This vrob is beautiful! We were all in awe of the property. It had more than enough room for all 12 of us. The kids,as well as the adults, loved the pool, waterfall and the hot tub. The vegetation was georgious and the view of the ocean was so peaceful! 5 stars all the way!

Mahalo for the 5‑star review and for staying at Hale Nene. So glad the home wowed your group and provided plenty of room for all 12. Happy the kids and adults loved the pool, waterfall, and hot tub, and that the lush vegetation and peaceful ocean view added to your stay. We look forward to welcoming you back. Because of hurricane Lowell we had to quickly regroup and find a new place to stay 2 days before our group was arriving in Hawaii. I can’t believe how lucky we got to have found this fabulous house— the photos don’t do it justice. There was ample space for our group of 9 adults and 3 children. The house is beautifully appointed. The kitchen has everything we needwd plus an extra fridge is the garage for beverages! There are pool and beach toys to enjoy in the lovely pool with a fabulous view of the ocean. However the highest rating goes to the property management— so responsive and quick to answer any questions. I highly recommend this property!!!

We had a wonderful time at this home. It allowed us the time to connect as a family in the lovely pool while enjoying the sunset. This house is perfectly situated to enjoy the sunset and there are so many wonderful amenities. It's also so close to Kona. Allowing us to enjoy the beaches and lovely restaurants of the town. I would stay here again. The only things that didn't match the listing was that there wasn't actually a second set of laundry. There was only one in the home and an additional dryer (no washer) in the garage. The wifi also didn't work in all areas of the home and all of our phones were spotty so we couldn't use our hotspots. My husband and I had to work a little bit each day so we had to get up early to work in the main living room where the wifi worked so we could be done by the time everyone woke up. However, those are minor issues and just something to consider for those who care about those things. We loved our stay and would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Mahalo for the 5‑star review and for staying at Hale Nene. Glad the pool, sunsets, and convenient proximity to Kona helped make your family time special. Aloha — and thanks — for letting us know about the laundry setup and the Wi‑Fi. I apologize the second washer wasn’t available and that Wi‑Fi coverage was spotty in parts of the house; I’ve passed your notes to our operations team so we can clarify the listing and have a technician evaluate and improve connectivity and laundry options. We appreciate the helpful feedback and would love to welcome you back. Mahalo, Grand Welcome Hawaii

Beautiful Property!

Stunning home, well-appointed, great view! The only problem we had was figuring on how to turn the hot tub on since the controls were in a weird place.

Amazing property

I really loved my stay at this property. The house is super spacious, making it perfect for a family reunion. Every bedroom has its own bathroom, which was ideal for everyone. Our favorite is the beautiful and perfectly situated pool overlooking the ocean. The kitchen is well-stocked with cooking supplies. I would definitely rent here again!

Kona 2024 Family Extravaganza!

A Family trip to Kona planned a year ago went beautifully! 10 of us flew from California and ended up at this amazing home! We were all so pleased, especially the kiddos as they were in the pool from 8am to 8pm with so many pool toys to keep them occupied!! All the rooms were perfect, the kitchen was made for a large group and was equipped with all you needed. But the best was the doors to the back with the view and pool. We all enjoyed ourselves immensely! Thank you, Kona and to this beautiful home that made our yearly family trip a grand treat!

Grand Welcome Disaster

I booked this property months in advance only to have Grand Welcome tell me the property was unavailable for two days at the end of our booking. I had previously called to confirm dates and my family booked travel from 3 different countries to get to Hawaii. When I was told the property was unavailable, Grand Welcome recommended changing our travel plans. I could never get ahold of anyone when I called, or get reliable answers. I would steer clear of this property as long as it is managed by Grand Welcome. You can see the other bad reviews online, which I wish I would have read before booking.

10/10 - our family LOVED this property. The pictures really don't do it justice. It comfortably fit 5 adult couples and two babies. The master bedroom is on one side of the house and the other four bedrooms are in a long hallway on the other side of the house. Each bedroom has an attached bathroom. A few of the mattresses were not the most comfortable, but we made do. Since we were all family, we used the master bathroom to bath the littles since we only had showers/smaller bathrooms. The view from the property is amazing - the sunsets are perfect! The pool was great and serviced once while we were there. There were lots of chairs and a wagon for the beach. Plenty of pans/kitchenware to cook at home. The community is gated and they do ask for ID for everyone above 18 so don’t try to fit more than you can in the house (you wouldn’t want to either!). The AC is a little finicky and you must have the windows and doors closed for it to work so you can’t enjoy the large door between the living room and pool area but that was ok - the AC was preferred. Again, we loved this property and the location south of Kona. We would definitely stay here again!

Nice enough house BUT :Internet was almost non existent ..:( Always seeing “poor connection” on my phone ..Complicated TV system linked into internet. No guard rails on steps into swimming pool - very hard for adults with bad knees to get in and out .. big safety issue !! ??? Spa did not work ..only cold water …neighborhood quiet time issues I wish I had known about when signing up for house with 4 kids 8 y o and under .. did not pay much attention to rules - left the patient neighbor a thank you note for his understanding..was told a neighbor had PTSD which I later found out was not true ..no paper products in kitchen : napkins nonexistent ..bathroom TP was very poor quality ..we were told only one towel set and one set of bed sheets could be left for laundry ??!!! Also told to throw away any leftover food items - no way !! Beer, wine, milk, condiments, ice cream , meat etc .. would not throw them away !!! Hopefully the cleaning crew received them ! Not satisfied with house for the money paid .. have a history with VRBO and have never had so many ridiculous rules ! Have already signed up for a house on Kauai for next year .. thank you …
