Close to shopping, restaurants and bars. Nicely equipped. Very narrow driveway, but seems the norm for Charleston. Quick response to request for more towels. A lot of construction going on in the area so it was kind of loud, but not the fault of the owner.

Some minor issues

The good: great central location, the decor is so cute. The house was clean. The meh: We were not given the front door code. Had to call to get that. Then had some issues with hot water. No hot water in kitchen, inconsistent water temp in the showers.

We had a very enjoyable stay in this lovely VRBO! The decor and furnishings were both beautiful and comfortable! There’s no getting around that this suite was a renovation of an old house, but the owners have updated and equipped it very nicely. When the description reads “narrow driveway,” believe it!! That always got our attention as we “threaded the needle” in our Grand Highlander; but we got used it. Our party consisted of 5 adults and the hot water didn’t always hold out for morning showers; but that was the only real “neg” we encountered. There WAS a lot of construction happening nearby (as divulged in the description), which made for some noisy moments; but it was not overwhelming and did not negatively impact our stay. Before receiving the check-in info, we were not clear as to whether this was an upstairs or downstairs unit (because the description indicated both - possibly a typo??), but just be aware that it is an UPstairs unit with fairly steep stairs, broken up by a landing 2/3 of the way up; and the stairway is quite narrow. Very convenient location and, overall, a great place to stay in Charleston. We would definitely consider staying here again.
