About George Luzaich
We are a family of three and we co-own this house with my in-laws. We bought the house with my in-laws in order to thank them for helping us establish a business. We wanted my father-in-law to use it as a getaway with his fishing buddies, but we use it more as a weekend getaway for ourselves. We put it up for vacation rentals because it is a cute house and we cannot use it enough. The lake is wonderful and we love the house and hope that everyone else loves it as much as us. We live about 2 hours away from the house, but with a business, a toddler, my wife's profession, and the rest of life we cannot make it as often as we would like. Our rates are typically lower than you find in the area as we rent the house to offset some of the ownership costs, but are not necessarily looking to make a profit (as we want to use it when we are free).
George Luzaich purchased this House in 2010
Why George Luzaich chose Bumpass
The house is located about 1/2 mile from our community dock in a very quiet community. It is 3 bedrooms with a nice, open floor plan. The house has lake views in the winter, but it is stretching it to call it a true lake view home. It is clean, quiet, and fun.
What makes this House unique
It has a 'welcome home' feel and we have plenty of toys and games for kids who come along. It is not a lakefront luxury home so if you want that this is the wrong property for you. The neighbors are non-invasive and the house is fairly isolated. The low prices reflect the desire that the house is used by those who appreciate a place away, but are not after lakefront. I do not convey the house well in my description or my pictures as we are always told that the house is so much nicer than it appears in ads.

Beautiful home - so much better than the pictures show!
This lovely home is the cleanest and best equipped VRBO I have ever stayed in. The pictures don't do it justice. It is nicely furnished, with a "great room:" for family life, living, dining, and kitchen with long counter open to all the action. The lake is across the street, and in the winter when the leaves are off the trees, I'm sure you can see it. But because of the lovely big lots in this development, all the waterfront is private property except for the community dock and boat ramp area, that's why you must walk to it (driving is OK, there is a grassy parking lot.) But we walked to the lake 2 x a day, it's only 0.4 miles away - a pleasant 10 minute walk (or 4 minute drive) to get to the lake access dock and boat ramp. There is a grassy parking lot, so if you have lots of stuff or small children, you can drive and park. Water depth off the end of the dock is about 4 feet - OK for kids to jump in, but adults should take care. Wading into the lake, you use the boat ramp, which is a bit tough on your feet (poured rough concrete) so bring your swimming shoes/sandals. I took mine off once the water was deep enough for me to float, then I put the shoes on the end of the dock to use when I was walking back out. There is no ladder on the dock, you have to walk in and out. The water quality is excellent in Lake Anna. This part of the lake is quiet, even on weekends, some water sports but not many.
The satellite dish offerings are basic, so if you are a TV sports hound, best to bring your laptop (no wifi, bring a hot spot on your phone.) Or, better yet, give up sports watching and make your own sports - there is a HUGE grassy back yard for soccer, badminton, kick ball, etc. The roads in the development are quiet, safe for biking, and gently rolling. The house air conditioning is efficient, purrs along, and there is a great back porch and gazebo where you can eat breakfast and bird watch.
This rental was perfect for my husband and I - we saved money not being lakefront, and it forced us to walk about 2 miles a day to get to the lake for our swim. In the woods, the buzz of jet skis was never heard, so it was peaceful. Not exciting enough for some people, but perfect for us. We will definitely be back!

I stay at this rental a few times a year and it is always clean and comfortable. A++++
Very nice place. We had a great time🤗
Our family was very happy with the house. The owner was very nice to work with.
Clean and roomier than pictures make it appear.
Home is much bigger on the inside that it looks online and from the outside. Very clean and very comfortable!
Very clean house with relatively new appliances, quiet neighborhood. Not lakefront. Smoke alarm battery went out middle of night...
We try to make it clear that the house is not lakefront in the listing and offered to let the guest out of the reservation when he realized that fact. The smoke alarm, sorry, batteries lose their charge and I had tested the alarm 1 week earlier and did not know the battery was low.
Photos do not do the house justice!!
We stayed here recently (mid November) for a fishing trip and although the fishing did not work out as planned, the house was perfect. George's house is the cleanest homeaway I have stayed in! It is the most absolutely coziest little home for a romantic getaway or to bring the kids. Thank you so much for having us! We'll be back again soon!
We are located close to all of the local restaurants and our community dock gives access to all attractions on the lake. We are close to the private side of the lake and the community is a clean, quiet, family-friendly area to relax and enjoy time away. The house is a 1200 square foot, 3 Bedroom, 2 Bath ranch-style house. There is a gazebo with seating. The house is technically a lake access property with access through our community dock (about 1/2 mile walk or drive), but we have lake views in the winter months. We are close to the Elk Creek Store which has all supplies that you need for fishing and boating.
