La naturaleza y la serenidad abundan en esta gran casa de vacaciones frente al río. Disfrute de la vista del río Rainbow desde el balcón de 800 pies cuadrados ubicado en el segundo piso o desde el porche del primer piso; Perfecto para el café de la mañana o atardeceres de la tarde. El patio trasero tiene un anillo de fuego y un gran muelle con área de descanso que está hecha para los moradores y descansando junto al río. Esta propiedad de 4 dormitorios / 3. 5 baños tiene capacidad para 14 personas, es limpia, cómoda y está equipada con las comodidades que deseará para unas vacaciones relajantes en el hermoso río.

El primer piso de esta propiedad se abre desde el gran porche hacia la sala de estar, el comedor y la cocina. La sala de estar tiene un sofá, un sofá y un cómodo sillón con una televisión de pantalla plana. El comedor tiene capacidad para ocho en la mesa y seis más en la barra de bar adyacente. La cocina está equipada con horno de rango superior, nevera grande, microondas, lavaplatos, cafetera, ¡y más! Justo al lado de la cocina hay un desayunador con una mesa para dos. Hay un medio baño fuera de las salas de estar abajo también. Una lavadora y secadora de tamaño completo están disponibles para su uso en la sala de lavandería. Ropa de cama y toallas están incluidas.

Hay dos habitaciones en el primer piso con un cuarto de baño jack-and-jill entre ellos. El primer dormitorio amplio tiene una cama king, duerme dos. El segundo dormitorio tiene dos camas individuales, duerme 2. El baño de Jack-and-Jill tiene una bañera / ducha de inmersión.

El segundo piso tiene los dormitorios restantes, baños y el balcón de gran tamaño. Tres dormitorios incluye dos camas dobles, capacidad para 4 personas. El cuarto dormitorio es el principal y tiene una cama king, un vestidor y un baño en suite, para 2 personas. El gran patio tiene una hermosa vista del río Rainbow. Tiene un anillo de fuego con zona de estar y un gran muelle con vistas perfectas del río. El muelle grande tiene una zona de asientos incorporada, y hay una rampa de lanzamiento de kayak / paddleboard. Esta casa está situada justo al norte del lanzamiento de tubería más popular en el río, KP hole, y justo al sur de los manantiales de cabeza.

Perfect retreat

We had family members from age 4 to 74. We were all comfortable in the house. We spent most of our time on the dock or in the river. Beautiful location. The house was clean and spacious everything we needed for a family retreat over spring break!

Beautiful view, Spacious property

Overall, the property met our needs well. We rented this house and the one next door but we all hung out here most of the time. The home is dated and was a bit musty but all the rooms are very spacious with big closets (great infant sleeping room!). Most beds were comfortable (upstairs King was hard and squeaky). The living/dining area really held a lot of people well. Long tables made our Thanksgiving gathering fun. The owner lived next door and was VERY helpful and responsive. The view of the river was WONDERFUL! It's not fancy or updated but for our family gathering on a budget, it was great.

Great house for families

Fantastic location! Large home with lots of extra space. Easily accomodates 14 people. Absolutely gorgeous spot on the river! Not a modern house, but we did not expect it to be, nor did we care. However, the house is not clean. Odd little crusty pill-like residue in the kitchen cabinets, ceiling fans with 10 years of dust on them, lots of mold...needs to be cleaned better! This was the only downside to our stay. Still, highly recommend if you have a large group and want to have fun!

Great location

The positives Beautiful spot on the rainbow river, the house was large and spacious for a big group. The house was overall very clean with minor exceptions like cob webs. No issues with bugs. We enjoyed using the rafts left at the property and appreciated having a blower and vacuum to get rid of the sand that gets tracked in. The negatives- the check in the day of was not clear. Online said one thing but I received a call the day of asking what time I was arriving so the caregiver could meet me. Only issue was I was not the first one arriving in our group so had to try to Coordinate between the two last minute. The biggest negative was a series of unusual things that happened in the house that everyone in our group left earlier than planned. Started with Lights turning on in the middle of the night, doors opening, hearing someone scream in the house, the final night was someone knocking on the door at midnight with no one there. Many in our group do not believe in paranormal activity and thought there was a squatter in the house but whatever/whoever it was, was enough to scare us. The caregiver did watch the house and came over to see why we were leaving early I expressed our experience and he said he’d never heard anyone complain of that before.

