This home features a beautiful outdoor bricked patio area overlooking a wooded backyard full of wildlife. Enjoy breakfast in this renovated kitchen with top of the line appliances. The den and dining room feature the original crystal chandeliers.There is an English cottage vibe in the home, but with the perfect blend of modern upgrades. This wonderful house boasts a king bed, queen bed, full bed, and twin bed, perfect for families or groups of friends. With amenities like WiFi, a hair dryers, and a fully equipped laundry room with washer and dryer, your stay will be superb. The 4 bathrooms offer a bathtub and shower for ultimate relaxation. A great place to call homebase while you're away.

Lovely Home away from home

This was a lovely home we all really enjoyed! Fresh flowers and chocolates beside our beds greeted us! My family of 5 did not want to leave and will be back to stay right here when we come back to the area again!

Great house!

We were traveling for a baseball tournament and loved this property! Check-in was super easy, there was plenty of room and it was convenient to so many places to eat and activities. Shawn was a wonderful host! He was very responsive, left sweet touches and made us feel right at home! We would definitely stay again!

Great stay

We were in town for a sports tournament and stayed here with close friends. The house was very spacious and accommodating. The host was very responsive and answered any questions that arose promptly. I would definitely stay here again if we ever found ourselves back in West Monroe.

Perfect for Cozy Family Holiday Visit

Our family spent the weekend before New Years together- visiting our newborn granddaughter and her parents. Cozy and nicely decorated. Lovely and private wooded back yard! Shawn was a friendly and helpful host!

Fantastic House

The house is beautiful and the neighborhood is very quiet and convenient to downtown. Our host thought of so many wonderful touches! Fresh flowers throughout the house, chocolates by each bed and relaxing music playing when we got there. We will definitely stay again.

Beautiful large home with updated kitchen. Lovely rear porch and amazing yard. The garage was a nice amenity. The host was super. Very communicative and helpful. Fresh flowers throughout the home and snacks in the kitchen. It was a perfect location for our events in West Monroe and Monroe. Would definitely stay here again.

Phenomenal property and host

Shawn was amazing to work with start to finish. The home is so full of charm. I love that she has preserved many of the original fixtures and features. From the front door to the back patio, everything was beautiful. Her little touches like fresh flowers, chocolates and snacks are the perfect welcoming touch! If we are ever back in West Monroe, we will stay again! Thank you Shawn for opening your home to us!

A West Monroe gem!!!

My family and I were in town because our daughter was competing for Miss Louisiana. The house was lovely with all of Shawn’s thoughtful touches like fresh flowers, snacks, and even a gift for our daughter who was competing! Great Southern Hospitality and a beautiful environment to retreat to after each night of competition!! We even saw a deer one morning in the wooded area near the back patio which is a treat as well! Absolutely wonderful stay that my entire family enjoyed!! Thanks so much Shawn and Chris!!

Great house with lots of space to do things. Both frigs were broken as was a toilet seat. All got fixed while we were there. 1 bathroom upstairs for three bedrooms. Three downstairs (2 showers and half bath) for one bedroom.

My husband and I were born and raised in Central Louisiana. We moved Monroe to attend college and never left. We’ve made West Monroe our home for 35 years. We are both self employed, myself as an Interior Designer and my husband and I own a commercial lawn maintenance & landscape company. We love to travel and spend a great deal of our time in Colorado where our 2 oldest girls live. We love the feeling of a cozy home to stay in while away and want to bring that experience to others traveling here. It’s so satisfying knowing other families can enjoy this beautiful home.

This neighborhood is family friendly and has been for generations. The neighbors all look out for each other. My parents lived in this same neighborhood and we loved seeing families walking together or with their dogs, riding bikes and just enjoying family life. We loved this former 1 owner home that had been so well taken care. It has so much charm and We knew it would be welcoming for traveling families.

This home has so much charm. The layout is perfect for multiple age groups within a family with many common spaces to gather. The sunroom and decks offer beautiful views. Most days you can sit and watch the deer roam in the back yard. The bayou offers a unique collection of birds and wildlife that come to visit. We have high end appliances and large dining spaces that make entertaining so easy. Everyone has room without feeling cramped when its a full house. This home was built for gathering!
