Cozy, Well Equipped House 4 Blocks from Downtown.

Bedrooms 3
Space 1,400 sq. ft.
Property type house
Minimum Stay 3 - 7 nights

About the property

3 bedroom/2 bath. Perfect for 2 couples or children that need their 'space'.

The front porch is a favorite perfect place to relax and watch the world go by. The back yard is private, and has a sitting area and a place to barbecue.

The house has central air conditioning on those occasional hot summer days, and whole house fans if you want a nice breeze coming in the windows for those nice cool evenings. We offer free high speed wireless, phone with unlimited local and long distance calling, and cable TV with extended cable, HBO and Stars.

Step into the warm cozy living room with lots of comfy seating, an antique oak mantle, and a flat screen TV with Tivo and a DVD/VCR player.

The kitchen is where we put a lot of effort in providing all the conveniences of home. We feel vacations should not be spent doing things the hard way, so we have lots of appliances, crock pot, bread maker, mixer, blender, food processor, etc. etc. The table seats 4-6.

The master bedroom off the kitchen has a lot of personality with it's sloping roof and antique queen size bed. There is an antique bench at the foot of the bed too. Lots of storage space.

The bedroom off the living room can be used as bedroom (it has a twin trundle bed (with 2 twin mattresses), and if needed a first quality inflatable twin bed). It can also be used as an office, with a printer/fax/copier/scanner available. There is also all the equipment needed for a quilter if you want a quilting getaway.

The bathroom has a tub with an interesting old shower head. There is also a full size front loading washer and dryer in the 'mud room' for your convenience.

The basement level has a nice private suite with a compact full bathroom with shower. There is an extra sitting room and bedroom with queen size bed. Additionally there is a twin bed near the bathroom. The sitting area has lots of seating, with a big ottoman in the center to play games on, or just lift your feet and watch the flat screen TV. The queen bedroom is right off the sitting area, with a closet for storage. There is also a treadmill for when you didn't enjoy enough walks around town. There is a utility corner to show off the furnace, AC, and water heater but the rest of the space is finished and has large egress south windows.

We at the Quilt Cottage work hard at making sure this is a homey environment, providing the extra things you would have at home. We have stayed at rental houses that had 2 dishes and not even salt and pepper. The kitchen is so completely equipped you could cook a holiday meal and have company over to share it. This is no sterile hotel suite.

Combine with the Northside Hideaway and/or Fridley Cottage just a block away for more space! Both have vrbo listings and lots of great reviews.

As with all Bozeman Cottage vacation rentals, the Quilt Cottage is fully equipped with linens, pots/pans, cooking utensils, spices, dry goods (flour, sugar, etc), and comes with coffee beans and grinder & Dr Bronners soap. We also provide extensive local info on everything from where to buy real Montana meat & locally grown vegetables to great hiking trails and rafting links. We believe in local economies and know the best places!

The Quilt Cottage is a licensed and permitted tourist home facility through the Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services, License # 301645.

About Paul House

We have a business in Bozeman that allows us to telecommute from our home in Southern California, We love to come up to Bozeman as often as possible and love having a homey place to stay for extended periods. Because we stay at this house often, we make it as pleasant as possible, and make changes and improvements to the house every trip up. Here is the 'before' picture of the house we have upgraded.

Why Paul House chose Yellowstone Country

Bozeman is a very relaxed town, any hobby you may enjoy has a place in this town. There are always activities going on, plays, farmers markets, fairs, etc.

When we first saw this house it was a fixer upper. We loved the location, and decided it was worth fixing up. We love the quiet street, and the easy walk to downtown.

What makes this house unique

Beautifully restored 3 Bedroom, 2 Bath house on a nice, quiet street within easy walking distance to downtown Bozeman. Air conditioned and accommodates up to 7 people. Nice front porch with outdoor furniture, and great little back yard with bbq.

Guestbook comments from the manager

“We really enjoyed the house – especially the porch. We spent a lot of time sitting on the porch with friends”

Montana Thanksgiving

  • 5 of 5

I gathered with my children and friends at the Quilt House to cook and serve our Thanksgiving dinner. The house was stocked with the dishes, spices and linens needed to entertain on a holiday. Two levels in the cozy house was nice to spread out for post- dinner games and movies. The house is conveniently located walking distance from Main Street in a quiet neighborhood. We appreciated adequate parking, comfortable beds and a home-away-from-home feel during our 4 nights stay. I would highly recommend the Quilt House to others!

Great place to stay.

We loved our stay at the Quilt Cottage. The kitchen was well stocked as well as the bathrooms. Thank you for providing the little things that make staying in a VRBO enjoyable. The fire pit was ready to light when we got there. We love the Wild Crumb bakery which is a block away and Main St. Is 4 blocks away. Stayed 2 nights . My son graduated from MSU. Had a party at the house. Thanks .

Rental as described!

We were very pleased with our stay at the cottage. It was great for us to be able to cook and relax as we visited our daughter and her husband for Easter. We would recommend this rental as a great place to stay.

Very homey and comfortable and always appreciate a place that welcomes our little dog. It is close to Main Street and it was nice to walk to dinner and breakfast. Marissa worked with us on this booking and was extremely helpful and prompt with information and replies.
