Tucked along a quiet canal in Galveston’s Jamaica Beach, Moby Dick is a relaxed 6-bedroom, 5.5-bath home designed for easygoing group stays. The two-story layout includes open, sunlit living areas, a second-floor hangout space for kids, and plenty of room for everyone to spread out. Outside, enjoy a private pool, boat dock, and a spacious deck perfect for morning coffee or sunset drinks—all just about a mile from the beach.

● Beach Access: Quick 4-minute drive to the Jamaica Beach access point.
● Private Pool: This home features a waterfront in-ground pool with a spacious patio for lounging.
● Community Amenities: Guests have access to the Jamaica Beach community pool for a fee — open Memorial Day - Labor Day — and city park.
● Rent BeachBox: Beach gear rentals are available! Ask us for details and rates.
● WIFI/Cable: We provide free high-speed WIFI and Roku with access to Sling TV for live television channels. Guests are welcome to log into their own streaming service apps.
● Pet Policy: 2 pets are allowed with a $150 fee per pet. Please keep pets off furniture, clean up after them outside, and crate them if left alone indoors.
● Parking: There is room for up to 6 cars in the driveway.
Inside, the main living area is open, bright, and built for connection. The kitchen, dining, and living spaces all flow together under tall ceilings, with big windows that let in plenty of natural light. Whether you`re gathering for dinner, lounging with a board game, or chatting over coffee, there’s room for everyone to settle in without feeling crowded.
Three bedrooms are located on this main floor, including one that’s furnished with both a king and a double bed—ideal for parents traveling with a younger child or a small group who doesn’t mind sharing a room. The other two bedrooms are connected by a Jack-and-Jill bathroom: one has a king bed, and the other is set up with a full-size and a twin-size bunk bed, making it a natural fit for kids or cousins to bunk up together. There’s also a guest half-bath on this floor and a laundry room for mid-trip refreshes.
Upstairs, you’ll find three more bedrooms—each with its own private bathroom—along with a second living area that gives kids or teens a space to hang out separately. Sleeping arrangements upstairs are flexible: two rooms have king beds (one with an additional twin), and the third has another set of full and twin bunk beds.
Outdoors, the home’s canal-front setting is a natural extension of the living space. A shaded pool with a volleyball net sits just beneath the house, while the upper deck spans over the boat slip—perfect for coffee at sunrise or a laid-back happy hour in the evening. A fish cleaning station, outdoor shower, and garage full of beach gear round things out. And when you`re ready for the sand, the beach is just about a mile down the road.
● Cancellation Policy: All cancellations are subject to a 3% credit card processing fee.
● Party Policy: No parties are allowed at our home. Please look elsewhere if that is the intent of your trip.
● Age Requirement: Guests must be 24+ to book.

- Guests must be 24+ to book the property.
- One-night stays must be approved.
- Groups larger than 12 need to be approved. We do not allow parties.
- This house sleeps a max of 16 guests.
- Quiet hours are from 10pm-8am.
- Any damages to the house or property during your stay will result in a deduction or additional charge for the resulting repair/replacement cost.
- All pets must be approved by our team, stay off of all furniture, be cleaned up after in the yard, and not left alone inside the home unless in a kennel.
- No parking allowed on lawns, yards, empty grass lots or other neighbors’ driveways, even if their home appears unoccupied.
- Oversized vehicles/trailers are not permitted unless explicit approval has been received from our team.
- Do not turn the AC below 70 degrees. If you do, you will risk the AC unit freezing up, requiring it to thaw out which will result in the home getting extremely warm.
- The homeowner`s routine pool maintenance cannot be rescheduled and is required for the health and safety of our guests. They will not need to access the home but will access the yard.
- No jumping or diving into the water. Children must be supervised at all times.
- This community only allows BLACK TRASH BAGS. We provide trash bags under the kitchen sink. Please refrain from using white bags.
- Should an eviction occur due to breaking house rules (noise ordinance violations, excessive guests and/or vehicles beyond the agreed amount), there will be an $850 fine.
