Beautiful home. Lots of space. We had 5 adults and 4 kids and still room to spare. Right on the beach with access crossover just one yard away. Two balconies. Owner is great and very flexible with check-in and check-out. Very close to the Big Store. Can say enough good things.

Family Vacation

Once again and as usual we had a great time staying at the Salty Lime. Especially enjoyed the new outside chairs great addition. This was our fifth or sixth time to stay here and look forward to next years stay at the Salty Lime. Renee is a wonderful host and is always checking to make sure everything is going smoothly. A great place to stay.

Perfect House for a Family Vacation

We have rented a house at Crystal Beach for Memorial Day for years and years. This house is by far the best that we have rented. The owner is just lovely and is very communicative both before and after. The house is so amazing. We had plenty of room for everyone. The kitchen and bathrooms were well stocked. I usually have to bring a ton of extra stuff because the houses are empty - not this one. There was salt, pepper, cooking oil and spices. Tons of pots and pans plus silverware. We could have fed an army. The house amazingly clean. Lots of extra towels for the bathrooms. The location was perfect - you can sit on the porch and just watch the waves or the people whichever you like. Being on the front row is my favorite. Getting to beach is just a short drive away on the golf cart trail. This end of the beach is much much calmer than further down towards the ferry. Our favorite restaurant, Stingaree is just across the highway. The Big Store is really close too. Overall, a perfect place to stay.

Beautiful Views

Beautiful views from every room of this great home on Bolivar Peninsula! The kitchen was well equipped and home was the perfect size for our family of eight adults. Plenty of outdoor chairs and loungers for enjoying the views and sun or shade on the large partially covered porches! We hope to return to The Salty Lime!

This was our second stay at the Salty Lime over the Christmas holidays, and it was as great as the first that made us decide to return. The location can't be beat.

Perfect for a family get-together

A Salty Lime is a gem! Great location - you can’t get closer to the beach unless you camp on it. The views from the decks are gorgeous and interesting at the same time. It’s located in a quiet, family friendly community. Virtually EVERYTHING is provided with the house - all we needed to bring were our food and clothes. The host was very congenial and reachable. We hope to bring the family back again soon.

Take Mom to the Beach

It was wonderful! The cabin was in a great location, easy access to the beach, had plenty of room for everyone, a great AC, a fun kitchen to cook in, super comfy beds with good pillows, easy to access wifi…it was perfect for us.

Happy beach stay!!!

We totally enjoyed our stay at the Salty Lime! The views were awesome. It is a short walk to the walkway to crossover the dunes. We setup our beach site near to the walkway and were able to come back and forth to the house very easy. Our beds were very comfortable, A/C worked great and everything was clean and fresh when we arrived! We will definitely pick this house again to spend a vacation at the beach!

Amazing weekend

We loved this house! It was perfect for our family weekend getaway. Conveniently located near The Big Store for groceries and supplies, and Stingaree Restaurant. The views are amazing, enough parking for everyone, only a few blocks from a golf cart rental, and the house itself is very comfortable and welcoming. We will hopefully be back.

MOLD!!!! SEPTIC ISSUES!!!

Mold inside the house along with septic issues. The owner rented a porta potty but i didnt pay $816 a night to have to use a porta potty like a public place. I contacted vrbo about this issue but i guess its acceptable to have mold and septic issues, as long as you complain while renting the house. After the stay (which was only 20 hours) then theres nothing they will do about it. As i dont see this being a timely manner to report issues and get a new house to stay in. UNACCEPTABLE ON THE HOST AND VRBO.

Family beach trip

This is our second year to stay at this property. The location is excellent. The house is easy to get to from the road. It’s even better because it’s right on the beach. I love looking out the windows over the water. The night time view is beautiful as well with the ships coming in. It’s a very nice place to rest upon the balcony overlooking the beach

Great place!

They just don’t make places as close to the beach as this house! The view takes the cake, but everything about this rental was perfect. So many (comfy) sleeping options, fully stocked kitchen, kids beach toys, first aid kit, more than enough towels, laundry detergent, hair blow dryer AND straightener, every seasoning you could imagine, board games, I could go on and on… it’s cute, it’s clean, okay I’ll stop! I would recommend getting a golf cart because you have to walk around to get to the walkway and by then you could already be there via cart. I personally like to unpack my suitcase into dressers and luckily I got the only room with one. I would LOVE to stay here again!

Perfect!

We had a small family reunion and celebrated Father’s Day here. The location is wonderful and beach access is easy. The house is set up very well. Loved having one of the bedrooms downstairs and the rest upstairs so that I did not wake everyone up when I started cooking. It also helped to have the bedrooms upstairs away from the living area so the little ones could sleep. The kitchen is wonderful! It had absolutely everything we could want or need. we cooked a lot and there was never the issue of needing something that was not there. Everyone had such a great time And we all enjoyed the decks that look out toward the gulf. Not that this is a make or break on a house… But the decor is so cute! Everyone loved the pictures on the walls. The communication was great as well.
