️holes in door, dont close properly; Closet doors broken. ▪️Furniture heavily stained on chair/couch, etc. ▪️Floor air vents bent, broken; HVAC vents coated in dust. ▪️Ceilings covered in stains,dirt,grime...all need painted. ▪️Oreck vacuum bag filled, no replacements, doesnt work. ▪️2nd floor toilet no flush; 2nd floor shower doesnt drain. ▪️Side door knob broken. Deadbolt to keep closed. We vacated early/ got refunded for unused nights. No other credit offered.

Beautiful, cozy cabin - centrally located!

This cabin is so clean, cozy and adorable... you can tell it's been recently renovated with nice new floors, carpets, bathrooms, etc. (cleanliness is extremely important to me). The openness of the kitchen to the family room with the fireplace makes it fun to cook while everyone can be together. It was also super convenience to get around to whatever you need. Definitely a 5 start rating, I highly recommend it!

Renovated!

Went back this summer to this great cabin with our two kids and was pleasantly surprised with all the renovations! New floors, carpets, bathroom, etc. We've always loved staying here since it's so conveniently close to everything. But with all the improvements they have made to the place, our stay was that much better. Can't wait to come back this winter!

The cabin was decent, but could have been cleaner upon arrival. Some of the furniture had been replaced (compared to photos) and needs to be replaced again - benches and tables had loose legs/feet. The new couches limit seating in the living area. But overall the cabin was a good fit for price and what we needed.

I have to say I was very excited about this trip and cabin. When we got here things looked okay however after the first day we quickly realized the cabin hasn't been well maintained. Most of the windows are missing screens or are broken which in the summer and no AC makes it difficult to keep them open all day. Then as you sit on the furniture which is seemed okay at first you quickly feel how unstable it all is as well extremely low to the grown. I am only 5 5 and feel that it is short. The rooms are okay, the house does sleep 10 however the closets are almost unusable becuase they are packed with other things. At first glance the cabin looks clean however they have a bug problem I'm sure becuase of the broken windows. The back yard is pretty unusable as well too. There is just a small steps out the back door and no deck or patio to enjoy. Not well maintained as well as no ligniting outside. There bathrooms could use some serious up dating or just clean up. Over all the picture looked better then the actual stay. On the plus side it's centrally located and in a quiet neighborhood. I just wish it was better maintained. For the price you pay it should be better kept up.

THE CABIN WAS VERY CLEAN, THE BEDS WERE COMFORTABLE AND MOST OF ALL, IT'S CLOSE TO EVERYTHING…IF YOU WANT TO SKI OR GO TO THE LAKE, OR JUST DRIVE AROUND, OR SIMPLY HANG OUT WITH FRIENDS INSIDE! Nice, yet misleading...

This cabin was in a good location as well as being clean, however, based on the photos and the description, it looked like it was going to be big enough for our family. It was not. Upon arrival, we noticed that the living room had little to no seating. The only place to really sit was on the chaise lounge. The leather couch was missing. Also, upstairs there pictured a couch, 2 chairs and a fold out futon. These all are missing. The futon was unfolded on the ground, and there were 2 very small children sized couches upstairs. The beds were also smaller than queen sized and the master bedroom bed is so squeaky that it keeps you up all night. If these had been mentioned before we booked it I would have been more understanding, however, having a party of 7 adults, with no place for all of us to sit and socialize was very disappointing. If you have a smaller amount of people, or even more kids than adults, I'm sure that this would work well for you. There are also no screens on most of the windows, so bugs will come in at night if you have them open for a nice breeze. Just make sure that you take pictures of any damage upon arrival and send to the property manager. Christina was excellent at communicating with me. She responded quickly and answered all questions. I really did like this place, there were just a few things that I would have liked to have known about beforehand.

The Dunham Love Shack

Great accommodations! Very easy to get to from HWY 50 and Pioneer Trail. Minutes away from the California side of Heavenly Valley Ski Resort and from the Casino's. The cabin was warm, clean and very comfortable. I would defintely stay there again. Keyless entry feature for the front door was excellent. I had no problems getting in and getting out. Can't wait to book a longer stay at The Dunham Love Shack.

Very nice accomodations for my family and friends. Loft accomodated our teen and young 20's group and the adults hung out in the family room. Cabin had everything we needed. My only complaint is the beds were kinda hard, but heck we weren't in Tahoe to laze in bed. And I did get a good nights sleep. Close to heavenly and Sierra and the fun southshore casinos. Great neighborhood. We'll definitely be back.

Winter get away

This home looked small, but is well planned out, we had plenty of space and areas for kids to gather and play games, adults to chat and all had our privacy if we needed it. Easy to get there and the owner was available if we had any questions.
