We really enjoyed our 2-night summer stay in this very nice historic property on top of Nob Hill overlooking Philipsburg. The restoration/renovation is still a work in progress, with a bit of work still needed inside and out, more as a facelift than for functionality. But, overall, the house is really well equipped, very clean, safe, comfortable and homey. And for history buffs, you feel like you've stepped back in time to the 1890s, which a lot of what this revitalized community is all about. The place is also a quick walk to business district, as advertised, but is also very quiet at night (the unpaved roads are just fine but people do get around in pickups and OHVs). It may be a wee bit pricey but it is definitely worth it as a comfortable base for a couple or small family to explore this really scenic part of Montana. We look forward to renting it again. And we applaud the owners for restoring a historic building and preserving Montana's cultural heritage.
