Fantastic Home on Point in Cove with Quiet Water with Huge Private Dock

We spent a week at this property (June 9-16) with three of our gown children and their families. There were 16 persons total, from 11 to 76 years old, including 7 teenagers. There was plenty of space for all of us. The remodeled main floor is beautiful! We have stayed at a lot of rentals, and I must say that this property definitely has the most high-end appliances and is the most well-stocked kitchen we have ever had! We really enjoyed having family meals there every night and having everything we needed for cooking those meals. The kitchen table is massive! The lower-level kitchen is very nice as well.

The dock is the other really special place at this property. It is all tile and is really nice! There are a table and chairs and loungers that are great on one part; a space to fish and dock a boat on the other end. It was really hot the whole week we were there, so the oscillating fan on the dock was wonderful! The cove is so quiet and calm. We enjoyed paddleboarding all day, every day.

We also enjoyed the game room and used it as a "staging" area for the dock. The game tables are not usable, but the room itself is great--it has three overhead fans and lights and a very nice patio table and chairs. We played cards there every night, and really loved it! The kids enjoyed the hot tub; it is very nice.

The location of the cove is great! The property is right across the main channel from Dog Days and the Glaize Arm. There are several other bars/restaurants very close by boat, as well as by land. To get to the strip or to Woods, there is a toll bridge which costs $3 each way, but the property is very well located. It is literally no more than 15 minutes to the main strip of shops and restaurants. We were very pleased about that!

There are a lot of steps, and the deck does need some repair work, but overall it certainly did not detract from the other assets of the property. The parking can be an issue, since it is very steep. We had four cars, so it was a little crowded for us, but we managed just fine.

The owner was very responsive to any question or issue we had. He was great from the very initial contact. Thanks for everything, Tim!

Everything we needed in the kitchen. Lots of room on the dock for fishing and sunning. Lots of different areas to hang out but lots of stairs.

I hosted a bachelor party for a friend of mine with 10 guys. There was plenty of room. The house is basically two different living areas with an incredible three-story deck. The dock was also great to hang out on. We rented a boat across the channel and had a very nice weekend.

The house and location are great. Just across the Chanel from dog days and backwater jacks. I would give 5 stars but I had a little trouble getting ahold of the owners and there was some miscommunication about my reservation. I was able to get it all squared away but only through messaging and it did make things a little stressful. I read that other people had a similar problem with lack of communication but other than that I would recommend this house.

Nice space and beds were very comfortable. Driveway awkward and deck space rundown.
