I stayed in Mike’s beautiful condo with my 16 and 19 year old grandsons and their mother. It was perfect. Being so close to the ocean and hearing the waves was a special treat. Each morning, when the tide was out, my 16 year old and his mother explored the tide pools right outside. We all saw at least one sea turtle. Mike was a terrific host, always responsive to questions and gave us very good recommendations for restaurants, excursions, shopping, etc. We cooked in the well appointed kitchen and enjoyed eating on the lanai.Everything was Great! Mahalo. Mike.
Mike’s condo was great. It was clean and had amazing views from the lanai. We enjoyed the sunsets every day. We never needed the AC since we left the glass doors open to the master bedroom and living room and ocean breeze kept everything cool. I would recommend it to anyone.
Stayed here for 5 nights with our family of four and we loved the unit. Our favorite was the view from the balcony and proximity to local farmers markets. Kids loved playing on the rocks. We stayed here during the Kona storm and lost power for about half a day but really appreciated all the supplies in the unit from flashlights to coolers to the beach chairs. Lovely property and excellent host, very responsive to all our questions!
This was an amazing condo. The views of the ocean were exactly what was shown in the pictures. Location was perfect. Mike was prompt in answering all of my questions. We will definitely stay there again!
View, location, amenities and lanai!!Loved that the previous guests left water and sodas for us. We were only there for 2 nites so it’s all a blur But we felt safe and comfortable,And love love loved the lanai!!And the local area as well.
We had an amazing stay here! The location is great, the view is breathtaking, and anything you could possibly want, they have here. We were absolutely in love with this place. Mike, the host, was also very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. We couldn’t have hoped for a better experience. We will definitely be back one day!
The condo was as described and very well appointed. Plenty of kitchen and bath items. The lanai was gorgeous and the community was relaxed/quiet. Great accessibility and ample parking. AC kept things cool for us but there were plenty of ocean breezes as well.
Great unit in a wonderful location - close to Kailua Kona and fantastic ocean views. Mike is quick to reply to any messages and to accommodate any requests where possible. Will stay here again next time we visit the Big Island
My family of 6 stayed here the 1st week of January. Mike was a terrific host! He has thought of literally everything for his guests. Plenty of cookware, dishes and even spices. Every single thing you'd want to take to the beach he has provided, including snorkeling gear which can be expensive to rent. Loved having a washer and dryer and the 2 sliding doors on the Lanai to listen to the waves all night long. Nothing beats the view and watching the sunset from there every night. Even with 6 of us there we had plenty of room to spread out and didnt feel cramped at all. I highly recommend stayed here and will definitely stay there again.
We are native Oregonians and began vacationing in Hawaii about 30 years ago. We loved the islands so much we came back more and more often. We initially bought a one-bedroom condo in 2006 at Kona Bali Kai, across the street from the beach with no ocean view. We live on the Oregon coast, but rarely go to the beach; so, when we decided to buy a larger condo we wanted to be right on the beach - and you can't get any closer than our condo at Kona Bali Kai. We love sharing Hawaii with our kids, grandkids and many friends.
Why they chose this property
We live on the often rainy Oregon coast and didn't want to come to Hawaii and be in the rain. The dry Kona coast is perfect for our vacations. Kona Bali Kai is perfectly situated along Ali'i Drive. It's close enough to old town Kailua-Kona for a refreshing walk into town, but not close enough to have a lot of unwanted traffic or commercial activity. And, of course, you can't get any closer to the beach than at Kona Bali Kai and where else can you watch surfers and sea life all day long from your lanai?
What makes this property unique
We love our 3rd floor unit overlooking the lava tide pool and barbecue. We love the panoramic view of the ocean and surfers from anywhere in the unit. We love the way the sun sets every night by the palm trees off our lanai and how we can sit on the lanai and watch surfers, whales (in season) and turtles. The master bath and walk-in shower features your choice of an adjustable shower head on the wall or a drenching rain head in the ceiling, dual cabinets and sinks, and an elongated toilet. The guest bathroom was also recently remodeled to have a walk-in shower. We love to play games and spend time at the beach in Hawaii, so the unit is fully equipped with games and beach accessories, including children's play toys.
