The Space:
The best of the best! This two-bedroom cabin was built to be a rental home and provides everything to make your mountain vacation memorable. Soaring ceilings in the great room, wood floors, granite in the kitchen, nice finishes, two baths, central Heat/AC, and more --this newer log cabin lives large!
Located just minutes from some of the area's best hiking, this cabin is the perfect base for all your mountain adventures. Walk just 0.7 miles to the trailhead for Hebron Rock Colony which connects to the Boone Fork Trail in the Julian Price Memorial Park. Too cold to hike? Cozy up to a stone gas log fireplace or soak in the hot tub on the lower deck. Make a meal, grill on the propane grill, and dine indoors or out! Whatever you fancy, Dillard Cabin will not disappoint!
This home is perfect for two couples with a queen bedroom and full bath on the main level and a King bedroom and bath on the second floor. The small loft area provides extra room and has a twin bed. The loft with the twin bed is open to the living room. We bring this to your attention as young children would be able to climb from the bed to the railing, which depending on the child, could be a concern.
The basement has a full-sized washer and dryer and some recreation space!
There is a cabin next door with long-term residents.

We were overall pleased with the Dillard Cabin...it's cleanliness and location to both Blowing Rock and Boone. We didn't realize how close it was to another cabin where someone lives full-time so that was a bit of a surprise but other than that, it was a very nice experience.

Thanks Marty. We have updated the listing to let guests know that there is a neighboring home. We are glad you enjoyed your stay!
My family and I were coming to town for Thanksgiving with the in-laws and we really enjoyed our stay. We hung out around the fire place on the cold days and the girls enjoyed the hot tub and air hockey table. The drive up on the park way was really enjoyable and the kids really enjoyed seeing the deer around the cabin! The cabin had everything we needed in a home away from home.
Well maintained and clean cabin. Easy check In and out. Relaxing accomodations. Used the hot tub daily. We even got some snow on our last day for the kids to sled. Overall great experience and would recommend anyone to stay at the Dillard cabin.
We enjoyed our stay here. Location was perfect for us. Kids loved the air hockey table and hot tub! The house was mostly clean, but there was a lot of dust on some of the more out of the way spots. Kitchen has everything we needed, and beds were fairly comfortable. We loved being so close to the parkway and Julian Price Park!

Dillard Cabin
We arrived on Friday afternoon to a beautiful cabin, very clean and tastefully decorated. We had 2 of our grandchildren with us and they had such a wonderful time at the cabin and surrounding areas. We went hiking, visited Tweetsie and enjoyed a couple of excellent meals in area restaurants. The cabin and the area are unique, quiet and peaceful. We would gladly return!

Kathy, thank you for the 5 star review! We do strive to keep the cabin in tip top shape and are glad you noticed! And sounds like you took those Grand kids to all the local attractions which are an easy and quick drive from the quiet yet convenient cabin location. Come back anytime!
This house worked well for our family this weekend. Super clean and well stocked kitchen (pots, pans, dishes, mugs, etc. no spices). Beds were comfortable. Lots of towels provided-for showers and hot tub. The hot tub was fabulous! Great location if you’re looking to hike. Lots of trails close by and right near Blue Ridge Parkway. The only thing missing was shampoo. Be sure to bring your own!

The Dillard Cabin
This property would have been rated EXCELLENT except for the lack of view of the mountains. Other than that, I'd say it was well decorated and clean with lovely amenities such as the hot tub (with robes) and the easy to operate fireplace. Loved being close to the wonderful town of Blowing Rock.

Peggy, we are so glad that you enjoyed the cabin and found it to be as nice as we described. If you will read the description of the cabin again, no where do we claim that it has big views, rather describe it as in a peaceful setting, very close to the wonderful hiking trails that lead into Julian Price Park, mountain streams, waterfalls and 10 minutes to either Boone or Blowing Rock. Not every mountain home has a big view, nor are most coastal homes oceanfront.
The office staff is amazing! Please replace those lumpy and old mattresses, I had to sleep on the single bed that had the best mattress. I did not get a good nights rest.
My wife and kids stayed at the Dillard property and we loved it. The only issue was we noticed the hot tub was not very clean upon arrival. We informed the property manager and the owner came to drain/ clean it within a couple hours. Great service! We would definitely return again.

