We had a wonderful stay. Location was easily walkable to downtown and the accommodations were spot on. Catherine was a great host and provided great communication. We had everything we needed - well appointed. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to friends without hesitation.

Perfect in every way

From the beginning of our booking, the host was communicative and helpful. The check-in instructions were simple and spot-on. The location itself is so convenient to everything downtown without being right in the middle of any hustle and bustle. If you haven't been to AVL be aware there are hills to navigate if you want to walk anywhere, pretty much regardless of where you stay. We are older but didn't have any real trouble with that.The apartment itself is absolutely wonderful. There's a comfortable living/sitting room attached to a well stocked kitchen, where the host has graciously thought ahead of everything you might want, from coffee fixings to light snacks. The bed was super-comfortable and we slept like two logs every night. The rental is part of a larger condominium building, so occasionally you might hear a neighbor going down the hall while sitting in the living room, but the location was incredibly quiet -- you can't hear anything at all from the bedroom, and there are blackout curtains to ensure a restful slumber. One of the best things about this location was reserved parking off-street. We were literally right next to the entrance which made check-in and check-out seamless. Finally, when I asked the night before check-out about anything to prepare, the host said no need -- again, taking care of everything. There was nothing for us to do during this stay but enjoy this perfect cozy hideaway. When we return to AVL, we'll definitely try to stay here again!

Why they chose this property

We absolutely love Asheville and the surrounding mountains! We considered it a dream come true to own a property in downtown. It is such a unique city and there is always something to do. Being able to walk everywhere is the best part! Not having to pay for parking is also a plus. Park your car and GO! We enjoy walking to breweries, wine bars, historic sights, art galleries and countless restaurants. When we do decide to drive somewhere, the highway access is a breeze! We love to visit the historic Grove Park Inn for lunch, dinner or drinks. The view from the Sunset Terrace at sunset is incomparable. A visit to the Sierra Navada Brewery is a must and hiking the Dupont State Forest is a favorite of ours. You can see three spectacular waterfalls! THREE! Take a short drive north and visit Weaverville. There are a couple of great breweries in this little hamlet. Stop at Eluvium Brewing for a great burger and fabulous beer! Then head over to Leveller Brewing Co. for more great beer. Also, be sure to visit the Main Street Grill or the Glass Onion for dinner. The options are truly endless in Asheville. You don't really need to leave the downtown area but if you do there is always plenty to do.

The single best feature of our property is the location! You are minutes away from all the fun! Our condo is comfortable and super stylish! The comfy king bed and blackout curtains are perfect for a great night sleep. We have luxury sheets and bedding for your total relaxation and condo is extremely quiet. We offer spa robes and luxury plush towels for the best bath or shower ever! The separate shower had body wash, shampoo and conditioner available in a convenient dispenser. There is a large soaking tub for you to enjoy a relaxing bath. We have provided bath bombs for an extra special experience. ALL bedding is washed & sanitized, including the coverlet, after every guest so you can feel comfortable knowing everything is fresh and clean. We offer many options for coffee and tea. We provide a drip coffee maker, a French press as well as a Keurig. We have regular and decaf coffee, hot chocolate and several options for tea. We supply half & half but if you let us know your preference we can provide whatever you like. The kitchen is stocked with everything you need to make a meal. We know that you will enjoy staying at our little slice of heaven in downtown Asheville. Dream Away!
