Come experience Cove Creek Cabin and Preserve, a 30-acre mountain paradise just 15 minutes from the resort town of Lake Lure and 25 minutes from spectacular Chimney Rock State Park. Explore 2 miles of well-marked trails that traverse beautiful forested hills and a half mile of gently-flowing Cove Creek. Spend a hot afternoon relaxing and picnicking on a sunny sand bar after a swim in the creek’s cool, clear waters. The cozy cabin sleeps 4. The cabin is newly remodeled with a full kitchen, two large bedrooms, 1 bathroom, living room, and full laundry. The front of the cabin has a large deck where you can watch the sunrise, experience the resident deer and bird life, and enjoy a campfire on cool evenings. The hilltop cabin is surrounded by silent, pristine forests that slope down to beautiful Cove Creek. The trails lead throughout the preserve, sometimes on wide, grassy lanes and sometimes narrow paths that follow the creek for more than 3000 feet. The creek is wide and shallow with a sandy bottom that is perfect for wading, swimming, and fishing.
You will be staying just 15 minutes from the resort town of Lake Lure and 25 minutes from Chimney Rock State Park. Although you are surrounded by dense forest with no roads or noise to disturb your solitude, you are within minutes of numerous restaurants, a grocery store, and the beach at Lake Lure.
