Welcome to your oasis in Old North Durham! Inspired by Sarah P. Duke Gardens, our charming 100-year-old home offers a perfect blend of history and modern design. Just a 5-min walk to Central Park and 10 mins to downtown, this kid- and pet-friendly retreat features a backyard with a fire pit, lounge chairs, and a patio. Meticulously decorated by a renowned interior designer, this inviting home is ready to welcome you. Make it your home away from home!
I just wanted to clarify the setup so everything is clear before arrival. The home is a duplex, but your unit is completely separate and private. You will have your own private space and entrance. The only shared areas are the small stairway area and the backyard/hot tub area. The setup is similar to a boutique hotel where you have your own private unit, but a few common areas are shared. Guest overlap is usually very minimal, and most guests book for the location, privacy, and romantic setup. The hot tub is open 24 hours, so you can enjoy it whenever works best for you. We are also right downtown and next to the social district, which makes it a great spot for a relaxing stay. We would love to host you, but I always like to make sure guests understand the layout before arrival.

Great location! Cute place had everything we needed and was very comfortable. We did not use the hot tub, but outdoor area was nice. We would stay here again.
Great spot in Durham. The place is safe, clean, and has all the amenities you need. My partner and I enjoyed ourselves becuase of the central location. Quick drive to Chapel Hill, Raleigh, and Cary if you need to. Wegmans 15-18 min away.
We had a very nice stay in Durham. The area the apartment was in made it so easy to walk to many restaurants and coffee shops which was nice after a long day in meetings! The room was clean and well put together.
The room was clean, bright, and very welcoming. The house is in a lovely and family friendly neighborhood. It is a very peaceful setting, with a very nice back yard, patio, and hot tub. Communication with the host was easy, and responses very quick. My wife and I most certainly enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to anyone!

Thank you for the truly amazing review! Y’all are welcome back anytime
This property was convenient and close to many downtown attractions/businesses. It was very clean and the hot tub was a great selling point. It was much appreciated after walking all over town for 2 days. This is a very cramped space, the bed is super soft (which is great if that's your preference), and the floor is uneven--which was a bit trippy at times (it's an older home), but overall the apartment worked well for our trip.
I am in the business myself. So for me to say this, it's coming from a professional standpoint. The property was delightful, easy to find. And most of all, I felt safe being a single woman who has medical needs, knowing that a kind family was right downstairs allowed me to sleep and relax. They thought of absolutely everything, even the cooler above the stove. So I would have something to take my beautiful fruition picnic downstairs to their beautiful outside fire pit garden, hot tub area. It's almost like being at the beach, even though you're in the middle of the city, I hopefully will be returning. If you're in the area, this is where you should stay.He does have 2 units.Check them out please.Thank you so much for your hospitality,Zoe WillOwner of Atypical Home services for 25 years
