Affordable, Breathtaking Luxury! Private yet Close to Everything

The Unicorn House is a new, custom built eco friendly villa featuring 4 bedrooms and 3.5 baths. This paradise on earth vacation home has spectacular panoramic views overlooking the Pacific Ocean that can be enjoyed from every part of the house including the infinity pool, outdoor patio area, or multiple deck areas. The open floor concept provides a great room with spacious windows and allows handicap accessibility. All stainless appliances (fridge, dishwasher, microwave, washer, dryer) are new and the kitchen features granite counters and custom hardwood cabinets to create wonderful gourmet meals during your stay. An air fryer is also included for preparing healthy and tasty meals.

The home includes reliable Wifi, air conditioning, water purification system, lower level handicap accessibility with large bathroom and ramp, washer and dryer, solar powered hot water, housekeeping before and after your stay, optional gourmet on-site chef (added fee), and other extra services available on request.

Only a three minute drive away are beaches that you can observe whale watching and other tourist activities. Surrounding wildlife include toucans, monkeys, butterflies, sloths, whales, and parrots. Additionally, tropical plants and flowers surround the property including palm trees, birds of paradise, orchids, bromeliads, and many others.

If you are looking for an affordable and unforgettable Costa Rican vacation, you will love Casa Unicornio Azul. We do recommend 4x4 for your vehicle for easy access on our short but steep driveway.

Great week!

This place was great for our family of 6. Quiet but well located to a number of great things to do...zip lining, snorkeling, waterfall exploring, beach walking, and beautiful views. The pool was a great way to cool off at the end of a hot day. It was a great week!!

Wonderful experience

We had a wonderful stay at this house with a stunning view! The house was spacious enough for our group of seven, offering plenty of room to relax and enjoy. The convenience of the location was excellent. A special shout-out to the manager, Henry, who was incredibly helpful and attentive, making our stay even more enjoyable. Highly recommend this place for a comfortable and memorable getaway!

Very Nice Stay

The house is very comfortable and well-maintained. The bedroom ACs all worked well and were needed due to the local temps. The pool and patio were lovely and a great place to watch the sunset. The house eis close to the beach and local waterfalls. The owner and manager were very responsive and helpful. The driveway is a bit rough but nothing we couldn't manage.

Inoubliable !

Nous avons passé une semaine inoubliable à 7 dans cette magnifique villa...L'habitation est extrêmement bien pensée et conçue. Le jardin est magnifique, les réveils avec les cris des singes hurleurs non loin de la villa resterons dans nos mémoires...La vue sur Playa Ballena est sublime. Henry a été d'une aide parfaite pour faire de séjour quelque chose de fabuleux. Encore un grand merci à lui... Nous gardons de beaux souvenirs de ce séjour et espérons pouvoir y retourner un jour.

GORGEOUS !! Perfect Home made our Family Vacation the BEST EVER!

This home is simply stunning !!! There was no feeling better than being at the top of a hill, overlooking the Pacific Ocean! Each morning we woke up to a beautiful sunrise, and each evening stunning sunsets. We loved our stay at this house. It was plenty of room for 8 of us, and our kids said it was the BEST vacation they ever had! We felt safe at the top of the hill, and the added security of the private locked gate made us feel even safer! Henry was a wonderful housekeeper, and Anne was a wonderful owner!! This home is gorgeous, and highly recommend it and would definitely return! ** You WILL need 4 wheel drive to get up the hill!!! But don't let this discourage you from renting! There is nothing like having a huge property on top of the hill, and overlooking Uvita! You can even see the Whales Tale ! Thank you!!!

Stunning architecture, incredible sunsets

Our vacation on Costa Rica and stay at Casa Unicornia Azul was everything we hoped for and more! A beautiful home, air conditioned bedrooms, delicious home cooked meals, beautiful pool, gorgeous sunsets, and breathtaking ocean views. The property manager Henry took excellent care of us. The house is close to national parks, beautiful beaches, and sportfishing. Two excellent nearby restaurants are Exotica and Citrus.

