This was probably one of the best units we have stayed in at the Shores of Panama. We had plenty of space and the corner view was perfect. The old school Golf game was a hit with the kids and grandparents alike. We always enjoy staying at the Shores due to proximity to shopping and restaurants. It does get a little crowded and the elevators sometimes stop working, but doesn’t impact our review of this unit itself. Highly recommend and will stay again. Only feedback is I wish there was a place to put all the decorative pillows. Not a deal breaker, but have stayed in places before that provide baskets or a “home” for them to ensure they stay clean.

Hi Johnna, Thank you for the review. We are so happy to hear you loved our 903 unit. The Owner really has put some extra love into the unit for their guests. Unfortunately, it is peak season at the beach and like most resorts in PCB overcrowded tends be the only down fall. But who can blame them with the sugar sand and emerald waters. We would love to have you as our guest again anytime of the year. Warm wishes, Nikki with Vacation Life Properties

Sorry to hear about the slow elevators. Summer is a very busy season and this causes congestion. We try to suggest to our guest to use the elevators during the non peak times of the day to help with the congestion. Thanks again for your feedback. We just got back from our stay. The view from the room is absolutely stunning. Everything was clean. Quick responses when we had questions. No problems with elevators. Just a very short walk to the parking lot, and the parking spot is right by the door. We always stay at Shores of Panama.. we love the pool! The zero-entry pool is great for littles! The bar makes amazing drinks and the food at the pool is so good! We would definitely stay here again.

This condo is beautiful and well appointed. I highly recommend it.

903 is very clean and stocked with everything we needed in the kitchen. The pots and pans were like new, which is not always the case with rentals. We rented for Christmas to New Years and had no problems with parking or the elevator. The hot tub and indoor pool were enjoyed. The morning view of the sunrise from the side balcony was beautiful. We thoroughly enjoyed the wrap around balcony.

Thanks for your review on our condo. I am sorry to hear you were unhappy with the Shores of Panama. It is a large building and summer can be a very busy time for vacationers. This unfortunately causes crowds and congestion. This unit is unable to have a table but the bar area in the kitchen offers a great place to eat during your stay. We hope you enjoyed the gorgeous views and spent most you vacation out on the amazing beach front. Thanks again for your feedback.

Great Location but was filthy !

Was a fantastic location !! The condo was Incredibly filthy; I washed all linens before we slept in the beds or used the towels, the floors were disgusting - bought a swifter and Clorox pads - cleaned myself (theirs was broke), washed all dishes and utensils before use as well. Beautiful view but the windows were disgustingly dirty, so was the balcony furniture. Wasn’t going to let the filth ruin my time ! Great location and view, just be prepared to clean !

Experience

Overall stay was very nice. We had a great time and made lots of memories. The condo itself was amazing. Most beautiful view. Very spacious and had quick response from Vacation Life Properties. We did have to wash dishes before using them because there was food stuck on them but they had a great set up if you wanted to cook. Shores of Panama however… staff was not the friendliest at all. Water had to be shut off one morning to fix a water pipe but it wasn’t terrible. It could have been a whole lot worse. Overall we had an amazing time.

When entering the placement of the furniture was weirdly placed. We did move it to make it more spacious. There was no sheets for the pullout matress what so ever so we had to sacrifice blankets. Sand was in the floor and in my email it said excess sand would leave a charge but we had to sweep when entering. Was not the biggest but was nice for the days we were there. Air conditioning felt great, great balcony, beds were big in the rooms besides the bunk room being tiny. Overall somewhere to lay our head. Also they are very strict at this resort!

Good place to stay

Just could make a few minor updates like the the fridge and dishwasher. The fridge had rust all over it and the freezer which was on the bottom was hard to open, had to pull really hard. Dishwasher the bottom drawer was same way and had some rust on outside. The pantry was full of someone else’s food so if we were going to be staying for like a whole week we wouldn’t have had that space to use. I bet there were 10 remotes to work TVs, dvd, cable boxes, none of them were in the right room or labeled correctly as to which tv they were for, not a big problem just had to take all the remotes to a room and see what worked the tv. Overall it was nice and I would stay again!

Cool Breeze, warn days

Our stay at #903 was very enjoyable, wish the weather was a nice as the room. The unit has the look of one that was just rehabbed, everything appeared to be in new condition. Only had one problem, the kitchen sink drain was not connected well but a repair man came by that day and fixed it. The Unit is on the 9th floor, it's parking space is also on the 9th but once you unload your auto, park as close to the 1st floor as possible. The walk is easier than the drive up and down. The kitchen was very well equipped, we cooked a lot of our meals and and never lacked for anything. We stayed during Spring Break, I can say security keeped the kids under control, we did not see any problems during our stay. If you have a car I would recommend a side trip to St. Andrews State Park, it only 3 miles away and the beach is wonderful.

