Room extra clean, lots of amenities available in kitchen and room in general, convenient location, easy access, local Girdwood free shuttle around town regularly. Stayed here last year, this year and hope to next year too !

Great time, great run !

The condo was super convenient, close to run event i was participating in. Also great places to eat and coffee shops and ski sporting goods store within a block or two. Condo was very clean, warm and comfortable - hope to return about the same time next year !

Perfect condo at a prime location

John's condon was perfect. Well equipped for a foray into the wilderness of Girdwood. Central location to several great restaurants and coffee shops, and the unit itself had everything needed for a weekend getaway. Sauna got a lot of use after long days of hiking.

Centrally located easy to get around

The condo is located smack dab in the middle of access to all things Alyeska. It's a short hike to the Alyeska resort, but it's also within a minute or two walk to many other ski/bike lifts. If you are a skier/snow boarder or biker it's a perfect location for access to the mountain. Most mountain stuff is walkable and if it's not, the shuttle stop is right there to drive you around. The condo is a studio, but it's pretty spacious. They have places to rest your skis and poles and even enough space for a bike. We arent actually bikers or skiers though. We did some hiking and many restaurants are within walking distance too. It was a good central location for us to bounce between Anchorage without staying in Anchorage, and made the trip to Seward a shorter day trip drive. The condo was clean and the bed was comfortable (which is important for me since I have a bad back, I'm including this for fellow back pain suffers). They had a lot of kitchenware (although we didn't use the kitchen half as much as we thought we might once we discovered The Picnic Club restaurant... which is really tasty). The only con I really have is the building is kind of old and I'm sure it gets a lot of wear and tear from skii/biking equipment coming in and out, but the hall going to the condo made me feel like I was in one of my old apartment or dorm buildings and initially didn't look very inviting and smelled like whatever everyone in the building was cooking. The condo also had a smell to it couldn't place my finger on, which may have been a cleaner or something. I'm real sensitive to smell, though; I don't think my husband was as bothered by it. The condo itself was good. John is very nice and was very helpful. He left a ton of brochures and a binder with house rules (that are pretty reasonable) which made it easy to look up stuff in the area. I'd stay here again :)

This unit is very conveniently located to the slopes, restaurants and shopping. It’s ground floor close to the laundry and sauna. Our host gave clear instructions and was flexible with check in check out requests. Clean and comfortable!

Great location close to all. Fully equipped kitchen. Constructive criticism is that there are no bedside reading lamps. Owner is easy to contact and helpful.

My two adult daughters stayed here and give it a 10 out of 10. The owner was very communicative and everything was as promised and in order. Great place to stay.

Great rental

This was a great place in a prime location. We were able to walk everywhere. I appreciated the thoughtfulness of the place with nice touches like phone chargers, fireplace, and a great stereo system that was easy to use. It was a pretty hot weekend for Girdwood, and my only complaint was that even with fans going it was pretty warm (73 degrees), and there was no patio furniture to hang out on the deck. It would have been a nice reprieve. Overall, it was a great room, great location, and easy to book.

Great stay

This was a great place to stay & super location to restaurants and attractions. The owner even brought a box fan to help with the unseasonable heat. Overall, a great place & deal.

Condo was perfectly located. Nearby location to eat, easy access to Alyeska and town. Place was spotless and had everything you could think of to make your stay comfortable. Would highly recommend.

Fantastic location, cozy getaway, a welcoming town

I cannot say enough things about this place! Cozy, clean, and stocked with kitchen amenities for the independent traveler. We were a couple who got married while staying in Girdwood and we're absolutely pleased with the condo and it's privacy. Check-in and check-out was a breeze, and the locals were super helpful and nice with giving us advice on where to eat, where to shop, and where to just have an outdoor adventure! Would absolutely stay here again!

Great little condo, perfect location

This is a great little condo! We stayed here for a week and were very pleased with the condition of the condo and the way it was stocked with kitchen supplies. We were able to prepare many of our own meals, which saved on dining out expenses. The location is perfect for exploring Girdwood as well as making day trips to Seward and up to Anchorage and beyond. This was our base of operations for day excursions hiking, sea kayaking, glacier climbing, and more. Highly recommended!

We really enjoyed our stay at John's property. The kitchen was well stocked and the bed was comfortable. The location was beautiful - right at the base of the mountain. While there was a slightly unpleasant smell in the hallway of the building, the owner has no control over that and the condo itself was perfect for our needs. We would stay there again.

We purchased this condo a couple of years ago as a way for our family to enjoy the ski slopes during the cold Alaska winters. During the summer months we are usually out and about so we love to let other folk use our cozy condo while it is not in use.

この宿泊施設の特徴

You have a view of the mountain from the deck, a 30 second walk to the transit system, a 1 min walk to the ski lift and, a 30 second walk to one of Girdwood's favorite restaurants Jack Sprat, a 1 min walk to the liquor store La Bodega, and a 1 min walk to another great place to eat The Bake Shop. Location, location, location! We have small children and this condo is set up for families with or without kids.