We spent a few days at the house and had a wonderful time. Henry was very helpful and the accommodations had everything you needed. You will need a 4x4 to get up the driveway, but you get use to the drive. Uvita is beautiful and peaceful. We would return

Wonderful house with spectacular view

We had an unbelievable relaxing vacation in this spacious delightful house. Perched up high on a mountain we could look down below and see the Pacific Ocean. Lots of chairs and hammocks on the back deck and under the tiki hut as we felt the gentle breezes. The pool was refreshing to swim in (and beautiful to look at also.) We enjoyed seeing the sunset every day. The house is spacious, nicely decorated, comfortable, and well equipped, especially the kitchen. Both the inside and outside of this house are very appealing and clearly very well maintained. Henry, the manager, was very friendly and helpful in every way. He can set you up with fishing, snorkeling, and all kinds of activities. We loved it when his sister came over and prepared from start to finish some of the most delicious food we have ever had. In addition, there is a grocery store as well as many restaurants close by. Our favorite restaurants were Exotica and Citrus! We highly recommend the Blue Unicorn House for anyone's vacation.

Wonderful house, very comphortable and luxurious in very private location.

We had wonderful time staying at Anne’s property. We had everything we needed and more. House located very privately on the top of the hill, yet it is 5 min driving (or 30 min walking) to the beach with at least 2 supermarkets within 2-4 min drive and multiple restaurants including French and Spanish cuisines. Henry, the property manager, was always available and very helpful, whether we needed advice on picking restaurant or attractions or needed extra mattresses for kids. Property has 4 bedrooms, 2 upstairs are amazingly comphortable, each with private bathroom and big closet with safe. 2 downstairs are sharing full bathroom and there is a half bathroom on the first floor as well. Kitchen has everything you need to cook your own meal, pots and pans as well as dishes and silverware. Laundry room equipped with washer and dryer, everything is working with no problem. Bathroom towels was also provided,but we brought our own for the beach. Last thing I want to mention is amazing pool that you can watch gorgeous Costa Rican’s sunset right from that pool... breathtaking view. We loved our stay at Casa Unicornio Azul and planning to go back again. Thank you,Anne and Henry for our wonderful vacation. L.

All the Comforts of Home in Beautiful Uvita, Costa Rica!

This home exceeded our expectations! Anne was very nice and accommodating during our booking process and answered all questions quickly! We arrived later than expected but Henry (the caretaker) was there to meet us and go over everything with the house, etc. House is a year old and pictures are accurate! We were 2 families of 5 (10 total) and were very comfortable. Lots of space! Kitchen is fully equipped and there is a bbq and outdoor fridge as well. View is beautiful and every morning we heard the howler monkeys and saw the Toucans, Parrots, Lizards, etc! Fantastic sunsets from the pool/deck. Perfect location! Not as touristy as Jacos (which we preferred) but as mentioned a perfect location to do all activities! Short drive/walk to “Whale Tail” beach. Lots of great restaurants nearby - we went to Los Laureles (fish tacos & natchos to die for!) & Pizza Time (real wood burning! Yum). While in Uvita we went to the beach, hiked to the nauyaca Falls, went Horseback Riding at sunset on the beach (Les Merceds Ranch) and surfing lesson (Sunset Surf Dominical) ... and then ended up back at the house to unwind with a cold one in the pool! Grocery store is a Few minutes away and has everything! We definately would come back!

