Nestled along the serene shores of the Chesapeake Bay on Virginia's Eastern Shore, this spacious two-story, three-bedroom cottage in Silver Beach, Virginia, promises a tranquil and picturesque retreat for families. This cottage is the perfect place to enjoy fishing, crabbing, boating, sunbathing, and, most importantly, relaxing.

This charming rural cottage features a full kitchen equipped with everything you need to prepare delicious meals, a dining room perfect for family gatherings, a comfortable living room to unwind after a day of outdoor activities, three cozy bedrooms, two well-appointed bathrooms, and an outside shower.

Situated roughly 75 yards from a private community beach and 100 yards from the community pier, guests have easy access to fishing, crabbing, and sunbathing on the pier, along with swimming and sunbathing in the refreshing waters of the Chesapeake Bay.


Professional Sanitation: This home is cleaned and sanitized by a professional team before every arrival, along with the use of HEPA purifiers to remove airborne dust and dander.

Pet Policy: While pets are not permitted for guest rentals, pets have been in the home on occasion. Guests with severe pet allergies should take this into account when booking.

Very clean. Beautiful view of the bay. Community beach is right out the front door. Very laid back atmosphere. Family friendly area. A bit of a drive off the main road but worth it for the bay front setting.

Only issue we had was lack of hot water due to hot water heater failure. However the host made every effort to rectify. Even as far as to offer another property for our stay. We just stayed & glamped for our weekend. Communication was excellent! It’s a very cute cottage with a nice view of the bay.

We would have been able to make better use of the outdoor space if it were enclosed. The neighbors were so kind to give us citronella candles. They said the flies were the worst they'd ever seen in years. Just a thought.

Place is literally on the bay, like footsteps out the front door. It was exactly what I needed to unplug and unwind from the chaos of work. Area in general is remote with a food lion about 15 minutes away. When coming back, I would stay longer and plan to go to the store and cook for the week, as there aren't too many restaurants in the near vicinity. Fishing was spotty off the pier, again like footsteps from the front door, no shortage of crab. You can't catch enough of them as they are plentiful and aggressive. It really was relaxing and beautiful, especially the colors in the sunset. The sound of the ocean breaking on the beach was tranquil!Gail was a wonderful host. She was sharing information and options for outings from the initial reservation. Cute setup with everything you need to enjoy your trip. Probably one of the best hosts I've rented from. Thanks Gail, I'll be back!

Beautiful cottage by the water; Has water right outside of the door step (its not the first property on the water, but given its on the corner, it has unobstructed view to water and you can walk 20 yards to get to water). Beautiful cozy property- very well kept. Gives you the feeling on an English cottage to an extent. All basic amenities provided (including paid cable, netflix, amazon!). Very calm and quiet neighborhood; Beach is not as big; but if you are coming just husband and wife, nothing like it. You can fish from the boat ramp (it extends fairly deep into ocean)

La maison est magnifique et parfaitement équipée. Nous avons bien profité du quai pour pecher le crabe et y prendre un café. Endroit très tranquille.