Thanks for your review Shannon! We are glad you enjoyed your time at Dillard Cabin!
My family & I loved staying at the Dillard cabin. Conveniently located between Blowing Rock & Boone, this cabin made it easy to get to wherever we wanted to visit. The cabin itself is really pretty, and had everything we needed. It ended up being cold & rainy a couple of days, so we were thrilled that it had a fireplace & hot tub to make it feel cozy. There was an issue with the wifi the first night, but was fixed quickly. FYI, there is another cabin right next door, so it's not completely secluded, but is still quiet. We would definitely stay here again.
We were so pleased with the cabin! Everything we needed was there- plenty of towels, and even bath robes for after the hot tub! The air hockey table was sooo much fun! I hadn’t played in 50 years!
We saw flocks of wild turkeys and several deer. The leaves were especially beautiful this year. It was quiet and peaceful. I would DEFinately recommend the Dillard Cabin to friends! I hope to visit again, too!
Our oldest son is a Junior at App State. My other son was turning 18 and I couldn’t imagine not celebrating together!
The cabin was a perfect fit for our family to be together. The kids had a blast with the air hockey table and hot tub downstairs.
We also really enjoyed the fireplace. So cozy on a cold night.
We saw lots of wildlife and enjoyed the close proximity to both Blowing Rock and Boone downtown areas.
Cute cabin. Not much of a view or privacy. Wifi password did not work. Upstairs shower did not drain had to take the plug out and dig someones hairball out for the water to drain. Gas grill was not hooked up so had to cook steaks in the oven. Gas log fireplace was nice touch.
This gorgeous cabin was one of the cleanest places I’ve visited. Great location with a quick ride to downtown Boone. We had a minor issue with check in and property manager quickly addressed it. Excellent and fast communication overall with manager as well. Definitely recommend this property.
Nice location! We explored all the local parks and Grandfather Mountain.

wonderful stay!
we took our daughter to this beautiful, clean cabin near the town of blowing rock for her spring break. we made reservations last minute and Christine was wonderful to work with. it had everything that we needed and it was in a great location. we could get to the blue ridge hwy. in about 5min. we visited grandfather mountain in about a 20-30min.drive. we enjoyed shopping in the town of blowing rock and highly recommend bald guy coffee shop which is upstairs in the outdoor clothing store. linnville falls was also closeby and offered wonderful views and an interesting hike. we enjoyed the cabin's gas fireplace that heated the cabin quickly during the cooler days. there is wifi available, nice tv in the family and bedrooms.
the road to the cabin is a long& winding, but very easy to navigate. there was an air hockey table in the basement& laundry area. although we didn't use the hot tub, it looked clean and inviting. we showed pics to our friends, and they always say something about how nice the cabin looks. we thoroughly enjoyed our time at this cabin and hope to make it back next time we're in north carolina!

Loved the cabin...tucked back in the woods which was wonderful during the fall leaf season. Well laid out, with very nice light knotty pine walls and hardwood floors. Very nicely decorated with unique and tasteful mountain touches. Vaulted ceiling in the main living area with windows all the way to the top. Was nice to get all that light and to watch the leaves blow in the breeze. Nice hiking opportunity just down from the house and pristine hot tub on the lower deck with lots of privacy. Well equipped kitchen, spotless. Convenient to Blowing Rock & Boone albeit on some twisty mountain roads!

The cabin was really nice, clean and comfortable. Location is great to access hiking trails and Blowing rock, Banner Elk, Boone and the Blue ridge parkway
that said. the kitchen could use more smaller plates, bowls, and glasses. A grater would be great.
the biggest negative is that the shower faucets were plumbed with the hot and cold water reversed. The upstairs shower did not mix hot and cold well and needs to be repaired.
the hot tub is a great asset after you hike up and down Grandfather MTN.

Cabin was in immaculate condition upon arrival. Very clean and everything was as advertised. Very comfortable beds and tastefully furnished. Only a five minute drive from the Blue Ridge Parkway. We were not disappointed in any way.
