This condo is a beautiful newly renovated condo that has gorgeous gulf views. It is a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom. New King bed and also new couch in living room. The swimming pool is beach-side, and is heated during the cooler months. The tennis court is beside the parking lot. You are just steps away from the Famous Sugar White Sand Beaches and Emerald Green Waters of the Gulf Coast. This is truly a super vacation paradise spot. The Emerald Isle complex was fully renovated in 2016, at a cost of over four million dollars. Enjoy local restaurants and the shopping convenience of Ft. Walton Beach but all the tourist amenities of close-by Destin (six miles). No smoking in the unit or on the balconies. No pets allowed (the owner has severe allergies). Renters must be over 25 years old.

I think the property was in a very good location and the beach and pool were very nice. During our stay there was construction going on and wasn't informed that it may be noisy even on weekends. I understand construction as we have a company ourselves but when we asked the owner to contact us and maybe compensate us with something as we stayed 11 days I was never contacted. I run a business and always cater to my clients. As I say the property was in a great location.

We had no notice. The owner had to have known. Connor was rude, everyone else was nice. Location and condo cleanliness was good.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Four of us stayed for four nights and had a wonderful experience. We initially had an issue with the a/c in the unit. When we called the office, they immediately sent a repairman out and it was fixed later that day. I appreciate their quick response, especially with it being a holiday weekend. The pictures online are a little dated, so we were pleasantly surprised with some items in the unit that had been updated. Overall we had a wonderful experience and would stay there again.

Emerald Isle good / unit issues

The unit has so many items that need repaired. The AC does does not properly cool the unit. The unit has not been properly maintained. The kitchen items are old and items broken. Kitchen is very under stocked with most common items. We do not recommend this unit.

Taken back to 1977

The unit was super clean but took me back to 1977 with the carpet, furniture and bed spreads We had other family stay in same complex and there’s was updated and really nice.

I don't recommend!

We booked this property for a few reasons, it was super close to the beach, it had recently been "upgraded ", and the price was pretty good. Upon arrival me learned not much had been upgraded its actually an older property. We tried to disregard and have a great week. My allergies began to bother me and before I know it I was having trouble breathing. I called the office and asked if any animals were in the unit and she specifically said "no we do a thorough check of the property " and no animals are allowed. Next day I'm still struggling and husband begins to investigate the property...well dog hair was found along with bunches of other peoples hair from previous tenants. We contacted the office they said they couldn't do anything to contact the owner. Well we still haven't heard back and we also had to leave early because of my breathing. I'm very disappointed.

It was sufficient

The apartment location to the beach and space within the unit was as described and plenty of space for a family of 4. In most rentals that we’ve had in the past there are bare essentials like trash bags, toilet paper, napkins and general cooking essentials like oil, salt, pepper and spices. It’s usually known that you juts replace what you run out of for the next tenant. This unit didn’t have toilet paper, napkins or trash bags. Additionally it only had salt and pepper. We bought and left more spices, oil, paper towels and toilet paper. Also we’re used to having general beach items to support the stay and to make it less costly in rentals etc. This unit had the bare minimum and nothing extra. On the upside the beds were wonderful and very comfortable, check in and out was easy and the overall booking process was great!

The Emerald

We have stayed at Emerald Isle many times over the last 45 years. Mostly it has been well kept up. We have had extended family stay at the same time (family reunions) all in the Emerald Isle. It is a good time for all.

Clean, relaxing, and so quiet!

Very clean. spacious, and so quiet it was like no one else was around! Beach and pool were just steps away. Check-in/check-out were a breeze with the lockbox. We noticed minor plumbing issues (slow drain and a tricky faucet) but didn't report them until the end of our stay. We would definitely stay here again! Thanks for a lovely home for our vacation.

Great price, great location

Really enjoyed the place, very clean, great space and price, pool was very clean, every one was so friendly! We all Loved Okaloosa, it’s was a great place to vacation with the family. it was very beautiful, had a good view off the balcony. Would love to go again, would definitely book the same place again!

Had some nice features. Beautiful bedroom furniture & quilt in the Master. Nice newish kitchen cabinets & nice white tile floors. We had a few maintenance issues & the management company sent someone over ASAP. All were taken care of. However the owner of said unit needs to replace the loveseat. Also all three TV’s were old style & outdated. But they did work. We had two days of rain due to tropical storm Gordon. Always go to Back Porch for a meal & Shrimp Basket nice too. Management also helped us out of a jam! Much appreciated. I would recommend this property. However owner has a few things they need to upgrade!

We had to ask for toilet paper and trash bags which included a trip to the realtor office. And a second trip to drop off keys from prior guest.

This unit has had an update kitchen, a new couch, a new king bed, and i am not sure what else it needed. What are the things you needed i would have supplied you with it. Other then that, we never had a problem with the condo, and toilet paper and garbage bag are something that housekeeping forgot to put in there, and we are sorry for your inconvenience. But, it is a great unit with an awesome view of the gulf. We advertise 3:00 check-in and every time we let someone check in while cleaners are still working in condo(11:30 a.m.) there's bound to be conflict.

Reviewer Comments: Spent an enjoyable winter escape in the beautiful Florida Panhandle.Unfortunately this Condo needs updating and replacement of furniture and a total rehab is needed. It does have a beautiful view of the Gulf. Chris our Rental Agent was very accommodating and Rick too helpful.Would only recommend this Unit if it is updated.We spent most of our time in the Destin and Miramar Beach area.

Thanks for your review of the condo, and i just would like to let you know that the owner has been notified about the couch and he is getting a brand new one any day, we are just waiting for what day it will arrive. The kitchen has been updated, and there are only a few things that has to be done, and they will be taking care of that. The condo location is awesome and the view is beautiful from there, and i hope when those things are done it should be a great stay.