Not for families

Nothing special about the room. Overpriced for what you get. View is amazing though. Rudest staff of any place we’ve ever stayed. Wrist bands required to go anywhere and were supposed to give you access to parking garage and gates. Never worked. Staff member stopped my 12 year old son whose wristband had broken off at the beach. Began yelling that it needs to be on his wrist, and when my son showed it to him he said he couldn’t be sure it belonged to him and wouldn’t let him past until I stepped in. Parking attendant refused to get up and help because wristband wasn’t working. Sat there and stared at us until the car behind us would run up and scan us in. Plan on 10 min elevator waits unless it’s “peak time” where we waited 20-30 minutes each time. Not a quick trip up nine flights of stairs with kids, coolers and bags. Beach and water littered with cans from all of the drinking, loud groups still at the pool after quiet time, fireworks every night around 2-3am. Definitely a party hotel. Would never recommend.

Hi, Emily! We are so sorry to hear that you had issues with the resort staff. Unfortunately we only manage the condo and not the resort, but we do encourage you to reach out to them and let them know of the issues you ran into so that they are aware and can address them. We do make every effort to make our guests aware that elevator wait times can be extensive at this large resort, especially during peak times. We do hope we can book you again soon! Never again

This was my first stay at the Shores and I can say without a doubt my last. The staff at the resort were all incredibly rude and very unfriendly. They took zero time to explain their pool band policy and in fact the lady who was working the “concierge” desk told exactly the opposite of what to do. The room location and ocean views were literally the only good thing about the stay. The floors were so dirty it looked like you took several laps around Walmart barefoot. There was no broom in the room so no way to sweep the sand. We ended up having to mop our own floors after the first night just to keep from wearing shoes in the room. The property owner Kept saying someone was coming to clean and they never showed. The sheets on the beds were dirty and mold was in the secondary master and the curtain in the master bathroom is hanging on by a couple rings. The owner has actually blocked access to the balcony from the master bedroom with a cheap desk and chair…not sure about the selling point on that. The ocean was great is all I have to say good about our stay.

Hi Heather, thank you for providing your review. We certainly understand that you were disappointed in the condition of the condo and we want you to know that we are too. That is not how we do business, nor do we promise someone will be out when they won't. In this instance, the cleaner responsible said she was coming, but then said she couldn't come until the morning. I understand they did come with all new linens, cleaned the floors, and all other cleaning concerns. Those sheets should never have been used and I've addressed this with the cleaners once again that if they see anything on the sheets at all to report it and we will promptly take new ones to them while they are cleaning. All that said, we know that was not what you were expecting or deserved, and for that, we greatly apologize. We are glad you enjoyed the location and view of the condo, which is stunning. With regard to the resort staff, we're afraid that is beyond our control, but we are happy to report they are now under new management. We are hoping that will improve their quality of staff on site. Again, we do apologize for the issues during your stay and take this feedback for improvement very seriously. We hope you'll return to one of our many resorts on the beach to see how we take these opportunities to level up to create a better guest experience. Sincerely, Vacation Life Properties

Room 903 was great, everything else, not so much.

We stayed here during COVID-19 on Memorial Day weekend. The restrictions had just lifted and you could definitely tell! Negatives: There were at least three elevators broken the entire stay. The working elevators were slow with very long lines. People were so desperate that they crammed in disregarding COVID recommendations and often causing them to get stuck between floors. We were told it’s the owners’ problem. One of the reasons we stayed here was because of the huge pool. There were not very many chairs around the pool. It said that you couldn’t save a chair with a towel, but many used towels and shoes to save them. Tons of people made it difficult to ever find a chair. We were told again that it was the owners’ problem. The hot tub was so crowded it was hard to ever get in. The beach was so packed it was difficult to even walk through to get to the water over the weekend. It got easier Monday and Tuesday when people started leaving. Positives: It’s a beautiful room with an amazing balcony. It’s within walking distance to Pineapple Willy’s and about a block away from Walmart. The unit has a closet with beach chairs and floats in it for you to use. We will not stay in this resort again.

Thank you for the feedback Yvonne. We are happy the condo was beautiful and met your expectations. Unfortunately it is not the owner's responsibility for the broken elevators, the crowded pool and beaches, and the lack of respect for resort rules and other people in general. We are so sorry you experienced this at this resort. Vacation Life Properties, LLC manages many other condos and houses and encourage you to check out some of the others when booking your next vacation.
