There's a large covered dock included with this property, featuring 5 kayaks, 2 canoes, a paddle boat, and a handful of hanging hammock chairs for you to relax in. Take a canoe or kayak out on the river, or bring along tubes for some easy river floating.

As the day comes to a close, head back into the house to relax on your plush queen bed found in the master and second bedroom, while the kids pile into their own room with twin-over-twin bunk beds and an additional twin for the eldest.

Unlike many other Dunnellon properties, this marvelous home boasts a private dock for direct, exclusive access to the deep Rainbow River waters. Spend your day swimming, snorkeling and fishing, or head upstream to join the hundreds of people tubing down the crystal-clear waterway.

Fishermen can dock their water toys, canoes and kayaks at the private covered dock on Rainbow River, or venture further out for world-class Bass fishing in the tea-colored Withlacoochee River.

Hop on one of the provided bicycles and explore the area from a different perspective, adventuring through the nearby bike paths and visiting the heart of Dunnellon, only 10 minutes away. There you'll find dozens of places to dine, shop, and experience the local nightlife. The town has stayed true to their roots, so be sure to take advantage of the beautifully unique antique shops and boutiques around town.

If you're up for the drive, Disney World is less than 2 hours away and sure to be an unforgettable trip! Let the kids explore the parks, meet princesses, and twirl upside down on roller coasters - you'll have tired and happy tykes to take home after a magical day at Disney!

Awesome time!

  • 5 of 5

Great time! So convenient to everything! Loved all the amenites...several kayaks, canoes, firepit, beautiful upper and lower dock, Gayle was super nice - met her and didn't 'bug' us the rest of our stay; but there if you need anything!! Great home and location! We went kayaking, tubing, canoeing and at night made s'mores, played games and drank adult beverages. Wi-Fi an added + for music, etc... Loved it, we will be back again for our 3rd year next year!!

Beautiful, scenic and quiet

  • 5 of 5

Our stay on the rainbow River was very peaceful. The views from the house and from the two-story dock/deck were breathtaking. There were plenty of kayaks and canoes for our group of seven. We really enjoyed the large fire pit area with folding chairs And my kids loved the Hammock swings. This house is located on the end of the rainbow River and is very close to shopping and restaurants. The owner was very responsive to our needs and took care of issues to our satisfaction.

Beautiful river

  • 3 of 5

We rented this home to be able to visit with family in the area and hang out on rainbow river. We rarely stayed at the house except to sleep. The house is an older house but suited our purpose since we were on the river all day. House needs updating and ants were a problem which they must be aware of since there was any spray available. For the price and for our needs, we were satisfied with our stay.

Beautiful spot on the Rainbow River

  • 5 of 5

This house was more than what we had hoped for--on the river, with kayaks and canoes at the ready so you can pop right out on the water. The location is so gorgeous. The owner has created a wonderful dock on the water with a system that makes getting in and out of the boats super user-friendly. You might not want to go anywhere else, since sitting on the dock and watching the fish, turtles and birds at any time of day is such a treat.

However, there is much to do nearby if you can tear yourself away--we put in kayaks at the top of the river at the park ($2 entry and a walk to put in boats) and kayaked down, also snorkeled back to KP Hole from upriver (you can pay $10 each to have a boat take you from KP Hole upriver and drop you out), kayaked to Swampy's for dinner, kayaked over and up the Withlacoochee River a bit to check it out. Headed to Crystal River to swim with the manatees. Strolled on the Dunnellon path--which is wheelchair accessible and from which you can look over and see the house at one point. We ate seafood at Peck's Old Port Cove on the West Ozello Trail (waterside so go in daylight) and Seafood Seller's (strip mall but good!) in Crystal River.

There were more adventures we wanted to undertake, but we ran out of time!!

We loved this house and think back fondly on our time there.

Very Nice!

  • 4 of 5

We had a wonderful time here! Loved the dock and the spaciousness of your home! We couldnt get the grill to work very well, but it still did what we needed, just took a while. But this was the ONLY snafu the entire trip! The use of the wonderful kayaks and canoees, the secluded peaceful surroundings made our family gathering very enjoyable! We will return!
