We had a good experience at the Heiser Haus. It was a cute place, not to far off Main Street. However, it rained most of the time we were there, so were unable to experience the walk to Main Street. The house was nicely decorated, as shown in the pictures online, but do note the stairs could be tricky, for those accessing the upstairs bedroom/bathroom. We would definitely stay again!

This was my second time to stay here. Good for two couples but know there is a very steep stairway to the second floor and no door. Had a couple of maintenance items with the toilets needed. I’d stay again though. Walking distance to Main Street.

A place to return to

This was my second visit to Heiser Haus. The house is VERY clean and cozy and they have thought of every amenity. (Perhaps a dish-scrubbing brush could be added, and a shower squeegee, but those are minor asks.) The house is located across the street from a lovely, quiet little park, and one can access Main Street Frederickburg on foot via a footbridge over a small creek. Altogether an excellent lodging and I plan to come back often!

Close to Main Street, because of the nice little walking bridge. Orange street is quiet and there’s off street parking. The backyard was small but nice. Kitchen has what we needed.I’d stay here again.

We really enjoyed our stay at this quiet and charming cottage. The place was very clean, super comfortable and well appointed. The walk to main street was slightly further than expected but still not bad. We will certainly recommend this place and look forward to a future stay when we return to Fredericksburg, thank you!

The house is in excellent condition. It is wonderfully historical and will enhance your trip to Fredericksburg. The beds are incredibly comfortable and the showers are top notch. It has everything you need and the hosts are very communicative and responsive.

Quaint home within walking distance of Main Street. Decorations were so cute and home was well laid out. Stairs to second floor are small but did not present a problem for us. Upstairs bedroom and bath were nicely redone and we appreciated the extra space. Home provided everything we needed for a long weekend with family.

The Heiser House is charming and clean. It was a little tricky navigating the stairs leading to the second floor suite, especially with a small carry on suitcase because of the turn in the staircase and resultant very narrow steps.There are sturdy hand rails which helped.The outside front entrance could benefit from a railing even though there are only three steps.
