Jeg lærte om Kulakane for 25 år siden og besluttede at blive her hos min bror. Min kone og jeg havde også besøgt Kulakane og blev forelsket i det så meget, at vi købte en lejlighed det følgende år. Nogle af de samme traditioner, der blev nydt for 25 år siden, fortsætter i dag.

Pupu-festerne hver uge, blæser af kegleskaller hver dag og nyder en morgenmad på lanaien og værdsætter den smukke udsigt over havet med de smukke øer Lanai og Molokai i det fjerne. De mennesker vi møder og venner vi ser hvert år gør din oplevelse endnu mere usædvanlig.

Priceless view

We saw whales and dolphins from the balcony! Very peaceful location. Note, this is an older building so you may hear the upstairs tenant (which was noisy at times). Otherwise, the area itself is quiet. Couch pullout is a little noisy, but quite comfortable and larger than the bedroom bed. Great bbq grills, and easy access for early morning snorkel before high tide.

Unit 204 was WONDERFUL - we would return!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our family of 4 stayed in unit 204 for 9 nights in July 2024. We loved the location and the view! The condo had all the amenities we needed, including cooler, beach chairs, beach towels. Only improvements we'd recommend are: replacing the sofabed as it is old and squeaky, update items/areas ie. bathroom door doesn't close well, burnt out lightbulbs, the 4 beach umbrellas are all cheap and old, black out curtains/blinds in bedroom would be nice, plug-in fans were too dusty to use, condo was clean but not deep cleaned ie. edges of counters were sticky, bathroom walls had floss chunkies, etc. Note there is no AC in the unit but the breeze was good enough. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would definitely return! Mahalo to Debbie for timely responses to all my queries.

Wonderful place to vacation

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have vacationed in Maui for over 20 years. This was our second time staying in the Kulakane complex. We enjoyed ourselves both times although staying in different units each time. Located in Honokawai all the units face the ocean with superb views of the ocean and the islands of Lanai and Molokai from your private deck. Wifi and cable television are available in most if not all units. The units are equipped with full kitchens; having a stove, refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, plates and cooking utensils. This part of the island with its' breezes is refreshingly a bit cooler than the not too distant town of Lahaina which is about a 10 minute drive from here. Kaanapali resort area is about a 5 minute drive. Kapalua beach is one of best beaches to swim and snorkel and is abut a 7 minute drive. The complex has a swimming pool and huge sea turtles frequently lunch on seaweed on the reef in front. The building and grounds are kept clean and the management staff are very responsive and pleasant to deal with. There are 2 barbecue grills available that are cleaned daily. There is also a coin operated laundry room. At sunset, Tony leads all interested guests in blowing Conch shells to ring out the day. On Friday evenings there is a potluck where guests can socialize and bring their favorite dish to share. A health food store, farmers market, food trucks, restaurants and a grocery store are about a 5 minute walk from the condo. All in all a very nice place to stay and at a reasonable price.

12 day visit to Kulakane on Maui

Great service from on-site staff. Condo was in very good condition. On-site laundry facility was clean and in good working order. On-site 'beach' facilities were adequate. There is some property 'construction' going on with their sea-wall but no work was happening while I was there. I will go back to Kulakane as a frequent visitor to West Maui.

The kitchen was well equipped, the bedroom has a walking closet and the balcony was the perfect place to have breakfast and dinner. The place was really clean and close to lots of interesting places in Maui. Lots of beaches were nearby and the neighborhood is plenty of restaurants and groceries. We recommend this place to couples. The only problem we had was that our wifi was not working. They gave us the possibility to get connected to a wifi close by but the signal was terrible. I hope they will take care of that. For the rest, awesome experience and we hope to go back soon.

Good Condo, But Not Very Clean

Reviewer Comments: The view was wonderful and we got to watch a family of honu (turtles) playing and eating from our balcony. But there was a big piece of dirt on the bed, and the floor looked like it had not been swept. I was shocked since there was a $120 cleaning fee! The office was closed when we got there otherwise I would have asked the maid to comeback. Also the door stop was in 2 pieces and 2 of the mail lights were bert out.

Heaven on Earth

From the moment you walk into the condo, the ocean view is grand and sweeping - completely unreal. The ocean is so close it sounds like the waves are crashing inside, and it is pure bliss. We sat on the porch for hours watching the whales and enjoying the Maui air. The condo is perfectly located, and you can walk just about anywhere you like. Condo was super clean and had every single thing we needed for our stay. Debbie in the office was wonderful. We really couldn't have asked for anything more, and we cannot wait to come back.

I am happy to be living in paradise and I live on the property that I manage. When guests book any of our condos, I will be here to greet you personally. I am a mother of 2, grandmother of 7 and Great grandmother of 2 and I adore my family! I encourage them to come see me as often as possible as they all live on the main land. What a place to come visit Grammie and Grandpa, right?

There are so many little shops and restaurants within walking distance of the condos. There are also food trucks just down the street from here across from the Times Supermarket, which is less than a mile from the condos. Guests go get their take out food and come back and eat on their lanai's and watch for turtles. Honokowai is a very nice little neighborhood between Ka'anapali and Kahana.

We are a small 42 condo complex directly ocean front. Every condo has the same amazing view. You can see Honu (sea turtles) in the surf out front every day and during the whale season, you can watch those play all day as well. We have a Pupu (appetizers, potluck style) party every Friday night at sunset. Hawaiian tradition is to blow the conch shells at sunset every evening to each point on the compass. We do that every evening. It's a very friendly homey kind of place that I think you'll love.
