ADA friendly Cottage on XL lot with Fire Circle, 1.5 blocks from Bayfront & Pier

Welcome to Calhoun County, your Seabreeze destination awaits! The Beachy Keen cottage is a new construction ADA-standard home on an extra large lot with mature trees, a fire circle, and parking pad. Home is equipped with Google hub systems from the electronic door lock and exterior security cameras to the TV and sound system. Sign in and out of your services during your stay.

The living and dining rooms welcome groups comfortably, the kitchen is equipped with gas range, electric oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, sink, and dishwasher. A laundry room is available off the kitchen. There are 2 bedrooms, one Primary (with En-Suite bath) and one Secondary, both off the Living/Dining area. The Secondary bathroom is also off the Living Room. With notice, the Secondary Twin XL beds can be converted to a King, sheeted together.

There are twin, full, and queen air mattresses as well as two sleepable couches in the living room, and yard camping is allowed with notice. RVs welcome, but no hookups available.

Pets are allowed, but local wildlife will take an interest in unsupervised animals (especially small ones.) Do not leave pets off-leash or unattended at any time.

Nearby are Seadrift's favorite restaurants, along the bayfront and Hwy 185. There are gas stations, a grocery, and community centers/churches within walking distance. Seadrift has a library, and Calhoun County judge's office as well. Great spot for a weekend fishing and with family! Events and large groups welcome, but please give notice so we can prepare a deeper clean after your checkout. NO SMOKING INDOORS — please step off porches to the Carport or yard.

We had an excellent stay. The property was exactly as described, clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The host was great to work with and communicated promptly throughout the entire process. Everything went smoothly, and we had no issues during our stay. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this property to others.

I would totally recommend this cottage. It was clean, incredibly spacious, comfy, and had everything we needed. The host was great at communicating and everything was smooth. The cottage is so close to the bay and some restaurants. The wifi was reliable. I would definitely stay again.

It was clean and 4 house from the pier I caught a bunch of fish . The Mexican restaurant in town was excellent and the sea food bubbas was excellent too. You can’t beat this place for the price and location. Super quiet too .

A great place to stay and handicap accessible!! My grandfather was able to get around easy and we didnt have to worry! Host was wonderful and quick to responde. Overall we had a wonderful weekend and made great memories.

I would not recommend this location at all. Other than being ADA compliant as advertised, I would not recommend. We had issues from the moment we arrived. The front door keypad would not work. The digital keypad would not respond and at times, the numbers would flash. We eventually got in after sometimes 10 tries but had continued issues and were afraid of getting locked out. When we arrived, the house was very hot. We found no thermostat. I reached out to the host and was told the thermostat concealed UNDER a wall picture, NOT visible. It was at 81 degrees and 12 hours later, was still not to target temperature. We were never comfortable in the house. In South Texas in the summer, if you are expecting guests, you don't have the thermostat preset to 81 degrees. The place was very dirty upon our arrival. Bugs on counters, sofa and chair covers had stains or bugs on them. Trash can and oven had dried food. Lights in some rooms did not work. Host initially was responding and then you could tell that our discomfort and problems were of no concern to them. We ended up staying at a hotel for night two of our booked VRBO stay. I reached out to the host and requested a partial refund and was told no! He declined to accept anything I showed proof of. And the worst part of the stay was the bedding had fleas. Property allow pets although we did not have pets with is. But we found fleas in the bedding and submitted the host with videos to prove. Would not recommend

This is an extra large lot, because it's actually multiple lots! We've had RVs, tiny homes, tents, and more on the property for family reunions and longer term stays. From the driveway, it's line-of-sight to the bay and pier, as well as the seawall park and pavilion.