Great location but house needs upkeep and booking proceed needs more attention to details

This was a bumpy stay because they “weren’t aware” we were coming even though we booked 4+ months in advance (the owner is very nice and we were offered some nights off to compensate). There was no power in the kitchen when we arrived and no hot water and there were tools and “things” all over the yard, including a gas tank and a ax (not very child proof). There were numerous problems with electric breakers and things not working and also an extra day without power because of an oversight. The house has an extra room that looks like an unfinished kitchen full of unorganized things, adjacent to the master bedroom. The master and adjacent room are divided by a sliding door, so you can hear everything. The adjacent room has no shower as such, it’s more like a shower head coming out of a wall and pointing at the toilet, go figure. This odd room is not counted in the room count so you can consider it extra. The house is comfortable, the AC works fine and we did get hot water once the water heater was replaced. There didn’t seem to be enough towels or silverware so bring your own if you have a large group (we were 11). Also bring your pillow if you’re picky. The location is close to rainbow spring so it’s easy to access by kayak. We had a great time.

Best Rainbow Location for Large Group

We loved our trip to rainbow. We would swim, kayak and watch wildlife every day. The property manager is very helpful, and the price is unbeatable for the location. The home is outdated so keep your expectations in check, but it more than makes up for it with location, space and price. It also is well stocked with everything you need for a great trip.

Great spot on the Rainbow River!

Great location! Right on the river & plenty of room. Can easily snorkel or paddelboard to KP Hole for a good trip. Property is a little older but everything worked well. Kitchen well stocked. Great porch for hanging out and viewing the river. Nice swimming right at the property.

Went to Florida for a friendcation and found this beauty. The property was amazing and peaceful. You can rent kayaks right up the road. Highly recommend to anyone that loves nature!!

Not properly represented

Unfortunately this property was not properly represented. We came with a group of people ages 12-60 and upon arrival the beds were broken, there was black mold in the bathrooms, nothing has been cleaned, mysterious red marks on the walls, not to mention none of the windows locked and the locks to the doors were broken. There is a care taker to the property that did come go check and see if everything was ok, but he did so at 12am. While I had young girls with me, and instead of calling first, he stood on the back porch and seemed to be watching the young girls through the windows. Needless to say after a short encounter with him, we needed up moving to a hotel when he informed us that he was going to be coming in and out of the house to do maintenance work, and could not tell us what time. We felt extremely uncomfortable, and decided this was not the right property for us. The river is very beautiful and in the owners defense it sounds like they do not live near by and rely on the caretaker to maintain everything. After an awful experience with vrbo customer service, we were able to speak with him ans he granted us a refund. I think the house and property could be nice, just needs some major work, and the caretaker needs a understanding of approaching renters at reasonable hours, appropriate behavior towards women and children, and how to deep clean.

....the neighborhood is stunning....then, you arrive at this house. The entire trip we were battling three to four German roaches crawling out through the cabinets whenever entering the kitchen. There are cobwebs and dust inside and throughout. The river makes it break even because it’s gorgeous. The owner/caretaker just kept walking in unannounced without a mask in the beginning until we put our foot down. (The guy was nice but it was just over the top) the property manager did her best. But I way overpaid. There were sheets and shower curtains hanging for curtains in an upstairs room that had junk stuffed in an adjacent empty room. I have never written even a slightly bad review since using VRBO for many years. But I just feel I way over paid and it was not represented fairly. I have pictures to prove any of this. If the price was 1/2 what I paid a night I wouldn’t even be writing this. It’s a large spacious house. Just needs work. (Bring your own bug spray) they only have fly, and bedbug spray under the kitchen sink and no roach spray....no joke) The Property Manager made up for the experience; very professional and fair. Good mediator.

Excellent location

The home was in a great location, easy to find, plenty of parking. John was amazing... he greeted us (and didn't get upset that we were very late checking in!), arranged for multiple issues to be fixed quickly, and even setup the firepit for us (perfect weather for s'mores). As others have said, the home could use a really good cleaning, but other than that, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Excellent place on river

Excellent set up for our family. John was right there to address problems. Needs deep cleaning inside and out. Some small roaches and sugar ants but this is Florida. These things could be upsetting to some. Kids and adults loved our time there.

COVID getaway

We had beautiful weather and a wonderful week on the river. Love the location, close to the head! Love the layout and size of the rooms in the home....great for having a crowd. Would have like to have the home inside and out cleaned! Definitely needs some attention.

Our canoe and bike get-away

The house was spacious, the river was beautiful. A few cobwebs in the windows and dust on the ceiling fans (oops!) However, the kitchen, dining & bathroom areas were all super clean; as were the sheets, towels and blankets. John is a super nice and accessible owner and will help you with any glitches that may come up. We would go again!

Magical!

The most beautiful peaceful getaway. The location was incredible, we spent so much time on the dock and on the river. The house had everything we needed. A couple things we had to provide for ourselves like dish soap, laundry soap, and trash bags. We didn’t want to leave the river! Would highly recommend this magical spot!

Great location on Rainbow River

We really enjoyed the property with it’s proximity to both Rainbow River State Park and KP Hole boat launch. Mr. Whittaker was able to address any concerns we had with the house and addressed them in a timely manner and gave us us some great suggestions for activities near Dunnellon. We were able to put in our floats at his property and leisurely float down to KP Hole boat landing for a great tuning experience. We shall return!
