About Cameron Roe

My wife and I, along with 2 boys bought our dream condo in Solitude! As a transplanted Canadian, I know snow, and the snow at Solitude is amazing. We live down at the bottom of Big Cottonwood Canyon so are just a stones throw away if you have any issues so come on up and enjoy your stay!

Cameron Roe purchased this condo in 2013

Why Cameron Roe chose Utah

The one bedroom & den combination is the perfect situation for a family or friends. Not too big and expensive but still roomy and comfortable. We've tried to put everything in the room that you could want for a family ski trip (including Xbox!) but if there is anything you need just call.

What makes this condo unique

While the winter is amazing and the snow the best in the world, you really should try the summers up in Solitude. Nice and cool at 8500 feet to beat the heat of the Salt Lake valley, yet close enough to go out to shows and theaters.

This is a well-maintained, lovely condo. Truly ski-in, ski out. Great owner communication, instructions, etc. Might need to return to Solitude one day and hope to stay in this lovely, convenient home again! Perfect!

Perfect small family vacation base.

  • 5 of 5

Stayed with my 3 kids for a long weekend of skiing. Plenty of room, excellent location, could not have been better. Cam's videos make getting to condo and in condo seamless; strongly recommend viewing prior to stay.

FANTASTIC!

  • 5 of 5

This was, by far, the best ski vacation we've had! The condo is perfect and has everything a family needs. It felt brand new - from the hardwood floors to the SUPER clean bathroom. Everything in the kitchen is pristine. The description is exact! Short walk to the slopes, lovely Club to relax at after a long day on the beautiful Solitude slopes. SO family friendly. The condo owner was so fast in responding to anything we needed. I would highly recommend this Solitude condo - can't wait to book for next year!

Perfect family getaway

  • 5 of 5

This was the perfect unit for our family of four (two kids under 6). The kids loved the bunk beds in the den and the king bed in the bedroom was clean and comfortable. The unit was well stocked with extra towels, pillows, blankets and kitchen essentials (the kitchen has everything, including a fully-stocked spice rack). The unit is conveniently located on the 2nd floor, around the corner from the elevator. The owners/hosts are extremely helpful and gracious. Highly recommended!!

Lovely spot right in the villiage at Solitude

  • 5 of 5

Beautiful condo. Great place to kick back after a day of skiing.

The kitchen has all of the right tools, including a crock pot!

We had 3 people staying here, so we each had our own bed. The place is a little small, so make sure you share this place with people you're friends with. The bunks are right outside the bathroom and right next to the kitchen. Technically, it does sleep 7, but I can't imagine trying to pack that many people in.

As I said, we enjoyed our stay. I'd go back.

Great place to enjoy the Solitude

  • 5 of 5

This condo was a perfect frame for a great skiing trip. Rooms are well appointed, kitchen is super well stocked, up to a small things - really good coffee, olive oil etc etc - altogether made our breakfasts easy and enjoyable. Good set of board games for the evening, comfortable beds, nice bathroom.

Worth to mention that it's a concrete structure, meaning excellent sound isolation from the neighbors - we have reservations about being on a second floor, turned out being non-issue.

Building, as well as the rest of the complex, is well maintained. Hard to overstate convenience of the underground parking garage, and ski lifts being just a couple minutes walk away. Local Whole Foods just 20 min drive away, if your heart desire.

Hosts were a pleasure to deal with - from the excellent pre-trip instructions/recommendations, to a quick and friendly response, when needed.

Thanks!

It’s not just about getting away; it’s where you find yourself. Solitude’s charming, European-style village hosts many appetizing restaurants, comfortable accommodations and Club Solitude, where you, your family and friends can enjoy a multitude of activities from hot tubs, swimming pool, theatre, billiards and fitness facility. The Village is the center for many fun activities, such as ice skating, snowshoeing or making some delicious S’mores by one of the warm fire pits.

The Solitude Mountain Spa is awesome and some hands on pampering after a day a skiing may be just the thing.
