The Oyster is more than a vacation rental! It's laid-back lodging, custom designed for fishing & birding trips, adult group getaways, family gatherings with older children or just an escape from the ordinary.
This character-meets-comfort retreat offers several unique and separate spaces: 2 cozy Cabins; a "professional" Kitchen (aka: The Pearl, a repurposed food trailer); a second level, open-air Patio & indoor Bar/Dining Room and a large, ground-level, covered, Outdoor Living Area where you'll likely spend the majority of your time.
The Cabins: Cozy, Private & Practical
Each Cabin has 2 Bedrooms with a Full Size Bunk Bed in each, a Full Bath with Shower & separate Sink and small Living Area with loveseat & 2 chairs. There's a mini-split a/c unit in each Bedroom & Living Area.
The Kitchen: A Foodie's Dream
Get ready to cook in a repurposed, fully equipped food trailer. Whether you're grilling up the day's catch or laying out a midnight snack, this unexpected gem is both functional & full of personality. Plus the bay view from the prep/"service" window is unbeatable.
The Stilt Haus: Breezy Views & Easy Entertainment
The second level, open air Patio invites you to kick back with a cold drink, watch the boats go by and relax on the comfortable, living room style furniture. Or step inside to the Bar/Dining Room outfitted with bar height dining table & bar stools, large TV with Roku, Half Bath and mini-split a/c unit. It's the perfect place for dinner, games, watching some television or recharging after a day on the water.
Outdoor Living Area: Shady & Expansive
Well-built outdoor seating, cocktail table & picnic table offer different locations to eat, chat or take in the surroundings with plenty of space for a game of washers or corn-hole.

A public fishing pier is just steps from the Outdoor Living Area.
A boat ramp is 1/2 miles from the property.
Indianola Fishing Marina is just 2 miles down the road and offers multiple types of bait, a bar & grill, dockside fishing at the mouth of Powderhorn Lake, live music on the weekends and a boat ramp as well.
Powderhorn wetlands is close by and ideal for kayaking, kayak fishing or to view a multitude of different types of birds.
Magnolia Beach is a natural beach made of finely crushed shell and is great for seashell hunting.
