***Please note, this is an older home that has had some updates, but it is not fully renovated and the home has a simple, lived-in charm, it’s best suited for guests comfortable with a more modest space.
The bathroom is dated but fully functional. With only one bathroom and a smaller layout.
You may notice a few quirks typical of older homes, adding to its character. The property is located in a neighborhood with street parking available, and to get into house you have to go up steps. There is also a basement with a washer and dryer, accessible by stairs. Everything was great. I think next year we might add an extra day to see the sights and parks. The home has a cozy cottage feel to it. Go for it.

Great host and good location

We came is as family to ski at Winterplace. The route to resort took about 25 minutes in the morning. The house was very clean, in a quiet neigborhood. The host was very responsive. Bowling lanes that were 5 minutes away from the house allowed us some evening family fun. Overall we had no complaints and had great time. This definitely beats hotels for us. Thanks for hosting!

Owner was very communicative. There were a few issues when we arrived because of the former renter. Philip dealt with the issues immediately. The older home is well maintained in an established neighborhood. Extremely clean. Home is well located to explore the northern, central and southern entrances to New River Gorge National Park. We enjoyed having wine on the outside patio. Washer and dryer in the basement was a big plus. Enjoyable experience. William and Jan, Iowa

All we needed

This place was all we needed for our week long trip. It’s an older home with good neighbors around. The AC was not working while we were there but Philip had 2 window units in place to keep us comfortable though we had good weather while we were there and it wasn’t much of an inconvenience at all. He is an excellent host and was quick to respond with a couple things. Overall, for us really just to need a place to rest our heads at night, this was a good place to stay

Great location, quiet neighborhood, and great and responsive hosts.Lovely home, good size rooms, and a big kitchen. The sunroom was amazing, as well as the deck. Not far from shops and great coffee. Perfect bnb for a group.Hosts were wonderful. Would def book again.
