About Q54 Management
We love living in the unique small town of Palmer Alaska! We have called Palmer home since moving to Alaska in the 1980's. Our first home was near the Matanuska Glacier. Now we currently reside closer to the townsite of Palmer.
Q54 Management purchased this House in 2011
Why Q54 Management chose Palmer
Our love of Palmer and its history led us to purchase our historic colony house. This little gem needed some tender loving care to restore her to her former glory and to continue telling her story. The Campbell House is located on the Springer system of roads ~ a most sought after location. Its a beautiful setting surrounded by farms that grow world famous Alaskan produce. Enjoy the glorious views of Pioneer Peak - our beloved Palmer mountain. It was a little house that needed a lot of love. Just the right house for us - love Palmer, love its history, love the location - win, win, win! :)
What makes this House unique
The Campbell House has been accepted to the National Historic Register! So exciting to have restored and preserved ~ and to share the history of the 1935 Palmer Colony project! *Recipient of the Historic Preservation Award 2013

review of Campbell House
Our stay at Campbell house was just what we needed! We wanted to be near hiking and Anchorage and have easy access to Denali State Park - all of which were true for us. Samantha was generous and gracious both before and during our stay. We would stay here again!
Beautiful home in perfect location!
This home has been impeccably restored with all of the modern conveniences. It is very clean, is in a great location, and is beautiful, yet simple, with every detail thought out. The host responds very quickly and is very welcoming.
Great little restoration house
We enjoyed our 7 nights at the Campbell house. Especially enjoyed the small garden with the strawberries, as well as the Cottonwood tree out front making it look like it had snowed.
We managed to do okay in the record-smashing heat wave of July 2019. It was certainly hot upstairs in the bedrooms, but what can you do when it is still 80 degrees at midnight, and up to 90 during the day. We appreciated that all the windows did have screens available, so that we could open them up.
Our stay at the Palmer house
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Campbell House. Very cozy yet spacious, clean, well appointed, I could live there. We will be back.
We’re so glad you enjoyed your stay. You were wonderful guests, come back anytime!
The Campbell House is a newly renovated 1935 Colony House located in the heartland of Palmer, in the shadows of magnificent Pioneer Peak and surrounding farmlands.
Palmer is a historic town which grew rapidly when the New Deal Act of 1935 was put into action by President Roosevelt. Colonists from Michigan, Minnesota and Wisconsin were selected to move to Alaska to develop the land thru farming and related industry.
The Colonists lived in a Tent City until the lottery drawing took place which determined their home sites.
George and Onabel Campbell from Mio, Michigan drew Quarter 54 in the lottery drawing and were assigned the property that the Campbell House is on. Also still standing is the original chicken brooder.
Palmer town square has many historic buildings and monuments teaching about this time in United States history.
