Wonderful home and host

  • 5 of 5

We loved Rene's home, his hospitality, it's location and JD, his dog. Everything was just as advertised. The food to get us started was such a nice touch. We only wished we had more time on this trip. Look forward to our return.

Excellent in every way'

  • 5 of 5

Rene is a most gracious host, as was Vilma the housekeeper. We enjoyed JD the dog, too. The house is so beautiful and clean , with everything we needed at the ready. We are sad to leave after our week here, but hope to be able to stay here again.

Lovely House

  • 4 of 5

My 2 friends and I enjoyed our stay for Semana Santa in Rene's house. It is well appointed, spacious, and well-equipped. Rene provided some food items and drinks which were much appreciated after our late arrival. The kitchen was more than adequate for cooking. The upstairs "rain shower" was great! The location is very quiet and peaceful and although I don't particularly enjoy dogs, JD was a pleasant, gentle, quiet companion. It is a bit of a walk (20 minutes?) to Parque Central which is the only reason I give it 4 stars rather than 5. It is not far to the Market and very close to the cemetery, which was great since a couple of the week's processions came right into the neighborhood. Very enjoyable week; highly recommended.

Magnificent villa to call your Antigua home!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I just returned from a glorious 10-day stay in this amazing villa in Antigua. Welcomed by the very gracious owner Rene when we arrived, we felt at home right from the start. For us, this villa is the ideal location for wondering throughout the great city of Antigua and exploring. The area was extremely quiet at night and we could easily walk into the center of town for restaurants, shops, and nightlife. It was perfect balance of living on the quiet outskirts of town while enjoying the amazing culture and cuisine this city has to offer. Our accommodations were extremely wonderful, the beds comfortable, the place immaculate, and the style and design of the villa caused us to wonder how we had found such a perfect place to call home. In addition, Santiago, a friendly and very accommodating driver, enhanced our stay as did the housekeeper who not only kept our place spotless, she even did out laundry! Rene was never invasive, but because his own home is on the property, he was always available to give guidance and suggestions on a variety of things to see and do. I can not imagine how our stay could have been any nicer and we will return again, as we barely scratched the surface of the adventures and things to do in Antigua.
