Birthday getaway

The house was beautiful, clean and very very spacious. We had a wonderful time in the pool, game room and movie room together. Would definitely stay again and tell everyone about this Vrbo.

Perfect spot, exactly as advertised and worth every penny

You need to be close to the awesome pool and clubhouse and this is as close as you get. We walked across the street and enjoyed all of the many amenities. Then we came home and enjoyed our own private pool in the backyard-worth paying for the heated pool. Unlike other units here this home had only one neighbor, so it was very private. The parks are mostly 12-20 minutes easy drive if you go early. We will be back when i take my granddaughter to Disney in 2 years.

Spacious family friendly home

My family chose pre-registration so we could go right to the home upon arrival. Fernanda was very helpful through this process. The property was cleaned but definitely not deep cleaned prior to our arrival. The home had plenty of room to spread out. The pool and hot tub were great for relaxing in after a long day at the parks. The community amenities were a short walk across the road. Very quite family friendly resort. Overall our stay was amazing and we would definitely rent from them again.

Great stay! Great location!

This property was great! The common areas, kitchen, and dining table were big and spacious. Enough room for our family to spend time together or spread out as needed. The bedrooms were also nice and big. The location is very close to the Disney parks, restaurants, grocery stores, and the Vineland Outlet. Universal parks weren't too far either. The property could use an update to the carpets, as they were starting to look old, and the floors were creaky upstairs. Also, when entering through the gate at night, there are three options at the gate --- scan, enter a code, or press call. I guess every home on the property has a different option, and the instructions weren't clear which option to choose for this property (CALL). But overall, we had a great time during our stay! I would definitely recommend!

Comfortable, spacious home for extended family vacationers

The property was lovely. Nice spacious 6 bedroom home that comfortably hosted 6 adults and 2 toddlers for our Disney vacation. The rental process was good. The home was clean. The pool heat was on and operating when we arrived. And the location in the Storey Lake development was ideal, right across the street from the Beach Club. All of us enjoyed relaxing at the beach club. It's a great facility with something for everyone in our group. The reason for the average review is the supplies that were available for our use. The only thing supplied at the home was toilet paper, linens, and towels. We had to do a grocery store run and buy paper towels, dish soap, dishwasher soap, coffee filters, and trash bags. Also the coffee pot and blender was not operational. Not having morning coffee is a show stopper for us so we purchased a new coffee pot for the home from the nearby Walmart. I phoned the rental office to let them know and no one ever called to respond to my request to be reimbursed for the coffee pot. Also, there were no beach towels so you had to purchase your own or pack them in. It appears that the lack of beach towels in Florida may be a common practice as our second rental on this trip also does not have beach towels. We've rented through Homeaway many times over the past 8 or 9 years and I've never rented a property that had no dish soap, paper towels, dishwasher detergent, etc. Most will give you a starter pack of these basics. If a few basic supplies had been there when we arrived, this review would be a 5 star.

IDEAL LOCATION BUT NEEDS CLEANING CHECKS

Firstly let me say we loved the location of this property . Close to the 535 and minutes to Vineland Shopping mall. Ideal for Walmart Publix and Target . The clubhouse area a few steps across the road with Lazy River ,Pool etc but sadly no shelter from the fierce sun .No parasols. Florida Scandi were perfect in all communication and checking in instructions . Now the bad part.——- Blinds in the Lounge are we’re broken and missing spars . One of the doors wouldn’t lock and one other door had broken handle . The handle was fixed immediately after phoning the office Thank you . No spare bedding and mattress protectors had clearly not been changed .They were stained with blood. The tiled floor downstairs had not been washed it was dirty and sticky. The pool area was really dirty . Table had not been wiped down Cigar and cigarette stubs and used tissues around the pool area. pool also needed cleaned. Photos of this house show it to be in amazing condition but the cleaning firm needs to be looked at I’m afraid. I would use Florida Scandi again I was very impressed with the communication but in a different house .

All around great home.

Overall a fantastic home for a vacation with multiple families going to Disney. The home was spacious and had everything you would need - laundry, large number of cups/dishes/pots/pans for cooking and very well organized, game room and TV room for the kids, pack n play for infants. Trash pick up was also great as it happened daily - so if you have several families like we did, we never had issues with getting rid of the trash. Very convenient location - minutes from grocery stores and restaurants, 10 minutes to Disney parks, and right across the street from the clubhouse. The only slight inconvenience was the inability to get chairs at the clubhouse. If you arrived any later than 9:30 or so, getting any chair was near impossible. This may be due to a high traffic time of going (Spring break), but it would be beneficial for the clubhouse to purchase more lounge chairs. This was not a big deal for us, as we were at the pool most days by 9:30. As well, we could always use the pool at the house. The only other potential change to the house that could be beneficial would be the height of the beds. We did not request a home that is wheelchair or handicap accessible (so this is not the fault of the rental), but all the beds are quite low to the ground. So if there are any family members that are elderly or have mobility issues, it could be more difficult getting in and out of the beds. Overall, great experience at this home - we would rent it again.

The vacation was very nice.

All and all the stay was nice. We paid for heat and really didn't have no heat in the pool. 😪 The grill wasn't cleaned so we had to cancel the barbeque for that day. But other than that it was nice very spacious and clean.

Beautiful home

Our overall experience at this location was wonderful. It was conveniently located to grocery stores, restaurants, and attractions. The Hideaway Club in the gated community was wonderful (except it was love bug season). The house is beautiful and very large. Plenty of room for all 9 of us that stayed there. Only thing is we wish there had been ceiling fans in the bedrooms at the house. There is one ceiling fan in the den downstairs and upstairs but none in any of the bedrooms. Coming from SC we are used to dealing with the heat and "stuffiness" and Florida is worse. We were all miserable at night trying to sleep. Everyone had to keep their doors open to get any kind of air movement and my husband even went and slept on the couch downstairs. Even so, I still gave this house a 5! It was beautiful and perfect location, but just needs more ceiling fans.

Beautiful Home!

The home is awesome! However, the kitchen could use some more pots, pans and cookware. The whole idea of having to fight traffic 9 miles away to get the key and sign some paperwork that could have been done on-line before arriving is stupid. This is all because of Florida Scandi Vacations Management. It's time consuming and a real act of laziness on the property management system. The other thing that sucks about this section of Storey Lake is the scan card to open the gate. It takes an expert with a major math degree to get the scanner to work. Find something better or get a new printer and scanner that actually works. Even from our home we would watch folks trying to get in and some would take over 10 minutes to finally get the gate open. It's the most ridiculous process we have ever seen. There were no directions about how to obtain this scan card. We had to turn around and go to another gate to get the card. Really dumb way to do this. Get it done BEFORE the guest arrives. It's all about customer service and not Florida Scandi laziness. If it wasn't for the scan card, the gate problems and Florida Scandi Vacation Property Management this would have been a 5 star rating. We will NEVER rent again where Florida Scandi is involved. They have the process so hard to obtain and inconvenient. Vacationers do NOT want to spend time in that awful traffic just to obtain a key and sign paperwork. They are on vacation and don't need to adhere to lazy ways of getting their keys and paperwork. All that could be done on-line. It is the 21st century....get with the program!!!

Great location and property

Our extended family of 12 had more than enough room and the house is furnished beautifully. Only thing I would possibly suggest is that they supply enough cooking supplies ( pots and pans) that are big enough to cook for a large family. Also there is no recycling option and it was painful putting everything in the trash. We had a great stay and I would recommend and use this property again. It’s also right across the street from the resort clubhouse, pool, slides etc which was a plus.
