Casa Rubina es un elegante y encantador chalet, aislado pero accesible. Se puede llegar fácilmente desde Esperanza o la costa norte a través de carreteras pavimentadas. En la propiedad muy privada y cerrada, que está rodeado por la naturaleza, y te vas a caer dormido con el canto de las ranas y de atención a la música de los pájaros.
El interior de la casa incluye la sala de estar que está abierto a la zona de comedor y la cocina recientemente remodelada. Las paredes de las ventanas dan impresionantes vistas de las colinas, bosques, Bahía del sol y el mar Caribe más allá. La sala / galería de ventana conduce a dos dormitorios con baño Jack y Jill, y termina en el dormitorio principal con baño en suite. El dormitorio principal y segundo dormitorio ambos tienen acceso directo a la zona de la piscina a través de puertas al exterior. 3 Todas las habitaciones tienen aire acondicionado y ventiladores de techo.
Además de la piscina, los espacios al aire libre incluyen un bar, un pabellón de comedor con capacidad para 8, y una zona de cocina parrilla de gas. Los pasos hacia abajo desde el nivel de la piscina es una terraza de madera, que es ideal para la meditación o encuentros tranquilos. Casa Rubina was a wonderful place to stay in Vieques. Its mid-island location offers beautiful, sweeping views of the southern coast, and the constant breeze kept the house comfortably cool throughout the day. The beds were very comfortable, making it easy to relax after a day of exploring. Despite being centrally located, the property feels surprisingly private and secluded. One of the highlights was the sunny outdoor pool area—bright, open, and inviting, which really sets Casa Rubina apart from other mid-island stays. A peaceful, well-designed retreat that we would happily return to.

Checkin was easy. Hannah met us there and went over everything with us. The property around the house is beautiful and I enjoyed watching the sunrise from the pool deck every morning. It’s only a 5 min drive to Esperanza and only about 10 from Isabel. The house is well stocked with everything you need: beach towels & chairs, coolers, books and games, a fully stocked kitchen. Plenty of space to spread out and hooks, hangers, luggage racks, drawers, etc to keep all of your stuff! We loved it!

Great location, house and view

We have been going to Vieques for nearly 15 years. This place was one of our favorites and has great views. Can easily accommodate a family of 6 or two families with smaller children. Easy arrival and easy departure with great communication. We traveled the day that the crowdstrike event occurred and Julie checked in to make sure we were okay. We rent 4-5 VRBO’s a year and this service was top of the line!

Great location, great host, wonderful property. Everyone is always happy in this house. Thanks to Hannah's help we even had an island car to rent. Just rent this place and enjoy!

First, house personnel are fantastic! Julie responds quickly and efficiently. Hannah ( house manager). Is amazing! Responds quickly. She really takes pride in keeping the place maintained and at a level that i have rarely experienced on Vieques at other properties. My only complaint is about house flow. The location of the pool is not accessible off of the kitchen living area. It makes gathering with guests inconvenient. Overall nicely appointed and great views.

A Victory for Vieques

Casa Rubina offers everything one could wish for in a vacation rental: spacious, air conditioned bedrooms, comfortable beds, well-appointed bathrooms, airy living room and kitchen and an outdoor area that provides relaxation in every way. Lounge chairs, deck settees, dining table under a roof, gas grill and a pool complete the picture. With its expansive views of the gracious, manicured grounds and the sea, one feels a million miles away from everyday stress. Hannah, the manager, went out of her way to make sure everything worked well in the house. The gorgeous beaches of Vieques are 10-15 minutes away from the house. Wonderful!!

Patio pleasure

This was a beautiful place! The view was gorgeous, clean, lots of attention to all the items that may be needed to enjoy your stay. Salt water pool was great and we spent quite a bit of time in it. Was hard to keep cool inside but, when on a beautiful island you can’t have it all. Would definitely stay again.

