My wife and I celebrated our 14 year anniversary, it was a great time and a great place to stay!
Thank you! Y’all were wonderful guests!!!!!
Just gets better!
This is our second stay at the cabin. It’s quickly becoming the only place I want to spend time off of work. The hosts are great, the cabin and storage room have EVERYTHING you need. They seemed to increase the supplies from last year! It’s incredibly clean and well-maintained. It’s in a very beautiful setting. We canoed, fished, roasted Marshmallows, rode bikes, grilled and relaxed. We will be back and I rave about this place to anyone who will listen.
Picturesque cabin for a memorable weekend away
We had the most wonderful stay at the Cabin at Wildflower. The online listing describes it perfectly and very accurately. We were so impressed and hope to return again soon. We highly recommend this rental!
This cabin was amazing! We enjoyed our time there so much! Can’t wait to return.
The owners are great! Renting was a breeze from them!
Memorial Day Weekend 2020
This rental property far exceeded our expectations! We could tell from the pictures that it was really nice but wow were we surprised at how nice until we arrived! The owners are overly kind and generous with their home and amenities! The cabin and grounds are very clean and organized and offer so much for your stay on the river! We could not get to everything offered! I could actually relax because I felt like the owners did not place so many "restrictions" on everything! Thank you for opening your lovely property for those of us who enjoy renting vacation homes. The size of the cabin was perfect for 4 of us with our two pets. We also enjoyed having family come for day visits. I can't say enough about this amazing cabin! We certainly hope to return one day in the future!
Heber Springs, founded as a health resort and first called Sugar Loaf in the mid-19th century, now serves as a gateway to Greers Ferry Lake and the Little Red River. U.S. Corps of Engineers completed the 31,500-acre lake in 1963 and President John F. Kennedy came to Heber Springs in October of that year for the dedication. The historic downtown district includes a stately county courthouse with traditional square, a museum, antique shops, Art galleries, restored theater now called the Gem theater which shows new release movies and Spring Park, with its mineral springs that attracted the original settlers. Greers Ferry Lake is known for great fishing and water recreation. Below the massive Corps of Engineers Dam, the Little Red River is internationally known as the home of the world-record (40-pound, 4-ounce) brown trout. The lake and river have served as national models for environmental cleanliness and a staple for Arkansas beauty. Visit our local shops, Climb Sugar Loaf Mountain, try our parks and trails and our quaint coffee shops and restaurants. Just minutes from The Cabin at Wildflower, downtown Heber Springs has lots to offer.
More about Lake life.....Heber Springs is famous for being an epicenter for the Greers Ferry Lake in the beautiful Qzark Mountains of north-central Arkansas. Greers Ferry Lake is known for it's deep, clean and relaxing waters. Various types of boats and watercraft can be rented from multiple marinas. Enjoy the sun and volleyball at Sandy Beach and end your day by watching the sail boats float past the beautiful sunset. There are multiple picnic areas around the lake that are water front and provide gorgeous views. Greers Ferry Lake is an outdoor enthusiasts' dream with boating, sailing, water skiing, swimming, scuba diving and fishing opportunities. Hikers enjoy the area's three National Nature trails and one multi-purpose fitness trail. With over 30,000 acres of water surface, the lake is your playground.
If you need to take a break from the lake and river you can enjoy the numerous art galleries that Heber Springs has to offer. Try a Art class at Ellen Hobgood Gallery for a wonderful souvenir and browse our other local shops for canvas art, handmade jewelry, housewares, pottery, etc. Our local shops also provide designer clothing, handbags, childrens clothing and toys, candy and treats. End your evening at our local vintage style theater (Gem Movie Theatre)*** free popcorn and drink on Tuesday. This theater may look vintage but provides awesome seats and 3-D HD movies.
On your way back to the cabin for a good nights rest think about planning the next days excursions. You still have rock climbing, mountain biking, hiking or disc golf and regular golf available. Sugar Loaf Mountain provides both hiking and small rock climbing experiences. For more hiking, try Mossy Bluff Buckeye Trail, Bridal Veil Falls and Hidden Pond Trail. One of our favorites is Collins Creek. Located at the John F. Kennedy Park near the Greers Ferry Fish Hatchery. Don't forget your camera. Its a beautiful place for pictures.

On Saturdays from Memorial Day to Labor Day an assortment of free programs is offered at the Visitor Center. Most programs are in the evening at 7:00 pm and range from folk concerts to Native American Dancers.
There is always something fun to do in Heber Springs, AR especially during the Spring and Summer months. A few of our favorites is Spring fest, July 4th fireworks celebration at Sandy beach and the World Championship Cardboard Boat Races.
