About Q54 Management
We love living in the unique small town of Palmer Alaska! We have called Palmer home since moving to Alaska in the 1980's. Our first home was near the Matanuska Glacier. Now we currently reside closer to the townsite of Palmer.
Q54 Management purchased this House in 2011
Why Q54 Management chose Butte
Our love of Palmer and its history led us to purchase our historic colony house. This little gem needed some tender loving care to restore her to her former glory and to continue telling her story. The Campbell House is located on the Springer system of roads ~ a most sought after location. Its a beautiful setting surrounded by farms that grow world famous Alaskan produce. Enjoy the glorious views of Pioneer Peak - our beloved Palmer mountain. It was a little house that needed a lot of love. Just the right house for us - love Palmer, love its history, love the location - win, win, win! :)
What makes this House unique
The Campbell House has been accepted to the National Historic Register! So exciting to have restored and preserved ~ and to share the history of the 1935 Palmer Colony project! *Recipient of the Historic Preservation Award 2013

Perfect home for a perfect State Fair Experience!
We stayed here for 2 nights during the wildly-popular Alaska State Fair week-- if anyone hasn't gone or gets an opportunity to, I highly recommend the fair AND I highly recommend staying at this lovely historic house that is just a (decent) walk to the fair! Quiet neighborhood, great stay. There is a bit of traffic though during fair week, but I would imagine it is not an issue at times other than the last 2 weeks of every August. Thanks for hosting.
The Alaska State Fair is very unique and well attended by folks from around the world! I'm glad that you had a great time there as well! You are right - traffic at fair time increases due to the folks from Anchorage being routed down S Inner Springer. The rest of the year is quite quiet in comparison :)
I'm happy to hear the Campbell House was a sweet retreat for your stay in Alaska. Make a plan to visit again!
Clean and comfortable
The location is great, and we found everything we needed available in the house. Because it is a historic home, I would not recommend it for small children. We were thankful for the washer and dryer!
Isn't is wonderful to be able to launder clothing before packing it up for the trip home! :)
Especially if you took advantage of all the great hiking opportunities!
So glad you enjoyed your stay at our historic home!
beautiful. clean. comfortable.
We absolutely loved this house. We enjoyed the beautiful decorations, the fresh strawberries from the garden, the wooden swing, and the comfortable couches and beds. I could live in this house!
Yea! It's so fun to hear you loved everything we love about the Campbell House! Comfy & cozy, straberries & swing - perfectly perfect! Come back and visit soon!
Family Wedding Stay
We recently visited Palmer for my niece's wedding and stayed at the Campbell House. What a wonderful home away from home! The Campbell House is rich with history and yet has all the modern conveniences one could ask for. Our stay was very comfortable! We were close to other family and having a home was so much better than a hotel room!! It was great to be able to have my daughter and aunt stay with us. It was fun to visit with other family who had traveled - have meals and share our adventures together in the cozy living room. There are many amenities such as washer/dryer, dishwasher, microwave, etc. and the place is very clean which is important to me. Alaska is beautiful and the Campbell House is a wonderful place to stay. I would highly recommend it!
Yea for a comfy landing spot to celebrate your nieces wedding! The Campbell House is a great space for families to relax and catch up with eachother.
It was the perfect time of the year to come for a wedding and enjoy all that Alaska has to offer too!
Come back and visit soon!
Great house...great location for trails
Was great to stay in this cozy house, great to see the history of the location.
The upstairs queen bed was super comfortable, and it was nice to come home after a day of hiking. Has everything you need and is a great location.
Thank you for choosing the Campbell House for your weekend adventure! We have so many beautiful hiking areas with in a short distance. We welcome you back as there are always more trails to discover!
We had a wonderful time staying at the Palmer House!!! The house was so perfect, we ended up staying in and hanging out more than we planned. We would stay here again in an instant!
It makes our day when the Campbell House becomes a special part of vacations in Alaska! Our goal for the Campbell House is to be a home away from home experience - with perks ;)
So very happy that you enjoyed staying in! We hope to see you again! :)
The Campbell House is a newly renovated 1935 Colony House located in the heartland of Palmer, in the shadows of magnificent Pioneer Peak and surrounding farmlands. Palmer is a historic town which grew rapidly when the New Deal Act of 1935 was put into action by President Roosevelt. Colonists from Michigan, Minnesota and Wisconsin were selected to move to Alaska to develop the land thru farming and related industry. The Colonists lived in a Tent City until the lottery drawing took place which determined their home sites. George and Onabel Campbell from Mio, Michigan drew Quarter 54 in the lottery drawing and were assigned the property that the Campbell House is on. Also still standing is the original chicken brooder. Palmer town square has many historic buildings and monuments teaching about this time in United States history.