Beautiful view and breeze

Casa Rubina is a beautiful property and very conveniently located on the island. The grounds are just gorgeous with everywhere exotic flowers and mango trees bursting with fruit! The house itself is roomy and comfortably furnished and quite spacious. The gallery windows allowed a wonderful breeze to flow through the house all day. The main part of the house could get pretty warm during the day (air conditioning is only in the bedrooms) but the open windows kept the air moving and the living room more comfortable. My only complaint is that the washing machine didn’t work. The property manager said to call if we needed laundry done, but it didn’t seem especially convenient for her either. Beach towels were limited so we used them all week without washing them, which wasn’t ideal. Also, the beach close to the house, Sun Bay, was closed the first two days we were there, and we had been depending on using that beach with our three year old. Unfortunately she got sick about mid week, and wasn’t able to get to the beach much at all. But the pool at the house? Amazing! We used it all day and into the night and the beautiful view of the coast during the day and the stars in the night sky were what made the trip special for us. The adults were able to do a little more exploring of beaches, and we voted Navio the best beach on the Vieques. Vieques is a beautiful and charming place, everyone is very friendly, and I would definitely stay at Casa Rubino again.

Fantastic Holiday!

This is a beautiful property. Not only is the house gorgeous, spacious and welcoming, but the grounds are stunning. Hannah, the property manager, is extremely responsive and responsible. There is a binder that describes all the beaches in detail which was very helpful. The beaches of Vieques are amazing. This was one of our all-time favorite vacations, and we would definitely rent this property again. Thanks for a wonderful holiday.

Great House & Amenities

We stayed here for several days and loved the house. The views from the property are stunning and photos really don’t do it justice. Pros: Views, location, updated kitchen, great pool, fantastic grill. There’s also some leftover sunscreen, big repellent, and all vera that precious guests leave for incoming guests. Hannah was top notch and even picked us up from the ferry in a bind after we couldn’t get a taxi or shuttle bus. She walked us through the house and provided an excellent tour. Cons: missing toiletries for guests, living/dining room needs to have optional AC for guests who gather to cook and eat dinner. Also the dryer needs to be repaired. We ended up packing wet clothes for our trip back. However, despite these cons, Casa Rubina is still one of the best VRBO’s I’ve stayed at.

A Month at Casa Rubina

This is a wonderful place to vacation. Everything we needed was there. There is no better view in the Caribbean than from the pool at Casa Rubina. The new kitchen is well equipped. Hannah, the House Manager, is great and has many good suggestions for your stay. We have already reserved a month for next year!

Amazing!!

We had the best time at Casa Rubina for our week in January!! The house was beautiful, clean, in a great location, and the views were amazing. The kitchen was updated and very functional. We cooked several meals and a birthday cake and the kitchen had everything we needed! The A/C worked perfectly and the house was very comfortable. Plenty of towels, extra pillows, coolers, pool floats, cozies, even sunscreen and bug spray! We were all able to pack light due to the washer and dryer. The location is what really put this house over the top for us. We typically stay in the Bravos de Boston neighborhood when we go to Vieques. Casa Rubina's location cut driving time in half easily! We were so happy with our stay and we will be staying here again! Tina and Family

Our second stay

My wife and I stayed in this home in January 2019 and returned in August 2019. The home was perfect both times. We love sitting out by the pool each afternoon after a day at the beach. Hannah was the most helpful and communicative property manager that we've dealt with in any of our rentals on any platform. We were in the home as Hurricane Dorian passed over the island and she (and helpers) came over to help secure the property before the storm and to get everything back out and set up shortly after the storm. A really excellent experience all-around.

Casa Rubina is located in a more rural setting but still within minutes to many beaches and Esperanza. The house is absolutely gorgeous and contained everything our family of four needed for our week in paradise.

Wonderful Time!

Our stay in Casa Rubina was wonderful. Having previously rented its sister rental, Quinta Jacaranda we had no doubts that our stay here would be exceptional. The property is clean and well maintained which was a concern for us post storms. Be sure to have your morning coffee poolside, the sunrise is beautiful. We had need to contact management regarding a potentially faulty propane canister and it was replaced nearly instantly. Thanks to Julie D. and staff for making our stay so perfect. Highly recommend the property.

A Gracious Home with Fabulous View

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed Casa Rubina. Spectacular setting, graciously appointed and extremely comfortable, it was a dream house for us. As veteran home owners on Vieques who have recently become renters, we applaud the owners for a terrific job on making the house welcoming and luxurious. And the house manager was super helpful and responsive. Cable TV worked fine and Internet was stable if not super fast (which is a limitation of the island.) Def recommend!!!