Amazing stay in Uvita

First time visiting Costa Rica with family and friends and we treated ourselves to a luxurious home! A total of four adults and five children ranging in ages from 5-12years old shared this newly built home and it worked perfectly for us! First off, before we got there the property owner was in constant communication with us regarding the amenities available at the house and assured us we would be in good hands with the property manager should any problems/needs arise. Henry cleaned the pool on mornings(large bugs end up in pools-it’s just what happens in Costa Rica) and when an issue with the front door lock occurred, he came out and changed the entire lock system that very day! Even when we requested a hammock be placed on the upstairs balcony, Henry came out and took care of this for us too! The home featured two amazing master bedrooms upstairs, and two additional bedrooms downstairs. Each master bedroom has a beautiful full size bathroom along with plenty of storage space and a more than adequate closet system. The downstairs bedrooms provided ample space for all of our kids which included a futon being placed in one of the rooms for an additional bed. Between the downstairs bedrooms was a full size bathroom to share and an additional half bathroom was located between the kitchen and laundry room(Brand new washer and dryer proved very useful). The living room hosted plenty of room for dinner and accommodated even three more adults and three more kids as we had friends over each day! The kitchen was stocked with all the necessities and there was plenty of plates/cups/cutlery etc. The patio provided space for eating/lounging, and mostly provided the perfect platform to view the most perfect sunsets! I must say the view from the home is worth a thousand words! Whether you enjoy the view from the patio or the upstairs balcony(large enough to accommodate two loveseats and a hammock or two) it truly is tranquility! The pool is perfect for swimming/cooling/playing needs and is nestled between the house and a large outdoor palapa(hut) perfect for additional covered space needs and stocked with an outdoor refrigerator and propane grill for outdoor entertaining. With an outdoor shower along the pool and a nearly completed bathroom(Bathroom was not finished during our trip), the outdoor area made everything flow wonderfully at the house. The house is centrally located in Uvita and provides nearby access to several beaches.

Review of Casa Unicornio Azul

We enjoyed our 3 week stay at Casa Unicornio Azul over Christmas/New Year’s 2017 very much! This is a beautiful new construction with many unique features. The easy access to the property from the main road made it convenient to enjoy the beach, local tourist attractions, restaurants, etc. We loved the panoramic ocean view, we have stayed at other places in the area, and this was definitely the best view we have seen! The amazing infinity swimming pool was lovely, and the shaded gazebo was nice on hot days to relax in the hamocs. The amenities were comfortable, nice kitchen, air conditioning, WIFI, alarm, fence, and best of all beautiful and private balconies, decks, and gardens. No visible neighbors so we felt we had the entire mountain to ourselves, without the long drive! We felt very safe and secure as well. The service was incredible, Henry the property manager ensured every detail was to our satisfaction. He really went the extra mile to make sure we felt at home in the house. We definitely recommend this house to anyone looking for a great vacation in the Uvita area. PURA VIDA!

Absolutely Wonderful!

Everything about this home is absolutely wonderful! The house is brand new with high end furnishings and designed really well. Everything was very clean. The kitchen and living room are open concept and spacious which is great for spending time together. The bedrooms and beds are very comfortable. We absolutely love the pool and patio - almost all of our dinners were alfresco enjoying the beautiful ocean views and sunsets. We would highly recommend this beautiful home!

We married in Costa Rica, and plan to retire in Costa Rica eventually. We decided to build our retirement home early and rent it out so others can enjoy the experience we love so much. We built the ideal home we want to live in, so we know others will love it as well.

Plus, when you rent this property, you will have the chance to meet a local Costa Rican family (our brother is our Property Manager) and experience the generosity and happy attitude that is characteristic of the Costa Rican people.

The Unicorn House is unique with both it’s extreme accessibility and amazing ocean views. The private drive is close to the main road, yet the home is removed from any noise, creating an atmosphere of a private jungle. This vacation home is also very family friendly as safety is our priority. Casa Unicornio Azul is in a safe location and the home is equipped with the latest security system that is regularly updated. Additionally, the roads leading to the property are safe and do not require precarious mountain travel. Our property manager, an Uvita local resident, is bilingual in English and Spanish, and lives nearby to be on call in the event you need anything. He is committed to your complete satisfaction.
