Cette maison de montagne de cèdre classique magnifiquement conçue offre une vue imprenable à 180 degrés sur les montagnes Blue Ridge. Des routes pavées et une allée circulaire font de cette cabine un moyen très pratique de profiter de Blue Ridge à la hauteur de ses yeux. Des vues à long terme se déversent dans la grande salle, la salle à manger, la cuisine adjacente et le grenier à travers de grandes baies vitrées fixes qui entourent le foyer au bois.


Vous trouverez deux chambres et une salle de bain complète située au niveau principal. Le loft exposé comprend une suite queen supplémentaire et un balcon avec table de jeu, tous deux ouverts sur la grande salle située au-dessous. Une salle de bain complète dans le loft complète l'aménagement qui permet à sept personnes de profiter d'un séjour confortable à Idle Spur.


Idle Spur offre une expérience totale de la cabine de montagne avec des accents de bois naturel partout. Les planchers de bois franc, les meubles en rondins pelés et les murs intérieurs en pin noueux à rainures et languettes s'étendent du sol au plafond. This was a great place to stay, other cabins around but you still felt like you were secluded. Me and my husband thoroughly enjoyed our stay, it was a great break from work. The cabin was very clean and had everything that we needed in it for our stay.

Cabin Weekend

The views portrayed by the online listing did not disappoint. The cabin had a wall full of windows overlooking Grandfather Mountain in the distance. The property was extremely quiet and peaceful and made for a great weekend getaway.

Great weekend getaway

Took a quick weekend drive up from Charlotte with a few friends. Everything was great, we had everything we needed. The view from the back deck was beautiful. Overall, two thumbs up!

Amazing vacay

This cabin was quaint, peaceful and charming. Two bedrooms and a loft and two baths. Tubing, trails and horseback riding in on the property. Amazing views. GPS is a definite no but the staff are helpful and super friendly and will best direct you to the parkway. If you use their directions you are about forty minutes from the parkway. If you are down to hang out, cook in and enjoy the scenery and make a day trip out of the sites close by, this is an amazing place!!

Great for a quick weekend!

We booked this cabin last minute for the Labor Day weekend and overall we were happy with it! Gorgeous area and common areas of the resort were well kept. Our house was clean overall and what we expected. Only callouts are that the small yard and drive were unkempt and need some light work done (weed eater mostly). The dishwasher also does not work (doesn’t seem to have pressure or something to actually clean what’s in it), though it does run. There’s a rusty nail in it too that we think may have been used as a homemade attempt to fix it somehow. We would definitely stay at this resort again but would try to get a different so we didn’t have to spend time washing dishes. The hot tub is also detached from the home which would have been nice to know ahead of the trip. Again, overall the house is very charming and great for smaller groups!

A great weekend for four lifelong friends!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My dear friend's husband recently passed away so I wanted to get her away for a relaxing weekend. We also took our daughters who grew up together and have remained friends for 40 years. Our cabin was perfect! The view was amazing and the girls enjoyed the hot tub. We had our first night's dinner at the little restaurant on the property which was very convenient after a long ride. The staff was so friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We ended our Sunday afternoon with an awesome horseback ride lead by our guide, Lily Weston. Lily is a precious young lady! I hadn't been on a horse in 40 years, but Peggy Sue was a great horse, as were the other three! We will certainly plan another vacation at Leatherwood. Haven't had such fun in a long time!

Christmas/New Year Vacation

We arrived on December 27th and stayed until January 2nd. The house is great; it was clean, cozy, the view was fantastic at any time of the day!!We went hiking on one of the trails. We tried to go horse back riding but they were booked throughout our stay... we took awesome pictures of the horses and stables etc. I would recommend this property for a small family or small group. Customer service at the office was good. The instructions on how to get to the property were accurate. Other than the fact the the washer was not working, every other appliance in the house worked perfectly. Management tried to get a repair man up there to fix it but no one showed up. We understand, it was the last week of December... The distance to "civilization" was kind of long. it was a 45/50 minute drive to Boone and to other attractions. We enjoyed our stay and look forward to going up there soon!

Beautiful views

It was a quaint cabin with excellent views all around. It was decorated really nicely. We enjoyed the fireplace and hot tub (just wish the hot tub was closer to the cabin). It was a wonderful Christmas experience for our family. Would definitely stay at this property again.

Stay at Idle Spur

Great little Cabin! Has everything you need for a nice little getaway to the mountains with great views. Make sure you do your grocery shopping before you get there, it is pretty isolated and long way from any town. Would definitely stay again!
