This is intended to assist, and only if these issues are important or relevant to future guests.―The hosts are readily available – but only through the VRBO messaging tool.―Check-in details are available only on the day of arrival and only through messaging. This might be clumsy, even inconvenient, for anyone lacking access to VRBO’s online tool at arrival time; thinking some international travelers without a US SIM or their reach to VRBO’s app happens to be in their suitcase upon arrival. ―The descriptive heading using the word ‘luxury’ is misleading. The property isn’t, it was very simple but clean.―Reaching the front door from street level includes an accessibility issue. Steps – about 1 ½ floors, some quite steep, need to be navigated.―Parking, while available, tends to be tricky given a hill’s slope where cars could be parked.

Thank you for your feedback. We were readily available throughout the stay and communicated primarily through the VRBO app, as recommended by VRBO for guest and host protection. In addition, we also sent check-in instructions via text and were available by phone if needed. For international guests who may need extra assistance, we are always happy to accommodate in advance when notified. Check-in details are provided on the day of arrival in line with VRBO’s standard process. The listing photos accurately represent the property, including clear image of the stair access from street level, so guests can assess accessibility beforehand. While the home may not be suitable for guests with mobility concerns, this is visible in the listing. Plenty of street parking is available, as the property is located on a cul-de-sac, though the neighborhood does have natural hillside terrain typical of the Los Angeles area. We’re glad you found the unit clean and appreciate the feedback.

My spouse and I traveled to LA to visit relatives at the end of July. We read the review of this property, as well as the response of the owner. We carefully looked over the pictures of the rental and decided that the location, price, and amenities met our needs, so we reached out to book the property. I am so glad that we did!First and foremost, the hosts communicate with their guests well. They checked in on a regular basis to make sure that we had everything we needed and to ask if everything was going well. They made sure that we had everything we needed and even anticipated things we might need before we knew we needed them.The unit itself was exactly as pictured on VRBO. Yes, there are stairs, and there are pictures of the stairs. If you have mobility issues, then this unit might not be best suited for you. We are in our 60s, and for us, the stairs were no problem.Finally, I want to point out that this unit is in a fantastic location. Personally, it was close to my relatives who live in Atwater Village. In addition, Whole Foods is right across the street. Trader Joe’s is about a 6-minute drive, and Costco is about 10 minutes away, as well.Overall, the kindness of our hosts, the location of the property, and the unit itself exceeded our needs. I originally drafted a much longer review, but the character limit has forced me to edit the info provided. Please know that my spouse and I were truly happy with our stay, and we hope to return on our next visit to LA.
