About Margie Klueber
We visited North Captiva Island and were immediately charmed by its unique character. For us it was the perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of the Northeast, Though we weren't quite sure whether our young adult children would be equally charmed, they, too fell in love with this island getaway.
Margie Klueber purchased this House in 2012

Miss being on "Island Time" already.
Traveled to Upper Captiva with our 5 kids and stayed at Isle be There. House was well furnished and clean. Staff at North Captiva Island Club was helpful and accommodating. Margie was beyond helpful with advice and quick to answer our questions. Some of the activities we enjoyed:
Hiked down to the southern end of the island...saw no one and had 3 miles of beach to ourselves.
Parked at the end of the air strip and watched dolphins swim by daily.
Attended a small church service and ate lunch with Sue Anne at upper captiva chapel.
Went Christmas caroling (by golf cart) with Sue Anne from the chapel.
Dinner at Barnacle's.
Dinner at the Boat House.
Lunch at the Waterfront.
Snacks and drinks from the pool bar.
One piece of advice...remember that you are on an island...that is an adventure in itself. Be prepared to embrace it. Everything happens at a different pace, and what could have been inconveniences for us turned into adventures that my family will remember forever. Example: we had two days of 55+MPH winds with on and off rain. Those two days we explored the island with no one around, ate lunch with a quirky cook/waiter/entertainer at On the Water, found giant shells washed ashore from the storm, and opened coconuts blown down by the winds. Simply an amazing time.
A little piece of paradise!!
We absolutely loved this house and North Captiva Island! The island was just perfect for us. Daily bike rides, kayaking, beach time, pool, manatee sightings and relaxing! Reminded of of a Caribbean island without the hassle of getting there! The house is in a great location- short walk to the pool and beach. We loved the 2nd floor screened porch and deck overlooking the trees! The house was clean, well maintained, and had everything we needed. Owner was super helpful and accommodating. We will be back!!
Had the pleasure to stay in North Captiva from October 30-November 4, 2018, the property Isle Be There. We couldn’t have asked for nicer weather at this time of year. In the low 80’s daily and no humidity!! One of the days the ocean was like a lake, no waves. There were not many people on the island I guess because schools are back in session which made for an extremely relaxing vacation! Had the beach to ourselves!!
Stayed at ‘Isle Be There’ before and love its location. Easy walking distance to the beach in one direction and the pool/activity area in the other. Of course it’s even faster in a golf cart!! The owners keep the property beautiful inside and out. And is equipped with everything needed for a very enjoyable stay...home away from home. Can’t wait to go back again.

Perfect Fall Getaway!
Our stay at Isle Be There on North Captiva island was just perfect! After such a rainy summer in the Northeast we were looking for a little sun and relaxation before fall rolls in. We had daytime temps in the 80's and nights in the 70's. Ocean water very warm and the sunsets were breathtaking. The house did not disappoint, perfect location close to both the beach and the Island Club. Fun to cruise around on the golf cart too! We enjoyed all our meals on the screened in porch. Kitchen well equipped, even a nice gas grill.
Not all restaurants open as this is the off season. Pool bar open for lunch and dinner. Fish tacos were great and we got some wings to go for a beach snack... Barnacles was open 11-4 for lunch, food was good and beer was cold. Talked to the locals about the "Red Tide". We were not affected and did not see any evidence of it. They are hoping that it has run it's course and upcoming storms will send it out to sea... Cannot wait to go back!
Perfect relaxing vacation!
This was our first visit to North Captiva Island. What a gem! We were impressed how accommodating the club was for helping make our stay wonderful. We were so lucky to have found this beautiful home-it was a perfect size for the 7 of us! Plenty of beds, bathrooms, space to relax. It is clean and has absolutely everything necessary for a relaxing vacation! The house is in a great location on the island. We loved that the house came with a golf cart-it made exploring the island easy. You could even walk to the beach or pool from the house. Margie was so helpful in answering my questions prior to arrival...and then the club staff took care of everything we needed once we arrived. The sunsets over the water were a definite highlight. Loved our stay here!!
Comfortable property with all you need for a relaxing vacation
Our family of six just returned from our stay at Isle Be There. We are already planning our trip
back for next year! The home itself was comfortable and clean with lots of space for the 6 of us. Our kids really enjoyed the hammock on the covered porch and all the games provided (there were a few pieces missing from a couple of games, but nothing that stopped us from playing). This was our first time visiting the island, so we were newbies at figuring out what to bring as far as groceries and kitchen items. The one thing we did forget was plastic wrap/aluminum foil, napkins and items like that for the kitchen. All appliances worked well. Great communication from owner before and during our stay, even with an issue with the tv cable, which was fully resolved during our stay. We loved the location, which was equally close (just down the road) to the beach and the club pool. We were also appreciative of the use of kayaks (which we used to paddle out to see dolphins by the airport) and bikes which we used to go get ice cream at Barnacles. Can’t wait til next year!
Explore the 350 acre wildlife preserve by foot or by bicycle where your endpoint is a miles long secluded beach. This home is a 1 minute golf cart ride (or walk) to your deeded access beach where you can play, relax or surf fish. Or, just as close, head to the Island Club where house membership includes use of an Olympic sized pool, spa, tennis court, playground and pool bar. We can link you up with a local fishing guide that knows the island in and out and can take you on a private fishing tour- including night fishing.
