Thank you for staying with us Brent. That is correct you booked a vacation rental. Your rental rate was $266 per night plus taxes and cleaning fee (we do not control any outside service fees). We do not claim to be the Ritz Carlton or the Four Seasons especially at $266 per night. You booked a budget friendly home. We have homes at all different price points and caliber if you were expecting champagne. The moment you walk into the property there is a guest view guide/ kiosk on the wall for you to check in on, which you did not. If you are technically challenged there is also a welcome book underneath it with information as well. The kiosk prompts you for a rating the moment you check in. It is also full of restaurant recommendations, household information that alerts you to pool service and garbage days etc. - Our contact numbers and cell numbers are also there. If that is not enough, we also have a guest hospitality mobile app to use, which also you clearly did not. There are multiple ways to contact us, but we never heard from you once. The kitchen table is from Crate and Barrel and the couches are from City Furniture. So, your guessing is a bit off with Ikea. The pool lounge chairs are brand new, and they are a mesh material - they cost more than your nightly rental rate. Our towels are Turkish cotton from American Soft Linen. We do not provide beach umbrellas so that was left there from a previous guest - the reason we do not provide them is because guests always break them. You could have contacted us for a late checkout, and we would have been more than happy to extend you one, again many options and means to contact us, you did not. We stock our homes fully with hand soaps, laundry supplies, dish soaps, trash bags etc... more so than most any vacation rentals. Again, you are complaining about staying in a rental which is exactly what you booked and paid for. We have been voted The Best of the Best for Vacation Rentals in Fort Lauderdale for the past three years in by Fort Lauderdale Magazine. There are many local area hotels that may suite your needs better next time you are in town to ensure your expectations are meant.
