Welcome to our newly renovated beach house in Au Gres—completed in September 2024! Perfect for families or groups, this charming retreat features 3 comfortable bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms.

On the main floor, you'll find two bedrooms: one with a king bed, and the other with a queen. Upstairs, the spacious third bedroom offers two queen beds and two twin beds, ideal for kids or larger groups.

Enjoy direct, shared access to beautiful Lake Huron—no roads to cross, just steps from your door. The beach is shared with seven other cottages, giving you a quiet experience.

Pet-friendly and packed with amenities, the home includes WiFi, smart tvs, central air conditioning, heating, a washer/dryer, outdoor fire pit, and grills—everything you need for a relaxing getaway. Whether you're staying a few nights or a few weeks, our house is equipped for comfort and convenience.

We’re located just 5 minutes north of downtown Au Gres and 15 minutes south of Tawas. Three parking spaces are available.

We had a lovely stay in July. The property is nicely renovated and was very clean. Sarah was very responsive and a great host. The outdoor area was nicely appointed with several grills, a fire pit, and chairs.

The cottage is so comfortable and all the touches to make you feel at home are wonderful. The upstairs bedroom is spacious enough that our 4 grown kids had no problem sharing it for the week we were there. And the bathroom with a shower just for them was so great. To have another bathroom/shower and 1/2 bath downstairs was so convenient. Having a washer and dryer and a dishwasher came in so handy. With kids usually it never fails that a laundromat run will be needed when you're on vacation, but we didnt have to go anywhere this time. There are so many touches that just seemed so thoughtful to me. And maybe its because I have been so used to feeling like I have to bring EVERYTHING on vacation from home because its not going to be there. But Sarah has made sure that its there in the cottage. There are cookie cutters in the kitchen. There are dog bowls, and leashes if you forgot to pack yours. There was shampoo/conditioner and body wash in the showers. There is extra toilet paper. There is an air fryer and so many other kitchen things, I can't even remember. There are nice sized TV's with Roku in all 3 bedrooms and in the living room. There is comfortable furniture!!! And really nice beds!!! There is a big dining table with chairs to sit as a family and play games at night. It was great family time for us. And Hammel Beach is right out the back door. Finding Petoskey stones is always at the top of our list. We will definitely stay here again.

Why they chose this property

We choose Au Gres for our up North getaway because we like Lake Huron, the sunrises, the boating, the fishing and it's close to get to from our primary residence.

What makes this property unique

We just finished a complete remodel of the house last fall (2024), so you get the quaintness of an old cottage, with all the updates and modern features. We are right on the water and have set up the back patio to be an extension of the house.
