Spring Break

Exceeded our expectations. Spacious & well equipment kitchen. There were 5 adults & two children. When they say no early check-ins they mean it - door on locked timer. And they only provide starter kits for kitchen, bath & laundry. Location & grounds great along with the amenities. Love the pickleball facility.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had such a great experience at Windsor Place II. The kitchen was well supplied with everything we needed. There was plenty of comfortable seating in the living room and on the porch. Our only complaints/issues were one of the dining chairs was coming apart at the joints, only suitable for holding a child's weight. The "mushroom" fountain in the pool was not functional, and the jets in the hot tub were not working properly either. The sink in the twin bedroom behind the dining room had a sink that drained slowly. All very fixable maintenance issues and didn't really detract from our experience. The property is beautiful everywhere you look. We cant wait to come back!

We were a little disappointed, however, in a couple of situations during the week.Our microwave lost power on a couple different occasions, and a construction crew was working on exterior of building and had blocked main beach exit from garage, which made it next to impossible for two of our guests to make it to the pool, they are elderly and slightly disabled.

Lovely condo on HHI

Condo is comfortable and set up well for a group. It has a wonderful area to enjoy breakfast or meals on the balcony. We were a little disappointed that one of the rooms leading to the balcony was set up with twins. It would have been nice to have bedrooms for adults leading to balcony. Also, I was disappointed in the fees for additional parking passes. We stay in HHI annually and other companies provide two complimentary parking passes for a condo this size. Overall, great place to stay in a great location.

wouldn’t stay at this condo again

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: we’ve stayed at windsor ii twice before, this unit was by far the worst. drawers were falling apart off of dressers, mirrored sliding closet doors were falling over to where you couldn’t even touch it, party decorations were left hanging from previous occupants, door handle was falling off of refrigerator, one of the showers didn’t drain, one of the toilets barely flushed, ice machine wasn’t working, and there wasn’t enough hot water for more than three showers. it’s a 4-bathroom condo for eight people, the hot water should last longer than that. called the front desk about the ice machine and the water heater, to our knowledge no one ever came to fix them. the issues didn’t improve, so I’m guessing they didn’t. also, the trash in the building was so full you couldn’t put anything in the garbage chute. it made the garage reek of garbage. it’s a good location and the grounds are beautiful, but otherwise our experience this time was very poor.

Dear Tim, We are sorry to hear that you found your stay lacking. We have checked the records and didn't find any reports of the drawers or the closet door to be addressed by our maintenance team, but are happy to report that the 1 broken drawer face has been repaired and the closet door is back on its track. We do show that we came to the condo to put the arm on the ice maker into the on position for you and take a look at the hot water heater. The heater was emptied, meaning that the available hot water had been used and it does take some time to replenish an 80 gallon tank. Unfortunately, there is not much that we can do in that regard. The trash issue was reported to the building manager. We are sorry that these issues impacted your stay with us and we hope that we can make it up to you on your next visit. -Palmetto Dunes Oceanfront Resort

Extended Family Getaway in Palmetto Dunes

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our second time in the Palmetto Dunes resort and second time staying in Windsor II. It was our first time staying in this unit and we would hands down stay in the 2118 villa again. There were six adults and it was roomy and gorgeous and had everything that we needed. We stayed in a three bedroom last year and decided that we wanted a bit more space this year - no complaints on that unit either. We loved the beach access, the General Store on property, the fact that our bike rentals were delivered to us/picked up and the restaurants. The 2118 villa is beautifully appointed and well stocked with linens and the kitchen had everything. We brought stuff that we didn't end up using. It was quiet and yet close to the main road and easy to drive to other places. Loved that it's an end unit - the extra light coming in made a difference, we thought. We also loved the connect deck and sitting out there during any part of the day to watch the ocean and wildlife. We would definitely recommend this particular unit. Additionally, we were with extended family members and so rented three villas in total (2417 and 2516 as well) and all agreed that we loved where we stayed and would return to these exact rentals when we next plan to come to Hilton Head -- thinking to make this an annual vacation. Thanks for sending the survey. Sad day today as first day back to the real world (I mean back to work). :o)

HHI for over a decade

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our family of 6 plus grandparent have been staying at PD since 2010. For the 6 of those in the same condo. We love the proximity to the beach and the large and smaller pool access. Parking is smooth and convenience to the Kroger and Publix are nice for shopping. The staff at the tennis have always been less than friendly to tourist- especially younger children (who play regularly) Unfortunately the maintenance to the condo as well as general aesthetic updates are really lacking from 2017 on... and in 2021, the staff was minimal and less than polite and the mosquitoes, due to standing puddles of water around Windsor II, made our stay much less pleasant. We will be looking for another facility in the coming years which is sad as we have previously really enjoyed it.
